City Slaps Burn Victim with Violation for Not Mowing Lawn While He Was in the Hospital

Dallas, Texas – A homeowner who was severely injured after a natural gas explosion destroyed the heating unit in his home and left him with second-degree burns, was threatened by the city that he could face fines because he was not able to mow his lawn while he was in the hospital.

The notice from the city stated that the homeowner had just 7 days “to remove litter, solid waste, and/or cut and remove weeds and grass.” If he did comply before the deadline, the city threatened to forcefully “remove the litter and/or cut and remove weeds and grass” at the homeowner’s expense.

However, the man and his family have not been allowed on their property for nearly 3 months, and the violation was posted on the same fence that already had a “WARNING: Keep Out!” sign barring residents from the premises.

Image via NBC 5

The homeowner was injured after the heating and AC unit in his home exploded in February, causing second-degree burns that left him recovering in the hospital, according to a report from NBC 5. Not only was he physically unable to mow his lawn, but he could not send anyone else to do it because he was not allowed to access his property and any “litter” that accumulated on it was left there by workers who were working on the gas lines.

The man’s house was one of several that were damaged by natural gas explosions, and homeowners complained that the company responsible, Atmos Energy, did nothing to alert residents about an ongoing gas leak. An entire neighborhood was evacuated and nearly 3,000 residents lost their gas service while Atmos has worked to repair gas lines.

One of the explosions killed a 12-year-old girl in her home. Her family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging that Atmos Energy’s “failure to maintain its gas lines as required by federal and state law led to the girl’s death and injuries to her family and neighbors.”

Now that the City of Dallas has slapped an injured homeowner with a violation notification for failing to maintain his lawn when he was unable to do so, it is only increasing the frustration felt by residents who have been displaced from their homes for months because of the faulty gas lines, and who are now accusing the city of only caring about making money off its citizens through ridiculous fines and fees.

Another case of a city attempting to extract money from homeowners, without taking their health into consideration, happened recently in St. Peters, Missouri, where an elderly couple is being forced by the city to plant turf grass in their yard or face significant fees, even though the wife is allergic to it.

Carl and Janice Duffner found themselves embroiled in a legal battle when they were reported to the city for failing to plant at least 50 percent turf grass on their property after the city passed a new ordinance. A U.S. District Judge ruled against them and stated that the Duffners can be forced to plant turf grass in their own yard.

In response, the Duffners’ attorney said he believes the case could set a dangerous precedent because it proves that the local government has the power to threaten a family with thousands of dollars in fines and decades in prison because they refuse to add something to their property that will cause them physical harm.

In response to the outrage over the news that a hospitalized homeowner was being cited for failing to mow his lawn while he was in the hospital, a spokesperson for the City of Dallas told NBC 5 that while a code compliance inspector did leave a notice on the fence of the property “to notify the homeowner that they were in violation,” the city is now taking into account “the sensitive nature of the case” and they have decided not to issue the homeowner a citation.

Libya rendition victim sent to Gaddafi torture house settles case over UK involvement in kidnapping

The pair, who have been fighting for an apology and symbolic compensation payment of £1, have been embroiled in a legal battle for years after claims that Belhaj and his then-pregnant wife Fatima Boudchar were kidnapped in Asia in 2004 during a joint operation between the CIA and MI6 as part of a rendition program.

READ MORE: Libyan dissident can sue British govt over MI6 rendition policy, Supreme Court rules

Rendition – defined as the practice of covertly taking a suspect to be interrogated to a country with less rigorous regulations for the humane treatment of prisoners – was widely used in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. Belhaj and Boudchar were abducted and taken to a Tripoli prison under Muammar Gaddafi’s regime. Belhaj was the emir of the defunct Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, an anti-Gaddafi guerrilla group.

According to human rights charity Reprieve, which assisted the couple in their legal challenge, Belhaj was tortured in both Libya and at a CIA ‘blacksite’ in Asia.

