Mother sobs in court while testifying about 8-year-old daughter's rape and murder

The mother of a young girl who was abducted by a man posing as a good Samaritan in 2013 sobbed in court as she faced her daughter’s accused killer.

Rayne Perrywinkle testified in a Jacksonville courtroom on Monday about the day her daughter, 8-year-old Cherish Perrywinkle, was kidnapped from a Florida Walmart and later found brutally murdered.

The bereaved mother said that she was shopping at Family Dollar store with her three daughters when she noticed Donald James Smith, 61, hovering nearby.

Perrywinkle said that Smith took notice of her struggling to pay for her family’s items, and when she came outside, he offered to take her family to a nearby Walmart and pay for their purchases with a gift card, which he claimed his wife would bring to the store.

“He told me I was safe,” Perrywinkle said in court. “He looked into my face and told me I was safe.”

Perrywinkle and her children all got into Smith’s van and went to a nearby Walmart and began shopping. She says she became worried when Smith’s wife still hadn’t shown up at the store by 10 p.m.

When Perrywinkle’s daughters began complaining of hunger, Smith told Rayne he would buy them cheeseburgers from a McDonald’s inside the Walmart. Cherish went with him to purchase the food and was never again seen alive.

Surveillance footage from the night of the incident shows Smith and Cherish briefly standing outside the McDonalds before leaving the store together and getting into Smith’s van, which then drives out of the parking lot and out of sight.

After realizing the McDonalds was actually closed, Cherish’s panicked mother borrowed a Walmart employee’s cellphone to call 911, about 20 minutes after Smith had walked off with Cherish.

“Why in the world would he take my little girl?” Perrywinkle said to the dispatcher. “I hope to God he doesn’t kill her and I hope to God he doesn’t rape her.”

The next morning, Cherish’s half-naked body was discovered under a fallen tree in a grassy marsh area several miles away from the store where she was abducted. When Smith was arrested, he was allegedly wet from the waist down.

State Attorney Melissa Nelson told the jury on Monday that Cherish had been raped, smothered and had blunt force trauma to the back of her head.

“He gagged her, raped her, he sodomized her, then he strangled her. He gagged her with such force, her gums and nostrils bled. He strangled her with such force her eyeballs bled,” Nelson said. “Cherish did not die quickly, and she did not die easily. In fact, hers was a brutal and tortured death.”

Smith was charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual battery, but has pleaded not guilty. He may face the death penalty if convicted.

Facebook Actively Supports Terrorists While Censoring American Patriotism

Facebook’s Community Standards Department will ban your account for identifying corruption from the liberal left. However, take an indicted terrorist, Facebook will make sure their account remains before the public eye. We can draw no othr conclusion than the fact that Facebook supports terrorism.

Zebrafish study: Taking migraine meds while pregnant linked to autism in children

Image: Zebrafish study: Taking migraine meds while pregnant linked to autism in children

(Natural News)
A research study conducted at the Oregon State University and Wenzhou Medical University showed that exposure to a compound used to treat migraines and seizures causes symptoms related to autism. The researchers used zebrafish as a model to conduct a study on autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their causes.

“The main thing we want to emphasize is the usefulness of this model. We can very quickly look at genetic and environmental factors associated with autism that are very difficult to understand in humans. The ease and speed of the genetic analysis in this model make it very attractive compared to a rodent model,” said co-author Courtney Roper, a postdoctoral fellow in OSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences.

ASD consists of five related neurodevelopmental diseases that are defined by extreme impairments in social interactions, inability to have proper modes of verbal and nonverbal communications, repetitive behavioral patterns, and weird sensitivity to sensory stimulation.

The causes of autism are not known, but it has been linked with both genetic and environmental components, including prenatal exposure to two drugs: thalidomide, a sedative linked to severe birth defects, and valproic acid, which is used to prevent migraine headaches. (Related: Autism, mercury, aluminum and vaccine-induced encephalopathy)

Autism diagnoses have been rising since the 1990s. About one child in 68, will be classified as having autism spectrum disorder, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

ASD affects all ethnic, socioeconomic, and racial groups but is around 4.5 times more common among boys (one in 42) than girls (one in 189).

