Is this really called freedom? Missouri finally passes law "allowing" black people to braid hair without requiring a 1500-hour cosmetology license

(Natural News)
African-style hair braiders who conduct business in the state of Missouri are rejoicing after the passage of new legislation that no longer forces them to undergo 1,500 hours of cosmetology training, a total of none of which has anything to do with learning how to braid hair.

The change comes after the Institute for Justice (IJ) filed a lawsuit against the Show Me State, arguing that it’s unfair to force African-style hair braiders to spend an average of $12,000 for tuition and many months worth of training that has nothing to do with their jobs. Instead, they will now simply have to pay a $20 extortion fee and watch a 4 to 6 hour instructional video, as well as submit to routine board inspections.

Many are calling it a major win for freedom, as those who practice the art of African-style hair braiding will now have a lot more time and money in their pockets to support their loved ones. The changes will also make it easier for new hair braiders to enter the business without having to wade through a litany of bureaucratic red tape.

“The new braiding license is a dramatic improvement from Missouri’s incredibly burdensome requirement that African-style braiders waste a thousand or more hours and spend tens of thousands of dollars to obtain a full cosmetology license, just to braid hair,” stated IJ’s Dan Alban, the lead attorney representing Missouri braiders.

“Rep. Shamed Dogan has been tireless in his commitment to pushing forward on braiding freedom bills over several years. Missouri’s natural hair braiders are extremely grateful that Rep. Dogan kept fighting for their right to earn a living and provide for their families, particularly after more than a decade of failed legislative reforms.”

Freedom means NOT having to jump through unnecessary bureaucratic hoops

At the same time, Missouri’s insistence that all African-style hair braiders still submit to a $20 licensing fee, as well as watch hours of instructional video that probably isn’t relevant to their duties, represents an infringement on their constitutional rights – at least that seems to be IJ’s view on the matter from a legal perspective.

The instructional video requirement is completely unnecessary, IJ insists. And the inspection requirements could further violate the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits unreasonable searches without cause. Both of these mandates show that Missouri isn’t about to give African-style hair braiders the full freedom that’s afforded to them under federal law.

“While it is good that the state of Missouri finally realized that the cosmetology license has nothing to do with braiding, we should remember that 25 states don’t require braiders to acquire a license at all,” points out Paul Avelar, a senior attorney at IJ and head of IJ’s Braiding Freedom Initiative.

“Missouri, like all states, should still consider whether government should license something as safe and common as braiding hair.”

IJ’s argument with regards to this issue – which applies to all other types of economic activity conducted by free Americans, by the way – hinges upon the constitutional right of citizens to engage in economic activity with the liberty afforded them by the Constitution. IJ has referred to the requirements as “needless” and “wasteful,” something that both the U.S. District Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals deny.

But the braiders are taking the matter all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in the hopes that it will make a different ruling. Should the Supreme Court decide that the requirements being imposed on the braiders are unconstitutional, it could set a precedent for people in many other professions who are similarly having their rights infringed upon.

DEMONS really are possessing people, warns psychiatrist, as pure evil sweeps over humanity

Image: DEMONS really are possessing people, warns psychiatrist, as pure evil sweeps over humanity

(Natural News)
An Ivy League-educated psychiatrist is convinced that there’s a growing epidemic of demonic possession in the world today, and that most everyday people now recognize the dark reality of this scary situation.

Dr. Richard Gallagher, who boasts degrees from both Princeton University and Yale University, says that, despite conflicting opinions within mainstream medical science, demonic possession is both real and rampant.

With 25 years of experience under his belt as a private psychiatrist that compliments his two teaching positions at both New York Medical College and Columbia University, Dr. Gallagher believes he holds a unique vantage point in discerning between human and non-human, or satanic, behavior.

He’s also a highly sought-after professional of such things in cases where a determination is being made about the possible need for an exorcism. Having evaluated hundreds of cases of possible demonic possession towards this end, Dr. Gallagher is certain that the phenomenon is legitimate and pressing.