Attorney General Jeremy Wright QC is due to make a statement on Thursday to MPs about what is expected to be the terms of the deal with Belhaj and his wife. Boudchar will be present in Parliament with her son Abderrahim.

A spokesperson for the Attorney General’s office confirmed that a statement on the Belhaj matter will happen. “There will be a statement [about Belhaj on Thursday],” the spokesperson said.

Belhaj, who is now a military commander in Libya, is expected to make a statement in Istanbul shortly afterwards. He won the right to sue the UK government and Jack Straw, who was the Foreign Secretary at the time and reportedly signed off on the kidnapping, in 2017.

Child ‘Victim’ Of Alleged Syrian Gas Attack Speaks Out, Says He Was Given Food To Make The Video

By John Vibes. The Free Thought Project

In the weeks since the alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma, Syria, evidence contradicting the official story continues to surface.

This week, journalists on the ground in Syria recorded interviews with some of the people who were there for the alleged attacks – people who actually appeared in the video that was shared widely by Syrian rebels associated with the White Helmets on April 7th, provoking attacks from the United States Military and its allies.

One of the most compelling interviews was with an 11-year-old boy named Hassan Diab who can be clearly matched with one of the victims in the video. Fortunately, the young boy is safe and in good health, and suffered no chemical attack symptoms, but he is surely traumatized and confused by what he experienced.

Hassan told Russian journalist Evgeny Poddubny that he was walking the streets with his mother in search of food, when one of the people that they encountered insisted that they go to the hospital.

“Somebody was shouting that we had to go to the hospital, so we went there. When I came in, some people grabbed me and started pouring water over my head,”  Hassan said.

Imagine being a young hungry child walking into a hospital expecting to find some food, only to be grabbed by strangers and soaked with water along with dozens of other children, all the while being surrounded with lights and cameras.

The boy was eventually found by his father, who said that he saw no evidence of a chemical attack.

“I didn’t hear anything about the chemical attack, I was outside but didn’t hear anything. I heard that my family was in the hospital. I went to the hospital, walked upstairs, and found my wife and children. I asked them what had happened, and they said people outside were shouting about some smell and told them to go to the hospital. At the hospital, they gave dates and cookies to the kids,” he said.

While it would be possible that a child walking the streets could get mixed up with actual victims in the midst of the chaos that takes place after this type of incident, even the doctors at the hospital that encountered these victims didn’t see evidence of a chemical attack.

One doctor told reporters that they saw victims who were hurt and killed in bombings that were regularly taking place in the city, but no trace of chemical agents.

“People from the White Helmets told us about the use of chemical weapons, but we saw no sign of that. If chemical weapons were used against those people, our medical staff would have also been affected, he said.

After the video was published on Thursday, Russia’s UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia told Rossiya 1 that Moscow is planning to show the video about Hassan at the next meeting of the UN Security Council.

Two other alleged witnesses say that they were working at the hospital during the time of the attack, and they also did not see evidence of chemical agents.

“We heard an explosion and someone said it was a chemical weapon, we ran to where the noise came from and started pouring water over the people, but they seemed to be ok and then walked away with any help,” one witness said.

“People got so confused, someone started pouring water over peoples heads saying there had been a chemical attack, I was at the spot with my wife and daughter but neither of us experienced any symptoms of chemical poisoning,” another said.

Hassan’s story is very similar to that of Omran Daqneesh, a Syrian boy reportedly pulled from the rubble of a bombed out building. Daqneesh’s image was broadcast around the world and used as a propaganda tool against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The truth was later revealed by The Free Thought Project and others that it is highly likely the opposition itself destroyed the very building in which Daqneesh was residing, then used his image to promote the myth that he was attacked by Syrian forces.

According to The New York Times, Mr. Daqneesh told the real story of what happened immediately following the bombing. He never supported the opposition and appeared on Syrian state-run media to proclaim his support for Assad. He described how the White Helmets used his son as a propaganda tool without his permission.