Zebrafish are small freshwater species that go from a tiny cell to a swimming fish in just five days. They reproduce at a fast rate and are essential for studying the genetic components of vertebrates, including the effects of environmental contaminants and pharmaceuticals on early embryonic development.

Zebrafish have an uncanny likeness to humans at the genetic, cellular, and molecular levels; this means that the implications of findings associated with zebrafish are extremely relevant to humans.

Studies on embryonic zebrafish are particularly important, for embryonic zebrafish develop quickly, are transparent, and can easily thrive even in small amounts of water.

The research’s findings concluded that treating zebrafish embryos with valproic acid starting eight hours after fertilization results in a significant rise in the ASD macrocephalic phenotype, that is, an enlarged head.

It also caused hyperactivity in embryos and larvae.

“In addition to the ASD-like characteristics, we observed an overgrowth of mature newborn neurons and neural stem cells in the developing brain after VPA exposure. Next, now that we have models for behavior established, is to start looking at the genetic and environmental interactions, examining some of the potential factors that might be driving autism in humans,” Roper said.

The findings were published in the journal Neurotoxicology and Teratology. The National Natural Science Foundation of China supported the conduct of this research.

More on autism spectrum disorder

Some of the behavioral and medical conditions that are associated with autism spectrum disorder include anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, gastrointestinal problems, depression, epilepsy, and sleep disturbances.

According to the CDC, children with autism are:

  • 1.8 times more likely than children without developmental illnesses to have asthma
  • 1.8 times more likely to have eczema
  • 1.8 times more likely to have food allergies
  • 2.2 times more likely to have chronic headaches
  • 3.5 times more likely to have chronic diarrhea

Court Orders Release of Body Cams in Vegas Shooting While Ignoring Casino Surveillance Footage

body camera footagebody camera footage

Las Vegas – More than four months after the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history, a judge has ruled that police must release 911 calls, the remaining Body Cam footage from their officers and other records within the next 30 days. But the repeated requests for the release of the Mandalay Bay Hotel’s surveillance footage seem to have been ignored once again.

Nevada state court Judge Richard Scotti ruled that the records must be released to the media outlets that have been requesting them—with the first requests coming in hours after the Oct. 1 shooting—but that the department is allowed to redact the names, social security numbers and “portions of videos in which people could be easily recognized.”

“If the government contended that the requested records were confidential or otherwise protected from disclosure, then the government had a duty to redact confidential information and produce the non-confidential portions of the records,” Scotti said.

The judge also argued that the practice of “wholesale withholding of documents” while claiming that they are all confidential, “suggests to this court that records have not been sufficiently scrutinized.”

While it is likely that additional body camera footage from the officers on the scene and initial reports from witnesses who called 911 will give meaningful insight into the mass shooting, Judge Scotti is leaving out one of the most crucial pieces of evidence—the surveillance footage from Mandalay Bay.

As one of the most popular casinos in Las Vegas, there is no doubt that Mandalay Bay is armed with a number of surveillance cameras that would have captured suspect Stephen Paddock entering the hotel in the days before the shooting, with enough luggage to conceal dozens of guns, more than 1,500 rounds of ammunition and other supplies.

In the days after the shooting, former chief executive of Wynn Resorts, Steve Wynn, suggested that Paddock may have escaped public attention by taking the service elevator, a perk typically given to “high rollers.” While that may explain why he did not raise any red flags when he initially arrived at the hotel, that does not explain why hotel staff members visited Paddock’s room at least 10 times in the days leading up to the shooting and noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

The surveillance footage from the front lobby may show what looked to be an average man checking into a hotel, but the surveillance footage from the 32nd floor is one of the most crucial aspects of the story.