He insinuated to The Telegraph (United Kingdom) during a recent interview that demons know full well how to trick human beings because they possess far more advanced cognitive faculties. They routinely use these mental “smarts” to control the humans they possess, causing many of them to commit atrocities and other evils against other people and lifeforms.

“They’re very, very smart,” Dr. Gallagher is quoted as saying about the beings that occupy the demonic realm. “The intelligence level of a fallen angel, which is what I call them, is far superior to human beings.”

Roman Catholic Church seeing huge uptick in cases of demonic possession

Dr. Gallagher’s sentiments align with other recent reports about rising demand for exorcisms in the Roman Catholic Church. The Vatican actually held a training course earlier this year to teach exorcist priests how to handle this influx of demon-possessed humans.

Pope Francis has also commented on the phenomenon, explaining to his followers that Satan is, indeed, “a real being” who’s “roaming the earth to devour souls like a lion.” He wrote back in April that people shouldn’t assume that the devil is just some myth, representation, symbol, figure of speech, or idea. Doing this causes people to let down their guard, he claims, making all of us “more vulnerable.”

Francis also says that priests “should not hesitate” to send people who are suffering from “genuine spiritual disturbances” to exorcists. The Rite of Exorcism, he says, is a “delicate and necessary ministry” that should be undertaken with “great care and great prudence.”

According to data from the United States, the number of priests trained in performing exorcisms has increased from a mere 12 about a decade ago to 50 – a more than 300 percent increase. This dramatic jump shouldn’t be ignored, says Dr. Gallagher, who while he’s not alone in his opinions is among a small few who are willing to talk about it professionally.

“There are many other psychiatrists and mental health care professionals who do what I do – perhaps not to the scope that I do – who seem hesitant to speak out,” Dr. Gallagher says. “That’s what gives my work some singularity. That I have had so much experience and that I am willing to speak out. I feel an obligation to speak out. I think that I should.”

At the same time, Dr. Gallagher warns that it’s important to determine without any doubt that a person actually has a real demon before recommending that he or she visit an exorcist.

“There is very strict criteria for determining the person’s problem,” he warns. “I am not just intuiting. I’m dealing with it from a very scientific point of view.”

Cutting edge physics experiment proves SCIENCE really doesn’t know what matter is made of… scientists baffled

Image: Cutting edge physics experiment proves SCIENCE really doesn’t know what matter is made of… scientists baffled

(Natural News)
Matter is made up of atoms, right? Not so fast; new research has shown that scientists may not fully understand everything quite yet. In the strongest evidence of particles called “sterile neutrinos” yet, two bold experiments stand to prove the existence of these logic-defying particles. The concept of sterile neutrinos has long baffled scientists, as these particles are able to pass through matter seamlessly with zero interaction — a feat once thought impossible.

As Live Science explains, sterile neutrinos defy virtually every aspect of modern science’s understanding of the universe, or what’s known as the “Standard Model” of physics. The Standard Model is essentially “a list of particles that, together, go a long way toward explaining how matter and energy interact in the cosmos.”

Proving the existence of sterile neutrinos would send shock waves across the scientific world. But, proof has been hard to come by — perhaps, until now.

Mysterious particles could change the face of modern science

The hunt for sterile neutrinos has been going on for decades, but these little particles have proven themselves to be quite elusive. At least, until now that a team from Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) has picked up the trace. In their follow-up experiment, dubbed MiniBooNE, the evidence is strong that even the most skeptical of physicists are taking notice.

The first hints of sterile neutrinos were seen in the 1990’s, back when an experiment at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico found something inexplicable. Known as the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector (LSND) experiment, scientists discovered evidence of a new, unusual particle capable of passing through matter without having any interaction with said matter.

This startling find proved difficult to replicate; other attempts failed to find traces of the new mystery particles, steril neutrinos. But, that hasn’t stopped anyone from trying — and the evidence recently detected at Fermilab could change everything we thought we knew.