”They took Omran, got him to the ambulance, where they filmed him. It was against my will. I was still upstairs in the house,” Mr. Daqneesh said, adding that he was pressured, and even offered money to use his son as a pawn in propaganda against the Assad regime.

As we reported this week, even the western mainstream media is beginning to question the official story. World-renowned journalist Robert Fisk pointed out that there was no actual evidence for these attacks, aside from videos from the White Helmets, a group that is notorious for creating propaganda.

California SUV crash victim said her moms were 'racist': records

(Reuters) – A 16-year-old African-American girl told neighbors her white mothers were “racist” and that she was “whipped with belts” about six months before one of them is believed to have deliberately driven the family of eight off a California cliff, killing them all, Washington State records showed.

The girl’s 15-year-old brother also begged neighbors in March not to tell police his mothers were depriving the children of food as punishment because he feared the family would be split up, according to the records of allegations by the neighbors to the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

On March 26, Jennifer Hart, 38, is thought to have intentionally driven a sports utility vehicle carrying her partner Sarah and their six adopted black children off a California coastal cliff.

The Washington records show the mothers were under investigation for at least a third time in the last seven years for potential child abuse when they bolted from their Woodland, Washington State home on March 23.

One of the mothers was convicted in 2011 for assaulting a daughter in Minnesota, while in Oregon in 2013 police investigated allegations that the two women were emotionally abusing and cruelly punishing their children, according to West Linn police records.

“He said not to call the cops because they would be split up and he mentioned they go for long periods of time without food ‘and they are just hungry’,” a neighbor said Devonte Hart, 15, told him, according to the Washington records.

Hannah Hart, 16, fled the home one night and told the neighbors “the moms were racist and were abusing her” and that “she was being whipped with belts,” the records showed.

Neighbors Bruce and Dana DeKalb told local media they alerted social services to their concerns on March 23. Dana DeKalb said she could not immediately comment on Thursday.

Authorities visited the Hart home on March 23 but got no response. Soon after, the family emerged from the house, packed up their brown GMC Yukon and drove off, a witness said, according to the records.

They left behind a cat, chickens and what appeared to be chicks under a heat lamp, according to an investigator who called animal control, the records showed.

Among the last communication with the Harts may have been a text message mother Sarah Hart, 38, sent two days before the crash, telling a friend she was feeling sick and would not be at work, said a spokeswoman for Clark County Regional Emergency Services.

MSNBC Covers Black Police Shooting Victim 10-1 Over White Victim; CNN 2.5-1

As the dominant news media inform viewers of controversial police shooting cases in which there is debate about whether the officers acted lawfully, there has been a blatant double standard in spending substantially more time on victims who are black, even though blacks only make up a little more than one out of four suspects who are killed by police, with whites outnumbering blacks in the count by 2:1.

An examination of recent CNN, MSNBC, and FNC coverage of the aftermath of black shooting victim Stephon Clark in Sacramento, contrasted with the aftermath of white victim Justine Damond in Minneapolis from July 2017, finds that MSNBC has spent almost 10 times as much time on the Clark case while CNN has spent about 2.5 as much time.

FNC was closer to being balanced as it devoted about 22 percent more time to the aftermath of the Damond case, versus that of the Clark case.

Similarly, going back to the Philando Castile shooting from July 2016, when it was announced in November 2016 that charges would be pursued against the officer involved, CNN and MSNBC both updated viewers, with CNN providing more than 27 minutes worth of updates, while MSNBC gave it about 2 minutes 25 seconds.

But, when it was announced in March 2018 that charges would be pursued against the officer in the Damond case, CNN only provided a total of 56 seconds as the story was buried in two news briefs during the Early Start show, one of which aired on March 21 and the other on March 22, airing around 4:20 a.m. ET on both days. This means CNN actually devoted 29 times as much time to the charges in the Castile case in contrast with the Damond case — even though both cases raised serious questions about the behavior of the officer involved, and even happened in the same geographic area.