While there have been a number of significant changes in the timeline of the massacre, one of the most glaring changes revolved around the account of Mandalay Bay Hotel security guard Jesus Campos, who was reportedly injured by Paddock. Campos went from being just another causality in the shooting to Paddock’s first victim, who was shot only once in the leg, despite the fact that the shooter reportedly fired 200 rounds down the hallway in his direction.

Attorney Craig Eiland, who is representing a number of the victims, revealed in November that not only did police officers respond to Campos after he was shot, they were right outside of Paddock’s door before he began shooting out of his hotel room window.

“As of yesterday it was that two—we knew about Campos—but there were two other police officers from MGM that were on the floor prior to the shooting,” Eiland said.

While the pending release of 911 records and body camera footage from the night of the shooting is a decent start, the release of Mandalay Bay’s surveillance footage—especially from the 32nd floor in the hours surrounding the shooting—has the ability to reveal significant facts that could finally give answers to the many families who are mourning the loss of their loved ones who died in the massacre.

Siberian River Mysteriously Turns Red While Venetian Canals Dry Up

Those who were excited about the Super Blue Blood Moon last week probably don’t live in Venice, where the pull of the Moon at its closest approach to Earth further dried up the canals already mysteriously on the edge of being bone dry. And, while the lunar eclipse that turned the Moon blood-red didn’t cause it, frustrated Siberians angry after a local river mysteriously turned the same color may swear at it anyways … at least until they get an explanation. What’s going on?

Better days in Venice

Let’s start with the canals. No matter what color they are, they’re the lifeblood of Venice, so any problems with them – and disappearance is definitely a big one – affect virtually everyone living in or visiting the beautiful city. Photographs taken last week (shown here and here) show gondolas resting in dry canal beds. Unfortunately, ‘dry’ doesn’t mean ‘empty’ as the pictures also reveal the garbage and debris that the waters normally hide.

A water-covered city knows its tidal calendar, so Venice was prepared for the low waters due to the Super Blue Blood Moon. This is also the third year in a row that droughts have contributed to extremely low – although not bone dry – water levels. However, experts are still mystified because the city continues to sink, which should make it prone to flooding – in Venice, that’s a good thing … or at least a better-than-no-water thing. Is the City of Canals destined to become the City of Great Places to Skateboard?

Will we ever see this again?

Meanwhile, a different problem is causing the residents of the Siberian city of Tyumen to avoid the Molchanka River because of what the media is calling … well, you can read it yourself:

“Experts say they so far cannot pinpoint the cause of what state news agency Itar-Tass called a ‘Biblical bombshell’.”

The “biblical bombshell” is a river that mysteriously and quickly turned red (more pictures here) and has not changed its hue in over a week. Tyumen is the home of many oil and gas companies, so the first inclination is to point fingers at them, not the bible. However, local officials doubted that explanation.

“Team of experts examining the area found no trace of sewage discharges. Extra water samples were taken. Laboratory results will be ready by the end of this week.”

That was on January 31st and no results have been released as of this writing, days after the “end of the week.” Meanwhile, the water isn’t moving, some residents say it’s getting redder and the Russian environmental watchdog group Rosprirodnadzor (The Federal Service for Supervision of Use of Natural Resources) isn’t making anyone feel better with comments like this:

“We have never dealt with this before so we are waiting for the results of tests.”

Hey, at least they have an environmental watchdog group.

While many people today (including news agencies) are quick to use the terms “biblical,” apocalyptic” and “end times” (like the story today about birds falling from the sky), the real problem is that our waterways and oceans are being affected constantly by humans (yes, the moon influenced the tide in Venice but humans built the city in spite of it) and watchdog groups are becoming an endangered species.

Are songs like “Watching the River Flow” and “Blue Bayou” destined for extinction too?

Cop Arrested for Robbing a Disabled Man of His Opioid Prescriptions, While On Duty

Hagerstown, Maryland – A police officer who has been a member of his department for more than 15 years was arrested and charged with distributing and possessing prescription opiate medications, which he stole from a disabled man while he was on duty.