Scientists across the country are already expressing their intrigue, especially if the results can be replicated. Kate Scholberg, a particle physicist at Duke University who was not involved with MiniBooNE, reportedly commented, “That would be huge; that’s beyond the standard model; that would require new particles … and an all-new analytical framework.”

The MiniBooNE experiment boasts a standard deviation measure of 4.8 sigma, which just a hair below the 5-sigma minimum physicists look to for accuracy (a 5-sigma result has 1-in-3.5-million odds of being the result of random variations in data). Combined with the LSND study, things would be favorable for sterile neutrinos — but many studies have sought to find proof of the elusive particle, and turned up empty. Skepticism of the latest findings is rampant, but there are many theories about what role sterile neutrinos play in our universe, nonetheless.

Are sterile neutrinos dark matter?

Dark matter has left experts scratching their heads for years, just like neutrinos, but another recent study has suggested that perhaps the two are tied together. Under the standard model of cosmology, it is posited that dark matter is cold, and that it makes up nearly 80 percent of matter across the universe. But, a recent study has shown that neutrinos — extremely light, fast-moving particles — may actually be what makes up dark matter (or at least some of it).

The concept of hot dark matter isn’t outside the realm of possibility, and as sources explain:

Neutrinos, which whizz around at extremely high velocities, are a good candidate for hot dark matter. In particular, they do not emit or absorb light – making them appear “dark”. It was long assumed that neutrinos, which come in three different species, don’t have mass. But experiments have demonstrated that they can change (oscillate) from one species to another. Importantly, scientists have shown that this changing requires them to have mass – making them a legitimate candidate for hot dark matter.

It seems that what neutrinos are and what their role in the universe is remains something of a mystery. Keep up with the latest research at Science.news.

Son Dies After Leaving Big Blue Stain On Carpet—14 Years Later, It Hits His Mom What It Really Means

It’s easy to get caught up in the frustration of daily life as a mom.

Cleaning Cheerios off the dashboard, wiping crayon marks off the walls, scrubbing ink stains off the carpet, and fishing that macaroni and cheese noodle jammed in the LEGO you just stepped on (double whammy) can ALL bring the burn of frustration to the forefront of our minds.

So one wouldn’t necessarily expect that an irremovable blue carpet stain would leave you crying happy tears, but 14 years after the death of Heather Duckworth’s son Jacob, that’s exactly what happened.

In a viral Facebook post entitled “The Blue Stain,” Heather gracefully forces us all into a posture of gratitude and appreciation for the things in life that really matter… and the ones that, well, just don’t.

Read her eye-opening message below, and be sure to have the Kleenex box handy while you’re at it:

THE BLUE STAIN

The other night I was scrubbing up some slime that my daughter had let ooze through her fingers and slip onto the floor. The slime craze is big in our house and it often leaves behind a sticky, gooey mess. My daughter had cleaned up most of it, but I was scrubbing the grout where the slime was stuck and I was starting to get slightly irritated with this mess. It felt like slime was everywhere! But then all of a sudden I remembered another time in my life when I was cleaning up a big mess many years ago and the memories came flooding back . . .

*******************************************************

14 years ago . . .

It was almost bedtime. We were so close. I was completely exhausted and was a hot mess by this time of night. Life was non-stop with our 2-year old triplets and their 4-year old brother. I had no time for myself and it had probably been at least four days since I had taken a shower. Every second of my day was tending to their needs, and although I was completely exhausted, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My hands were full, but so was my heart.

We had just finished the nightly ritual of dinner and baths and had gathered our crew of boys into the playroom to clean up for a few minutes before bedtime. We had some songs playing on the radio and everyone was singing and dancing and picking up their toys.

I was quickly putting toys away, anxious to get my crew in bed so that maybe I could have a few minutes to shower. When all of a sudden, I heard one of the boys say, “Uh, Oh.”

I turned just in time to see blue ink spraying all over the carpet as a pen exploded in the hand of one of my triplets. He squealed with delight as blue ink dripped from his hand and splattered his clean pajamas.