MSNBC did not update viewers on the Damond story at all. FNC did not run updates after charges were filed in either the Castile story from November 2016, or the Damond case in March 2018, as it awaited the final outcome of the Castile story before revisiting it.

An examination of MSNBC shows in recent weeks that run between 5:00 a.m. and midnight ET finds that the Clark story received just over 235 minutes, while the Damond case received almost 24 minutes in later part of July.

And on CNN, the shows that air between 4:00 a.m. and midnight ET gave stories about Clark, including the protests in Sacramento, just over 272 minutes in recent weeks, whereas the Damond story was given about 109 minutes in late July.

And, in the time period between 4:00 a.m. and midnight ET, FNC spent almost 70 minutes on Clark, and just over 85 minutes on Damond.

The dominant media’s disproportionate fixation on police shooting victims who are black creates the illusion that nearly all victims are black, and implicitly suggests widespread racism by police officers, even though statistics show that white suspects shot and killed by cops outnumber black suspects by about a 2-1 margin. According to the Washington Post, around 27 percent of police shooting victims are black, and, if one looks at FBI crime statistics from the past several years, including those compiled by the Obama administration Justice Department, the numbers are not wildly inconsistent with patterns of crime.

Such selective coverage has helped lead to public figures like CNN’s April Ryan and veteran singer Harry Belafonte wrongly claiming that police shooting victims are mostly black.

Any police shooting should be taken seriously by those who are responsible for making sure officers are acting appropriately, and cases where there is serious room for debate about whether deadly force was necessary, or whether unnecessary mistakes were made, are worthy of some level media attention. But it is also important not to make Americans of any race unreasonably fearful of police officers, or to incite demonization of law enforcement.

My Generation Fell Victim to PLAYBOY

23_Playboy July 1965 Magazine .jpg

Pornography as Social Engineering

At age 68, I am only starting to understand the harm

I did to myself by my youthful addiction to PLAYBOY.

It wasn’t called sex addiction then but it was.

PLAYBOY made me see women in terms of my sexual desire.

When you dehumanize them, you cannot relate to them in human terms.

Paradoxically you are less likely to succeed. Were the Illuminati responsible for

spreading this dysfunction?  Did they deliberately destabilize male-female

relationships by making us focus on appearance & sex, like homosexuals?

Part 1- PLAYBOY and the (Homo) Sexual Revolution

by Henry Makow Ph.D.

(Revised and updated from Nov. 2001.)

In the rearview mirror, it’s now clear porn is used as a form of political and spiritual seduction

I doubt if women were always seen as sex objects. They had to sexualize women. PLAYBOY undressed the “girl next door.”

PLAYBOY was presented as advanced thinking. But in retrospect, it was really social engineering.  With messianic fervor, Playboy took its message of sexual freedom to the American male who, in the 1950’s and 1960’s, still consecrated sex for marriage. But the freedom was illusory. Playboy’s aim was to undermine marriage and hook men on sex for its own sake.

To do this, they had to prevent them from finding true satisfaction in marriage. In Judith Reisman’s words, “Playboy was the first national magazine to exploit college men’s fears of women and family commitment. Playboy offered itself as a reliable, comforting substitute for monogamous heterosexual love.” (“Soft Porn Plays Hardball,” p 47)

At age 11 in 1961, magazine pictures of women showing cleavage or leg had a magical quality for me. Pretty soon, my friends were stealing PLAYBOY from newsstands. I was also tempted.

With some trepidation, I approached my father. In the spirit of the times, (“sex is natural, repression is bad”) he bought me a copy. Pretty soon I was a subscriber, in more ways than one.

My father’s decision vastly increased my trust and confidence in him. But sex became a religion in my imagination. Sex was something sacred that took place between angelic creatures in secluded garrets. The beautiful buxom centrefolds pasted on the inside of my closet doors filled me with near-religious awe.

PLAYBOY packaged this religion of sex. There was no interest in real women as flawed human beings. The subjects of love, marriage, children, and aging were ignored or disparaged. There was nothing about true masculinity and femininity. The religion of sex was curiously asexual.