Christopher Michael Barnett, a sergeant with the Hagerstown Police Department, was arrested after he was caught stealing from a disabled man who was physically unable to leave his bed. WJLA News reported that Barnett entered the man’s apartment using “a phony pretense,” and he then began to go through the man’s bottles of prescription painkillers.

When a caregiver arrived later and noticed that several of the man’s pills were missing, he called the police department, and Barnett was the one who was put on the phone. The report claims that Barnett was quick to hang up the phone, and decided to return to the apartment in person.

When Barnett arrived, the man was able to film him, and he caught the officer on camera promising to return the drugs and begging the man and his caregiver not to report the incident.

However, a news release from the police department claimed that Barnett was caught attempting to sell the drugs, and Investigators were presented with video footage of Sergeant Barnett providing a prescription narcotic to another individual at a location within the city of Hagerstown.”

Hagerstown Police Chief Victor Brito confirmed that after he was given the video, he moved to arrest Barnett, who has now been charged with distribution of controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, malfeasance in office and theft under $100.

“When we received this information, we acted as quickly as we do in any criminal matter to address the issue,” Brito said. “This will be treated the same as every case we handle on a regular basis, and he will be rightly afforded due process of the law.”

The police chief also said he was “sickened by this criminal act,” and he does not believe Barnett’s conduct reflects the values of other officers in the department.

“I cannot and will not make any excuses for this betrayal of our agency, badge, and community,” Brito said. “I’m personally deeply disappointed and quite frankly sickened by this criminal act. That said, I know in my heart that the men and women I serve with at the Hagerstown Police Department perform their duties with integrity and selfless dedication every day.”

While the police chief was adamant that this is the first case of such behavior he has seen within the Hagerstown Police Department, it should be noted that, as The Free Thought Project has documented on numerous occasions, this type of behavior happens in police departments across the country.

A police chief in Lee, Massachusetts, was caught stealing nearly $60,000 from a children’s Christmas charity fund; police officers in Denver, Colorado, were caught on video stealing blankets from homeless people; and a police officer in Grants, New Mexico, was caught stealing marijuana from his police department by footage captured on his own body camera.

In the case of Sgt. Christopher Michael Barnett, he has been suspended without pay, and he is now awaiting trial.

Russian Su-25 jet downed in Syria, pilot dies while fighting Al-Nusra

A Russian Su-25 jet has crashed in Idlib province in north-western Syria, the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed, adding that it was probably shot down by MANPAD. The pilot ejected but was killed by militants on the ground.

Preliminary data showed the Su-25 plane was downed by a man-portable air-defense system (MANPAD), the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

The attack took place when the jet was flying over the Idlib de-escalation zone on Saturday. The pilot parachuted down into the area controlled by Al-Nusra terrorist group, the statement said. He was killed during a confrontation with the militants from an unspecified group.

Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria together with Turkey which is also responsible for the Idlib de-escalation zone is now trying to retrieve the body of the Russian pilot, the Defense Ministry confirmed.

Tahrir al-Sham, the extremist group linked to Al-Nusra terrorists, has claimed responsibility for the downing of the Russian aircraft, according to Reuters.

Earlier, another militant group, Jaysh al-Nasr, which claims affiliation to the Free Syrian Army, also posted videos and statements about the Russian plane on its Twitter account. It said the jet was shot down by some air defense systems.

In July 2016, two pilots were killed when a Russian military helicopter was downed by Islamic State militants near Palmyra. They had been attacking advancing terrorists at Damascus’ request when it was shot down.

The Russian air campaign supporting anti-terrorist efforts by Syrian authorities lasted from September 2015 to December 2017. In mid-December, President Vladimir Putin visited the Khmeimim Airbase to announce the withdrawal of most of the Russian troop contingent from the country.

Moscow played a vital role in the defeat of Islamic State (IS, formerly known as ISIS) terrorist group in Syria, as well as other jihadist groups, including Al-Nusra. Around 60,000 fighters were eliminated during the campaign, according to the defense ministry.