I gasped as I saw blue splatters across the floor and a thick pool of ink sinking into our carpet – our brand new carpet. I quickly yelled for my husband, who had been doing the dishes, to come and help me. I instantly felt so upset as I grabbed my son and took him to the bathroom to clean him up and my husband started scrubbing those bright blue stains on our carpet.

Tears of frustration stung my eyes. I was just so tired. And mad. Like really, really angry. I wasn’t mad at my son – who was as blue as a Smurf – but upset with myself for leaving that pen out where my toddler could reach it. We had only lived in this house for 6 months and now the carpet was completely ruined.

We scrubbed that stain for an hour that night, but yet it remained.

The next day, we had the carpet cleaners come out . . . and they treated it several times, but that stain didn’t even fade . . . it just glared back at me, bright and blue.

I was so disappointed every time I looked at that stain – it was just so ugly, a striking contrast against our tan carpet. And no matter what we did, that stubborn stain remained. That stain made me feel embarrassed and disappointed. It made me feel angry and it made me feel like such a failure for leaving out the pen where my young son could reach it. That blue stain was just a big fat negative in my life. I hated it.

The next month, my sweet son, the one who splattered blue ink all over our carpet was diagnosed with cancer. Two years later, he passed away.

My son was gone, but that blue ink stain? It was still there . . . and now . . . it was a constant reminder of my son. It was a constant reminder of my frustration over something so trivial . . . something so unimportant in the scheme of life.

That blue stain was a constant reminder that life is messy, but that’s what makes it worth living.

A constant reminder to not sweat the small stuff.

A constant reminder that “things” aren’t important, but people are.

A constant reminder that accidents happen.

A constant reminder to let go of the little things and hang on tight to what is important.

Over the years, that stain never did fade. It stayed bright blue on our tan carpet. We learned to hide it well under furniture, but every time I did some deep cleaning and moved the furniture, that stain would be there, staring back at me. It would take my breath away every time I saw it, reminding me of the pain of my loss.

And that stain that used to be such an eyesore and make me cry in frustration now just makes me thank God for these memories.

It reminds me that life is messy. There will be spills on the kitchen floor. Goldfish dropped all over the car. Windows broken with baseballs. Laundry overflowing the baskets and dishes filling the sink. Fingerprints on the glass doors and crayons all over the table. And there will be blue ink stains on your brand new carpet.

But those messes? They come from living and loving and growing and learning. They make me feel grateful. And they are a blessing in disguise.

And you know what?

I would have a million blue ink stains on my carpet if it meant I could have one more day with my son.

*******************************************************

I looked at that slime mess all over my floor and it reminded me of that blue stain. It humbled me greatly to realize that somewhere out there is a mother sitting next to her sick child in a hospital . . . wishing she was home cleaning up a mess that her child was healthy enough to make – just as I did all those years ago.

Fresh tears streamed down my cheek as I cleaned that slime with a new perspective – finding the bless in this mess – and thanking God for the whisper to keep my heart thankful and focused on what is important in life.

Colossians 3:2

xoxo

Do Ancient Sumerian Scribes Really Describe Extraterrestrial Contact?

  • The Facts:

The Chakra system has been spoken about and used to help treat people from several ancient traditions all the way up to the present day.

  • Reflect On:

Have you explored your chakra system? There are chakra meditation you can explore to not only tap into your chakras but to examine the energy at each point. Is it flowing free? Need clearing?

There are seven major chakras within the human body, running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The chakra system is often discussed in yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Buddhism, Hinduism, and other ancient practices. The Sanskrit word chakra literally translates to “wheel” or “circle.” Our chakras spin like wheels when we’re alive and healthy, allowing our vital life force energy, “Prana,” to flow throughout us.

When our chakras are working properly, often referred to as being in balance or aligned, they spin and allow energy to flow up the spine (or the Kundalini). However, our chakras can also become overactive, underactive, imbalanced, or even blocked, which can affect us both physically and emotionally.