Nevertheless, it took over my subconscious. My erotic dreams often involved PLAYBOY pictures. I can relate, albeit in milder terms, to porn addict “Mike” who wrote on this site that he prefers packaged porn to real sex.

Women who were not beautiful became invisible. I could not take them seriously. My first wife was plain looking. She had spoken to me twice before we became neighbors at the university library. I had absolutely no recollection.

The fixation on physical beauty was psychologically emasculating. How did I approach someone when I was mesmerized by their beauty? Attractive women remained mystical goddesses. I put them on a pedestal. I was too needy. I couldn’t see women as human beings inside a  shiny shell.

I lost touch with my masculine identity, my feelings, and critical faculties. I wanted love but didn’t know how to get it.

I was part of the (homo) sexual revolution, part of a generation of sexual fashion victims. Despite the example of my father, I didn’t grasp the eternal model of masculinity: A man leads and looks after the woman and children he loves.

Unconsciously, men and women are still looking for this kind of relationship. But with feminism, a lesbian philosophy teaching women to usurp the male role, both sexes are lost. I, for one, had no identity, goal, or motivation. I spent my time looking for them in social action and eastern religion.

I married the average looking woman because I was NOT obsessively attracted to her. I was tired of being ruled by my desire. She was a feminist with a career, allowing me to pursue my own interests. Eventually, inevitably, I hungered for more.

I fell in love with a beautiful insecure young woman who exploited my idealization by maintaining a facade. I divorced my wife and lived with this woman for six years. For a long time, she infatuated me. My love was totally giving, in the hope of securing her love. Mature love is demanding; she would have responded to that.

My book, A Long Way to Go for a Date chronicles my slow and painful emergence from immaturity and arrested development. I am now happily married because I belatedly discovered masculine identity

I missed the opportunity to have a normal family. I have only one son from my first marriage. The social engineers scored a victory with me, and countless other men like me.

In normal heterosexuality, sex is reserved for the courtship and procreation stage. With parenthood, sex becomes less important. Thanks to porn, we are being re-engineered to behave like homosexuals, to have anonymous sex, and to never marry or have children.

Instead of families, we have sex. Sex from cradle to grave with multiple partners. Sex. Everywhere you look. All the time. Like many homosexuals, we suffer from arrested development.

Marriage is not having to impress a new person constantly. People are actually looking for love, not sex. Sex is just a facsimile, a way of expressing love. It is empty if there is no love to express.

The habit of grading females in terms of sex appeal is hard to break. There is something exhilarating about a lithe beautiful woman in the prime of life. I rationalize that my DNA is clamoring for a new vehicle.  But I am too old to have a baby.

Maybe DNA is our real identity and our “life” are mere ripples on the waters of eternity.

Beauty is just skin deep. Women, like men, are ordinary human beings struggling for meaning and direction in our toxic culture.

Court Just Found Black Victim Of White Supremacist Assault Not Guilty Of… Assault

Anti-racist protester DeAndre Harris, who was brutally beaten by a group of white supremacists, had the assault charges filed against him dropped after a judge said on Friday the 20-year-old black man was defending himself.

On Aug. 12, a violent white nationalist rally took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left one person dead at the hands of an alleged white supremacist. Counterprotesters, including Harris, clashed with the white extremists during the “Unite the Right” event. Photos and video taken the day of the rally show a group of white men attacking Harris in the Market Street Parking Garage.

Harris suffered a concussion, a knee injury and a head laceration, among other injuries, during the assault.

Harold Crews, a lawyer and a neo-Confederate League of the South leader, filed a police report against Harris, alleging the 20-year-old hit him over the head with a flashlight while in the parking garage. Officers then arrested Harris in October on a felony assault charge, news that white nationalist cheered online.

But on Friday, Charlottesville General District Judge Robert Downer Jr. dismissed the charges against Harris, agreeing that the defendant acted in self-defense during the attack.