Re: Israel welcomes Nazis while banning pro-Palestinian Jews

When former Labour Mayor of London Ken Livingstone was asked by a BBC interviewer if what Hitler did was legal, his response included the historical facts about a deal between the Nazis and the German Zionist movement. Coming as it did at the height of the 2016 “Labour anti-Semitism” crisis concocted by the media, his comments caused outrage. He was suspended from the Labour Party, and remains so to this day.

Livingstone was referring to the 1933 Haavara agreement, between the German Zionist movement and the Nazi government. The agreement facilitated the emigration to Palestine of some Jews with their wealth in return for the World Zionist Movement calling off its boycott of Germany. The removal of Jews from Europe, of course, was a common aim of both Zionists and the Nazis.

In arguing that the Nazi expulsion of Jews from Germany was, in effect if not intention, supportive of Zionist aims, Livingstone was invoking uncontroversial historical fact. Nevertheless, right-wing Labour MP and Israel supporter John Mann stalked Livingstone with a Channel 4 News crew and slandered him as a “Nazi apologist” and a Holocaust denier in front of the cameras.

Livingstone has since been persona non grata in the Labour Party, with even former allies distancing themselves from him. He may be guilty of being a loudmouth and not knowing when to hold his peace, but he is not guilty of anti-Semitism.

Read: Zionists give supporters of Israel a free pass for their anti-Semitism

It is worth comparing the fury of pro-Israel lobbyists and supporters over Ken Livingstone with their silence or active defence of Israel’s modern day alliance with fascists and neo-Nazis. It’s important to defend Livingstone’s right to talk about the historical facts relating to extreme right-Zionist collaboration, not least because an alliance with anti-Semites has been a crucial strategy of Zionist ideology ever since the late 19th century. It started with anti-Semitic Protestant Christian Zionists and later expanded to the Nazis.

Today, Israel is a key part of the global extreme-right alliance. Its greatest friend is the Trump administration, which has openly embraced the white supremacist “alt right” and staffed the White House with Nazi sympathisers. Even the leader of the Israeli Labour Party welcomed Trump’s ascension to the White House.

A demonstration takes place in solidarity in Charlottesville, US after Neo-Nazis lead a violent protest on 14 August 2017 [Josh Emerson‏/Twitter]

Most of the extreme-right groups in the world today are supporters of Israel, while the government of Israel is in cahoots with its right-wing counterparts in Poland and Hungary, which have encouraged Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism.

Despite Israel’s claim to be a bulwark against anti-Semites, the historical and current reality is that the Zionist regime has never cared about anti-Semitism globally. Or more accurately, it actually encourages and benefits from anti-Semitism. When there were anti-Jewish attacks in France, Netanyahu visited the country, claimed to be the Prime Minister of all Jews and called for French Jews to “come home” to Israel. The Jews in the synagogue where he was speaking responded by singing the French national anthem. Netanyahu, it seemed, apparently wanted the “Islamic State” fanatics responsible for the anti-Semitic attacks to succeed in their aims of ridding France of its Jewish citizens.

The Jews of Iraq, who mostly left in 1950, claim that attacks on their community were actually a plot by Israeli agents to drive them out of the country and head for Israel. Iraqi-born Israeli historian Avi Shlaim once recounted that, despite the fact that he’s yet to find evidence in the state archives for this, all of his Iraqi relatives believe that the bombings were carried out by Zionist agents, not Iraqi Arabs. Whoever was behind the bombing campaign, Israel certainly benefited from it.

The anti-Semitic tendency stretches all the way back to the origins of Zionism. As Theodor Herzl himself predicted, “The anti-Semites will become our most dependable friends, the anti-Semitic countries our allies.” He could have been talking about the situation today.