The physical realm can affect our chakras and our chakras can affect our physical reality; they are meant to work in harmony together. For example, if one of your chakras is blocked, this can manifest into physical disease or pain in that area. Likewise, when we experience certain emotions, they can affect our chakras. When you’re feeling heartbroken after a breakup, for instance, this could affect your heart chakra.

When the chakras are balanced, we feel at our best and our bodies are in their healthiest state. Many people who are familiar with the chakra system can quite literally feel it, and can intuitively recognize when their specific chakras are imbalanced.

As a result, you have the power to balance your chakras yourself, which can be done through meditation, yoga, self-reflection, nutrition, energetic healing, crystals, or even just by being in a high vibration setting or taking a deeper look at your emotions. Healers can also help you balance your chakras, typically by helping you work through physical or emotional pain, but ultimately you can work toward accomplishing this yourself.

Our Seven Chakras and How to Balance Them

First Chakra: Root Chakra (Muladhara Chakra)

Where: Base of the spine. It encompasses the first three vertebrae, the bladder, and the colon.

Emotions/behaviours: The first chakra is associated with security, safety, survival instincts, basic needs (such as food, sleep, and shelter), and family. It’s also associated with our physical identities and our ability to stay grounded and present.

Physical signs of imbalance: Constipation, cramps, and any issues with the adrenal glands, spine, blood, bladder, and colon.

Signs of an overactive root chakra: Feeling greed, paranoia, and increased fear; obsessing over authority and power, material goods, or Earthly possessions and other elements of our identities.

Signs of an underactive root chakra: Feeling disconnected from nature and the Earth, daydreaming, lack of discipline, inability to focus on our everyday lives, disorganization, anxiety, and financial insecurity.

How to balance the root chakra: The colour associated with the root chakra is red, so any high vibrational foods with a naturally strong red pigment or grounding properties can help recharge your chakra (tomatoes, strawberries, beets, red apples, pomegranates, raspberries, and even protein). Crystals that are red such as red jasper, chanting “LAM,” going out into nature, using colour therapy with the colour red, meditating, practicing yoga, and addressing the physical and emotional signs of imbalance can all help to balance the root chakra.

Second Chakra: Sacral Chakra (Svhadhisthana Chakra)

Where: Slightly above the root chakra on the spine, around the reproductive organs. Above the pubic bone, but below the navel.

Emotions/behaviours: The sacral chakra is associated with creativity, sexuality, commitment, passion, expression, emotions, and sensitivity.

Physical signs of imbalance: Issues with menstruation or reproductive organs, lower back pain or stiffness, urinary issues, kidney pain or infection, and infertility.

Signs of an overactive sacral chakra: Sexual addiction and heightened emotions; being overly dramatic and creating strong emotional attachment to others.

Signs of an underactive sacral chakra: Low sex drive, inability to express emotions, insensitivity, difficulty manifesting desires, lack of desires, blocked creativity, emotional fatigue, and denying yourself pleasure.

How to balance the sacral chakra: The colour associated with the sacral chakra is orange, so any high vibe foods that have a deep or bright orange colour (mandarins, mangoes, carrots, squash, pumpkin, yams, seeds, nuts, and oils). You could also use orange crystals like carnelian, chant “VAM,” do creative tasks like painting/dance/any other art form, practice yoga, meditate, or address the physical and emotional signs of imbalance head on.

Third Chakra: Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura Chakra)

Where: Above the sacral, slightly above the navel but below the chest. It’s associated with the nervous system, digestive system (stomach and intestines), liver, pancreas, and metabolic systems.

Emotions/behaviours: The solar plexus is entirely related to our sense of Self, our personal power, our ability to separate the Ego from the Soul, and our self esteem.

Physical signs of imbalance: Poor digestion, weight problems, ulcers, diabetes, problems with the pancreas, liver, or kidneys, anorexia, bulimia, hepatitis, and other intestinal and colon issues.

Signs of an overactive solar plexus chakra: Finding faults in others (not realizing these are a reflection of your own feelings toward yourself), being obsessed with yourself and your own interests, caring more about yourself than others, being too critical, and being stubborn in your own beliefs.