Intercept journalist Shaun King, along with other activists online, tracked down many of Harris’ alleged attackers that day. While Crews does not face any charges, Jacob Scott, Daniel Borden, Alex Michael Ramos and Tyler Watkins Davis were all identified as taking part in Harris’ assault. Their trials, with the exception of Davis, will take place in April, the Washington Post reports.

Alabama Rape Victim Committed Suicide After Being ‘Bullied’ By Police Protecting Wealthy Alleged Attacker

The family of an honors student who was, “mistreated by Tuscaloosa police, the university, and DCH Regional Medical Center” before committing suicide, will be suing the University of Alabama.

Megan Rondini, a 3.8 GPA student who had received a coveted spot in a special MBA program for high achievers in STEM fields, hanged herself in February 2016 after allegedly being raped by “one of the wealthiest men in Tuscaloosa,” according to a bombshell expose by Buzzfeed News.

“Megan couldn’t remember how she ended up in Sweet T’s white Mercedes on the way to his ornate mansion, decorated with his choicest hunting conquests, from massive-tusked elephant and wide-mouthed hippo heads to taxidermied lions and leopards,” Buzzfeed reported.

“Sweet T” allegedly referred to to T.J. Bunn, Jr. of the ST Bunn Construction family, who claim to have paved every street in Tuscaloosa.

“‘Was it consensual?’ Megan’s friend asked her when she picked her up that night, the friend told investigators. ‘Like, did you want to?’ No, Megan told her. She didn’t.”

“That’s why they went to the hospital for a forensic exam, even though it was the middle of the night and Megan had just run away from Sweet T’s mansion by climbing out of his second-story window. Afterward, instead of going to sleep, she met with law enforcement for an interview,” Buzzfeed reported. “Megan never imagined that she would soon be cast as a criminal, or that investigators would view Sweet T — really T.J. Bunn Jr., son of an influential Tuscaloosa family — as the true victim. But that’s exactly what happened.”

“Bunn has sandy brown hair, a boyish face, and a preppy wardrobe: The night he picked Megan up, he was wearing khakis and brown alligator shoes. He’s sometimes referred to as an ’employee’ of ST Bunn Construction, but it’s unclear what he does there,” Buzzfeed wrote. “A 2012 Tuscaloosa News profile published after former governor Bentley appointed Bunn to Alabama’s Conservation Advisory Board focuses on his many hunting accomplishments — he’s even killed the African ‘big five’ — but there’s not much other information about him available, other than records relating to a 2013 DUI arrest.”

Records show, “Bunn sued the director of the Alabama Department of Public Safety after his driving privileges were taken away, claiming he would ‘suffer irreparable harm’ if his license was suspended because he would be ‘unable to drive to work and will lose his job’ at his family’s company. Bunn got his license back.”

“Megan was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. Her loss is everyone’s loss. Title IX, the University of Alabama, the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s department and the overall judicial system in Tuscaloosa let her down on every level,” Birmingham lawyer Leroy Maxwell, Jr. — who represents the victim’s parents, told “Through litigation our firm is committed to doing everything in our power to shine a light on Tuscaloosa’s systemic problem with sexual assault.”

“Bunn insisted he and Megan had consensual sex. In a statement provided by his lawyer, Bunn reiterated that he was never charged with a crime and said it would be ‘improper to say anything further about a young woman, who was clearly troubled, that could cause pain for a family dealing with grief,’” Buzzfeed reported. “Under Alabama’s archaic rape law, victims must prove they ‘earnestly’ resisted their attackers, and the investigator who interviewed Megan quickly decided she hadn’t fought back against Bunn — she hadn’t ‘kicked him or hit him,’ he explained. His investigation would conclude that no rape occurred. But he didn’t stop there. Instead, he started building a case against Megan, questioning her for multiple crimes she wasn’t even aware she had committed.”

Buzzfeed learned that in Tuscaloosa, “only 10 cases out of 98 se-xual assault reports in 2016 were heard by a grand jury, and 12 out of 124 from 2015.”