Read: How Israel learned to stop worrying and love Europe’s neo-Nazis

Moreover, Israeli moves extend this trend. As writer Natasha Roth put it in +972 Magazine recently, the Israeli government’s blacklist banning 20 activist and human rights groups which support BDS, the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, means that Israel has banned Jewish leftists, while welcoming Nazi groups.

“While Jews who support the boycott movement are now barred from visiting the country,” she wrote, “members of Nazi-allied organisations and anti-Semitic political parties continue to be allowed into Israel — including at the invitation of government officials.”

Sebastian Gorka is one example; a sworn member of a Hungarian fascist organisation which was allied with the Nazis during the war, and a former Trump advisor, he was a keynote speaker at an “anti-terror” conference in Israel last year. He is only one of many such right-wingers welcomed to the Zionist state.

These right-wing groups have not let go of their anti-Semitism, but are generally friendly towards Israel, because the existence of a “Jewish state” means that the Jews native to their own countries can be sent there, away from them.

The BDS movement, on the other hand, has made it clear that it is an anti-racist movement, opposed to all forms of bigotry, including anti-Semitism. That is why there are so many Jews in the movement, and why it continues to attract support, much to the chagrin of Israel and its right-wing support base.

A Neuroscientist Shares The Tremendous Insight She Gained While Having A Near Death Experience

Next Story

What if your left brain suddenly shut off and only the right side of your brain were active and working? This is something that can happen when you have a stroke, and exactly what neuroscientist Jill Bolte Taylor experienced in 1996 — and she was conscious of it happening.

Taylor’s story is not a new one. She gave a TED talk about the amazing journey she had the morning of her stroke and wrote a book about what she learned. I wanted to draw attention to this story today because ‘consciousness’ has become a huge topic recently, and Jill’s story, which gets at the heart of who we truly are, offers much to the discussion.

Think about some of the shows and movies that have taken over the collective consciousness over the past two years — The OA, Stranger Things, Sense 8, Interstellar, The Arrival, Unacknowledged — and you’ll see these share a common theme: the exploration of our reality and consciousness.

Even if these themes weren’t obvious to everyone who watched, they planted seeds that continue to germinate a desire to explore more about our reality and who we are.

A subject once viewed as purely religious has now become more acceptable to explore and to discuss scientifically. Once viewed as pseudoscience, consciousness is now becoming self evident.

“We are energy beings connected to one another through the consciousness of our right hemispheres as one human family. And right here, right now, all we are brothers and sisters on this planet, here to make the world a better place. And in this moment we are perfect. We are whole. And we are beautiful.”

Why Now?

But why? Why now? Why has this subject become so huge, not just in the minds of explorers, but also in pop culture? I examined this question in 2011 when I began a film project to discover why humanity seemed to be going through a mass shift in consciousness. I looked at science, the cosmos, daily global events, and what ancient cultures had been saying for years about things that apply to our own time, and I discovered that we are in fact going through the greatest and most profound shift in human history. No it’s not a renaissance, a small revolution of ideas, a new tech age, or even the natural progression that happens from generation to generation. This is much bigger. You can watch the film we released for free here.

In this moment it may be hard to wrap our minds around it, just as Jill had trouble grasping everything she was discovering during her stroke. This is why it’s imperative to practice presence and going within. I also believe it’s imperative to do this sober.

“Imagine what it would be like to be totally disconnected from your brain chatter that connects you to the external world. So here I am in this space and any stress related to my, to my job, it was gone. And I felt lighter in my body. And imagine all of the relationships in the external world and the many stressors related to any of those, they were gone. I felt a sense of peacefulness.”

We can achieve this through meditation and presence. We are always pushing for things like alcohol, cannabis, or psychedelics to calm ourselves, but until we truly recognize and ground in the fact that we must be able to live that reality in everyday life, at peace, with our soul connected and aware in our reality, we are simply still living unconscious. What we KNOW in our mind is not what defines how consciously aware we are of ourselves and reality. We can know a ton of words to describe what we truly are, but until we can experience it sober in everyday life, it’s simply a mental understanding, not one we are living.