Signs of an underactive solar plexus chakra: Insecure in your beliefs, feeling lost, lack of self awareness, anxiety, conformity, seeking approval from others, feeling self conscious, low self worth, lack of self confidence, and being dependent on others.

How to balance the solar plexus chakra: The colour associated with the solar plexus chakra is yellow; try eating high vibe foods that have a yellow colour and lighter protein options (bananas, corn on the cob, fresh pineapple, yellow peppers, lentils, yellow squash, and grains like oats). You could also use yellow crystals like citrine or try yoga, meditation, chanting “RAM,” or engaging in activities that allow you to truly understand who you are as a human being and as a soul (journaling, self reflection, confidence building exercises, etc.).

Fourth Chakra: Heart Chakra (Anahata Chakra)

Where: Centre of the chest, across from the heart. It’s associated with the heart, lungs, chest, breasts, arms, and hands.

Emotions/behaviours: The heart chakra represents our ability to love ourselves and others, to connect with other beings, and to express gratitude and joy.

Physical signs of imbalance: Heart or respiratory issues, poor circulation, and problems with the breasts (cancer, lumps, etc.).

Signs of an overactive heart chakra: Being overbearing and “too caring” toward others, placing your love for others over your love for yourself, conditional love, anger, grief, being manipulative, co-dependency, giving too much of yourself and not allowing yourself to receive, and acting like a “people pleaser.”

Signs of an underactive heart chakra: Negativity, feeling unloved, unappreciated, or like you’re “not worthy” or deserving of love, lack of self love, feeling disconnected from society and loved ones, and having difficult trusting or connecting with others.

How to balance the heart chakra: The colour associated with the heart chakra is green; you could try eating high vibrational foods that are deep green colours or are simply lighter weight foods like broccoli, kale, chard, and other leafy greens. You could also use green crystals like moss agate, meditate, practice yoga, try some “heart opening” exercises, practice self love (have some “me” time), and chant “YAM.”

Fifth Chakra: Throat Chakra (Vishuddha Chakra)

Where: The throat center. It’s associated with the thyroid gland, neck, throat, shoulders, ears, and mouth.

Emotions/behaviours: The throat chakra relates to our ability to express ourselves vocally and to speak our truth/peace, honesty. It also relates to our communication skills and our understanding of when it’s best to speak versus when we need to listen.

Physical signs of imbalance: Sore throat, issues with the throat like an infection or tonsillitis, thyroid problems, losing our voices, neck and shoulder pain, ear aches/infections, and teeth issues.

Signs of an overactive throat chakra: Speaking too much and not listening enough, and being over opinionated, verbally abusive, and “talking back.”

Signs of an underactive throat chakra: Inability to express ourselves vocally, feeling too scared to share our emotions with others, poor communication skills, giving mixed messages to others, and being misinterpreted/misunderstood.

How to balance the throat chakra: The colour related to the throat chakra is light blue, so try eating any high vibe foods with a light blue colour or super light foods (blueberries, figs, kelp, and pretty much all fruit). You could also practice public speaking or challenge yourself to express your emotions to others, practice honesty and your listening skills, meditate, do some yoga, use light blue crystals like turquoise and fluorite, and chant “HAM.”

Sixth Chakra: Third Eye Chakra (Ajna Chakra)

Where: The middle of your forehead, slightly above the eyebrows. It’s related to the pituitary gland, eyes, brows, and base of skull.

Emotions/behaviours: The third eye is associated with one’s ability to access their intuition, seek the truth, critically think, access wisdom, quiet the mind, trust their inner guidance, and see through illusions.

Physical signs of imbalance: Poor vision, headaches or migraines, pineal gland calcification, difficulty sleeping, seizures, and other sleep disorders.

Signs of an overactive third eye chakra: Frequent daydreaming, chronic stress, difficulty grounding yourself, feeling lightheaded, and overly intellectual thinking.

Signs of an underactive third eye chakra: Difficulty accessing intuition, meditating, or looking inwards/self-reflecting; experiencing a disconnect between your outer and inner realities; misunderstanding the spiritual realm (or lack of knowledge about our innate spiritual nature).

