Portland: 27-Yr old Anti-Trump anarchist given light sentence despite serious vandalism caught on video

anarchists Portland

John Barton Elliott was one of 25 anarchists arrested for a variety of crimes during an anti-Trump protest in Portland Oregon.

Some of the crimes committed were more serious than others. Elliott’s crime was very serious and could have harmed a lot of people. Unfortunately, the justice system in Portland just sent a message to future anarchists that it’s okay to threaten the lives of police officers and do serious damage to public property with the ridiculous sentence they handed down to 27-year old anarchist, John Barton Elliott.

Oregon Live:

A 27-year-old man who investigators said bashed in car windshields, shattered a window and an ATM at two Pearl District banks, then threw a burning flare into a Portland police car during anti-Trump and May Day protests was sentenced this week to three years of probation.

John Barton Elliott was caught on video in some of these acts on Nov. 10, 2016, two days after Donald Trump was elected president. The vandalism included joining others in swinging baseball bats or sticks at the cars at Broadway Toyota on the east end of the Broadway Bridge, shattering the window of Chase Bank and smashing an ATM screen at Umpqua Bank in the Pearl District, investigators said.

Police weren’t able to identify Elliott until May 1, 2017, when he showed up to May Day protests in downtown Portland and joined at least one other man in throwing lighted flares later found in the back of a heavily vandalized police SUV parked near Southwest 10th Avenue and Morrison Street.

Here’s the video showing Elliott throwing the flare into the back of the Portland Police vehicle:

Elliott was arrested, and police used his distinctive eyeglasses and bike messenger bag to link him to the Nov. 10 crimes.

Elliott worked as a bike messenger, had attended four years of college and had no previous criminal history except for a misdemeanor shoplifting conviction in 2016.

*25 people (including three minors) were arrested and charged (mostly) with second-degree disorderly conduct. The three minors were arrested for riot, according to police, and released to their parents.

Anti-Christian antifa communist hit by car in Portland

Home » Communism, Justice, North America, Protests, Religion, Videos » Anti-Christian antifa communist hit by car in Portland

Maybe this was a sign from God? Or maybe not, who knows… but the communist protester did run towards the car without looking left & right so the driver should be perfectly clear but who knows after all in America, the land of Lucifer, everything abnormal is possible while everything normal is impossible…

So, a counter-protest in Portland staged against an event called ‘March for Jesus’ did not end well for one participant, who was hit by a pickup truck while running across the road.

The march was organized by a group called Patriot Prayer, led by a supporter of US President Donald Trump. Three activists who said they were part of the Antifa movement showed up to denounce the marchers as white supremacist trying to impose a religious worldview on America. The antifas advocated the “virtues” of communism through a megaphone.

Perhaps these people should be forcefully airdropped into North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba and enjoy the virtues of communism there.

The counter-protest, however, ended badly for one of the participants, who ran across the road and was hit by a pickup truck. The incident apparently resulted in a broken hip for the unlucky activist.

[WATCH] ICE Agents Arrest Man After Entering Portland Home Without Warrant

A video shared over 5,000 times on Facebook shows self-identified, plainclothes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents entering a Portland home and arresting a man, without getting permission to enter and without a warrant.

ICE later released the man, Carlos Bolanos.

George Cardenas, a coworker and friend of Bolanos, filmed the interaction with ICE officers, which he said began around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the downtown Portland area.

When the agents, dressed in street clothes, came to the door, Cardenas said Friday, they did not tell him who they were.

“All they asked was if I worked for my company and I said yes,” Cardenas said over Facebook Messenger. “Then they said, ‘Is Carlos here?’”

Cardenas said he asked them who they were and why they needed to speak with Bolanos, but the agents refused to answer his questions and then entered the home.

After they walked in without permission, Cardenas said, “They said were the police but they didn’t want to give me their names.”

That’s when Cardenas started filming.

In the video of the interaction, a man in a green and black jacket and baseball cap demands to see Bolanos’ identification, saying, “Why? I have reason to believe you are not in the country legally.”

Cardenas asks the man if Bolanos is being charged with something and the man says yes, but that he can’t tell Cardenas what that is, he can only tell Bolanos.

When Cardenas tells the agent that without a charge, there is no reason for them to be in the house, the agent responds quickly, with something unintelligible that ends in “the United States of America.”

“OK,” says Cardenas. “Do you guys have a warrant to come in this home?”

[WATCH] Portland Police Put Hoods, Headphones On Activists for “Protection” From Power Tools. There Were No Power Tools.

The Portland Police Bureau put hoods over the faces and headphones on the ears of a group of activists linked together before they arrested them. The activists had been blocking the gate to the ICE building in SW Portland yesterday afternoon, protesting deportations under the Trump administration.

Police used hoods and headphones on the protesters, the bureau says, so the activists wouldn’t get hit with sparks or get ear damage from the loud noises emanating from the power tools used to remove them from the “sleeping dragon” device connecting the five people.

But the police never used any power tools. There were no sparks that could have hit their faces. There were no loud noises that could have damaged their ears. The so-called “sleeping dragon” in this case—per police, it was made of a plastic pipe, yarn, fabric, chicken wire, bolts, and chains—only required the use of small, non-electric cutters. In short: the hoods and headphones were for “protection” from tools that the PPB did not once use.

In a statement this morning, as they said to us last night, bureau says it was for their protection. They also say now the hoods and headphones strategy “also prevents the proestors (sic) from intentionally causing themselves injury during the removal and/or falsely claiming injury to halt the cutting.” If they can’t see or hear what’s going on, the theory goes, they can’t stop the cutting or try to hurt themselves.

There were five protesters linked together blocking the gate to the ICE building, with four “sleeping dragon” devices linking them together. As police worked on separating and arresting them, they put the hoods and headphones on two protesters at a time—the ones on either side of of the device. When they were freed from the device and cuffed, the cops took the hoods and headphones off and hauled them to the back of the van. The federal cops didn’t arrest the final two people in the chain because ICE employees and a GEO prison transportation bus were able to leave using the driveway once the first three were gone.

Portland Installs Turbines In Their City Water Pipes, Powers City By Flushing Toilets

By Ian Crossland via Minds

The turbines work where water is flowing downhill, and are already recouping some of the energy cost in keeping the water system running.  When fully in place, these pipe generators can power hundreds of thousands of homes.

Gregg Semler, CEO of Lucid Energy, followed his dream of “helping water become more sustainable” by developing this smart piping system.  Not only are they electricity generators, they also have state of the art sensors to detect change in water pressure to keep pipes from bursting, and the ability to detect if drinking water is contaminated.