Jill Bolte Taylor

Discovering Who We Truly Are

Taylor describes an understanding that we all can achieve through practice, meditation, taking quiet time to remember, or shifting consciousness through processes like those we use in our 5 Days of You Challenge.

“So who are we? We are the life force power of the universe, with manual dexterity and two cognitive minds. And we have the power to choose, moment by moment, who and how we want to be in the world. Right here right now, I can step into the consciousness of my right hemisphere where we are — I am — the life force power of the universe, and the life force power of the 50 trillion beautiful molecular geniuses that make up my form. At one with all that is.

Or I can choose to step into the consciousness of my left hemisphere where I become a single individual, a solid, separate from the flow, separate from you. I am Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, intellectual, neuroanatomist. These are the “we” inside of me.

Which would you choose? Which do you choose? And when? I believe that the more time we spend choosing to run the deep inner peace circuitry of our right hemispheres, the more peace we will project into the world and the more peaceful our planet will be. And I thought that was an idea worth spreading.”

I recently explored these questions in a status I posted on Facebook that I think is important to share here too:

I still think most of us underestimate the true nature of the shift we are experiencing on this planet. This isn’t a small revolution in tech, business, our economy or ideas… we’re reshaping the entire human experience from one that operates on ego and disconnection to one that has our soul living and driving our experience. We won’t need activism and revolutionary new ideas because the consciousness that will form, and is forming, on this planet (that of oneness consciousness) is not rigid, does not need “waking up,” and evolves naturally. Our systems will flow and change fluidly, there won’t be a fight to make it happen. We won’t need marketing to convince millions down a different path. We won’t even need this whole idea of sustainability and to teach our kids because it’s simply part of that state of consciousness.

Most changemakers and “thought leaders” are still approaching this whole shift from a 3D level of consciousness in many ways. I ring this bell right now because I feel it’s imperative we actually begin to anchor our meditations and thoughts in a reality that taps into the emerging consciousness and not one where we use our minds to try and figure out how to project a world that’s still of this state of consciousness but simply with some more harmonious elements. Get out of the mind and explore what the future really looks like, dream! … and try it sober, the truth is within you and it’s time to start practicing that deeply.

Female Journalists Were Blocked Behind Male Colleagues While Covering Pence's Israel Trip

Female journalists who traveled around the world to report on Vice President Mike Pence’s trip to Israel this week were literally blocked from doing their jobs on Tuesday morning.

Instead of watching and snapping photos of Pence, who was praying at the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem, this is what they saw:

The women were led to a fenced off area behind their male colleagues, which obstructed their vantage point and prompted many to decry the segregation on social media with the hashtag #PenceFence.

Men and women are customarily separated during prayer at the Western Wall, which is under the authority of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Western Wall Heritage Foundation.

“It was the same situation during President Trump’s visit to the Western Wall in May 2017,” the foundation said in a statement issued to The Washington Post. “We reject any attempt to divert the discussion from the important and moving visit of the U.S. Vice President and his wife at the Western Wall.”

Tal Schneider, a political correspondent with business newspaper Globes, said she felt like “a second-class citizen” from behind the fence at the wall.

“I find it offensive,” she told HuffPost. “The discriminatory treatment of women is infuriating and inappropriate for a modern state [like] Israel.”

Reporter Noga Tarnopolsky called the situation “a disgrace.”

“I have covered many visits; this was an aberrant first,” she tweeted.

The outrage adds tension to a visit already shadowed by controversy. Last month, President Donald Trump sparked massive protests and international condemnation when he officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel ― a move that upended decades of American foreign policy and threatens to stall the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Pence also faced angry protests during his two-day trip in response to the contentious shift in U.S. policy.

The “Pence Fence” fiasco also came one day after a Finnish female journalist in Israel was reportedly strip searched and told to remove her bra during a security check, apparently as a result of her Palestinian descent. According to reports, she refused to comply and was barred from visiting the prime minister’s office to cover Pence’s arrival on Monday.