How to balance the third eye chakra: The colour related to the third eye is dark blue, so you could try consuming high vibe foods with a darker pigment (plums, purple grapes, eggplant, purple kale, purple carrots, or simply tea and other light, all-natural, plant-based beverages). You could also use dark blue crystals like blue onyx, meditate, engage in self reflection, rest the mind, decalcify your pineal gland, do some yoga, or chant “OM.”

Seventh Chakra: Crown Chakra (Sahasrara Chakra)

Where: Centre of the crown of the head. Associated with the pituitary and pineal glands, brain, hypothalamus, cerebral cortex, and central nervous system.

Emotions/behaviours: The crown chakra represents the connection the body, mind, and soul have to the Source of all creation. It also relates to enlightenment, living in the present moment, understanding universal truths (the soul and our connection to one another), and knowing and trusting your inner Self.

Physical signs of imbalance: Dizziness, confusion, mental fog, neurological disorders, exhaustion, nerve pain, schizophrenia or other mental disorders.

Signs of an overactive crown chakra: Difficulty grounding yourself, focusing too much on the inner realm and not enough on Earth, having a “God complex,” or feeling superior or “more enlightened” than others (ie. having a “spiritual ego”).

Signs of an underactive crown chakra: Feeling disconnected from who you truly are, feeling like you constantly need to “soul search,” difficulty accepting our spiritual nature, lacking self awareness, difficulty meditating, and blaming “God” or others for your own actions or life circumstances.

How to balance the crown chakra: The colours associated with the crown chakra are dark purple, violet, and white, so you could try eating extremely light foods such as mushrooms, garlic, ginger, onion, lychee, coconut, and other tropical fruits. It is said that once enlightenment is obtained, one can live off only the elements. As a result, fasting can be a wonderful way to recharge your crown chakra. Spending time in nature, being in direct sunlight, meditating, practicing yoga, chanting “OM” or “AH,” and drinking water can all benefit the crown chakra.

What Does Science Say About Chakras?

Below are the results from a case study done by Dr. Pradeep B. Deshpande, a professor emeritus at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisville, which had over 100 participants in attendance.  Please keep in mind that clinical studies of more than 10,000 patient cases with various health challenges have also been well documented in Russia.

The aligned Chakras indicate that the subject was calm, relaxed, and nourished from their participation in the case study, which involved information on meditation, breathing practices, love, kindness, and intention. You can also observe a smoothing of the energy field before and after the case study workshop. Results like these were consistent with a number of volunteers.

According to Dr. Deshpande:

Each individual sector or portion of the fingertip is connected energetically with specific organs and organ systems such as the respiratory system. When the data of the 10 individual BIO-grams are collated and interpolated, an image of the entire full body energy field is created. An example of the full body energy field from a healthy and unhealthy/emotionally unbalanced individual are shown in Figure 3. The gaps and the reduced emissions and out-of-balance Chakras for the unhealthy individual are quite obvious.

Our chakras have a direct impact on our health, our emotions, and our physical reality, and vice versa. Many people and healers who have recognized this use this knowledge to further understand the health of our bodies and our minds. Even Harvard has studied the physical effects that meditation can have on the brain and the gut, and meditation is a practice that’s literally designed to balance all of our chakras.

Louise Hay is a well-known author who discusses the emotional causes of cancer in her book You Can Heal Your Life. A cancer survivor herself, she cured her disease in only six months using a combination of affirmations, visualization, nutritional cleansing, and psychotherapy. According to Hay, cancer is simply the manifestation of deep hurt, secrets, longstanding resentment, grief and/or hatred.

Radiation oncologist Dr. Carl Simonton and his wife Stephanie Matthews-Simonton, a psychologist, wrote the book Getting Well Again: A Step-by-Step Self-Help Guide to Overcoming Cancer for Patients and Their Families. The book explores how people can affect their disease process through healing their emotions, and one of the recommended ways to do so is through meditation.
