BREAKING: US Intel Officials Just Admitted US Bombed Syria with No Proof of Sarin Attack

syriasyria

Over the weekend, the United States led a coordinated attack—along with French and British forces—on the sovereign country of Syria. The attack consisted of hundreds of missiles which were recorded hitting civilian targets and also reportedly struck a cancer research facility. And now, we are learning that all of it was based on an alleged use of sarin gas for which they had no evidence.

According to a report from CNN today, US intelligence agencies have admitted that they were not certain the Assad regime had used the nerve agent sarin against civilians—but launched the massive attack anyway.

Officials merely claimed that they were confident Assad did use chemical weapons and that was enough for the attack.

According to CNN, the lack of complete information played a role in deciding not to strike a larger set of targets including airfields, aircraft and helicopters, one defense official said. Others factors, like Russian positioning, also played a role in the decisions.

After the strikes Friday night, the French and British governments also released the supposed evidence they had to justify the act of war carried out by allied nations in Syria. The reports admitted to not having any actual intelligence and the “evidence” was based on “open source” information widely available on the internet.

These open source accounts were little more than videos and testimonies from groups such as the White Helmets—who have been known to create fake videos, support terrorists, and much more.

On Tuesday, it was also reported that Secretary of Defense James Mattis attempted to take the constitutional approach to war by seeking Congressional approval before the strike, but he was overruled because that would take too much time, not allow for an actual investigation, and allow for time to the US to be proven wrong about their claims.

As the NY Times reported, Mattis urged President Trump to get congressional approval before the United States launched airstrikes against Syria last week, but was overruled by Mr. Trump, who wanted a rapid and dramatic response, military and administration officials said.

Instead of investigating the alleged attack or following the constitution, the US government engaged in an act of war against a sovereign country—and they did so based entirely on a hunch.

As CNN notes, the reality was that prior to the US strike, full confirmation could not be made of whether Syria had used sarin in its attack.

“It’s a hard, long process, especially in an attack like this without physical access to victims, site. Therefore we had to work with closest allies quickly to ensure we had confidence in the intelligence picture, enabling policymakers to choose best course of action,” an intelligence official told CNN.

The Trump administration determined a “standard of evidence had been met,” the official said.

What’s more, western journalists, who are actually on the ground investigating the attack, have reported that no such chemical strike happened and the widely circulated video was something entirely different.

As TFTP reported, critically acclaimed war reporter Robert Fisk published a stunning account of the alleged chemical attack in the Damascus suburb of Douma on April 7, which included testimony from a doctor who works at the hospital featured in the widely circulated video purported to be the aftermath of a Syrian government chemical strike.

In an exclusive first-hand report for the Independent, Fisk, who has twice won the British Press Awards’ Journalist of the Year prize and is a seven-time winner of the British Press Awards’ Foreign Correspondent of the Year, reported:

This is the story of a town called Douma, a ravaged, stinking place of smashed apartment blocks–and of an underground clinic whose images of suffering allowed three of the Western world’s most powerful nations to bomb Syria last week. There’s even a friendly doctor in a green coat who, when I track him down in the very same clinic, cheerfully tells me that the “gas” videotape which horrified the world– despite all the doubters–is perfectly genuine.

War stories, however, have a habit of growing darker. For the same 58-year old senior Syrian doctor then adds something profoundly uncomfortable: the patients, he says, were overcome not by gas but by oxygen starvation in the rubbish-filled tunnels and basements in which they lived, on a night of wind and heavy shelling that stirred up a dust storm.

Additionally, a report from Douma, Syria, by One America’s Pearson Sharp, confirmed Fisk’s reporting, noting that residents there deny an attack happened and instead claim it was staged by rebel forces in an effort to precipitate a response from western forces.

US Officials Signal Further US-Led Aggression in Syria Coming

US Officials Signal Further US-Led Aggression in Syria Coming

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Reuters cited four unnamed US officials saying last week’s US, UK, French strikes on Syrian targets failed to eliminate its ability to launch CW attacks.

The news agency failed to explain no Syrian CW capability exists, its entire arsenal destroyed in 2014.

No evidence suggests its military retains any of these weapons, or ever used them during the conflict – used repeatedly by US-supported terrorists throughout years of war, most often falsely blamed on Assad.

Last Saturday, Trump declared “mission accomplished” following overnight Friday US-led aggression on Syrian targets.

A Pentagon after-action report said “(l)ast night’s operations were successful. We met all of our objectives. We hit all of our targets successfully.”

Syrian air defenses destroyed two-thirds of launched missiles in flight. The US, UK, French aggression had nothing to do with targeting Syrian chemical weapons facilities.

None exist. Syrian military facilities were the primary targets, left largely unscathed by the aggression.

Defense Secretary Mattis lied saying the strikes “demonstrate(ed) international resolve to prevent chemical weapons from being used on anyone under any circumstances in contravention of international law.”

Speaking to Reuters anonymously, US officials lied claiming Assad retains CWs and precursors in schools and residential buildings.

A White House National Security Council spokesman lied, saying the joint US, UK, French strikes were to hold Syria accountable, degrade its CW capabilities, and prevent future toxic agent attacks, “while minimizing civilian casualties,” an objective Washington never gives a hoot about, massacring civilians in all its wars of aggression.

Syria has no CW capabilities. No evidence suggests otherwise. Remarks Reuters cited from four unnamed US officials suggests last week’s aggression was prelude for much more to come.

Washington seeks regime change. It wants Syria’s military capabilities weakened – the failed objective of last week’s mission.

Failure virtually assures more US-led aggression coming, perhaps another CW false flag used as a pretext.

Russia remained passive last week, failing to challenge US-led strikes on Syrian targets.

Much depends on what it does if further aggression is coming – a near certainty given mission failure last week and Washington’s rage to topple Assad.

Cruel and unusual? Oklahoma officials want to use nitrogen gas for executions

Image: Cruel and unusual? Oklahoma officials want to use nitrogen gas for executions

(Natural News)
After months of being denied the drugs needed for lethal injections, the state of Oklahoma will turn to nitrogen gas instead. This will make it the first U.S. state to carry out the death penalty through this method.

The announcement was made at a news conference by Oklahoma State Attorney General Mike Hunter and Corrections Director Joe Allbaugh. Speaking before reporters, Hunter said that everything was still in the preliminary stage as there are no known execution protocols on nitrogen gas usage. Once finalized, however, the primary method of execution would be nitrogen hypoxia, or asphyxiation by breathing in physiologically inert gases.

An odorless and colorless gas, nitrogen makes up a massive portion of the air breathed in by humans. Nitrogen becomes extremely dangerous on its own. According to LiveScience.com, pure nitrogen kills by displacing oxygen in the lungs. This, in turn, can lead to unconsciousness in the span of one or two breaths. Within five minutes, brain cells will begin to die off due to oxygen deprivation, and death can follow soon after.

Nitrogen hypoxia most often applied to self-administered and assisted suicide by way of a suicide bag. Also known as an exit bag, this euthanasia device consists of a plastic bag and a drawcord. “Nitrogen hypoxia has been studied as a means of suicide and as it relates to pilots for decades and its benefits are it’s not a complicated medical procedure, nor does it require pharmaceuticals that might be restricted in supply,” Michael Copeland, assistant professor of criminology at East Central University in Ada, explained to OklahomaWatch.org.

The promise of a rapid demise is what prompted Oklahoma legislators to endorse nitrogen gas inhalation as the backup execution method in 2015. This occurred as a result of the state waiting for the U.S. Supreme Court’s rulings on how they performed lethal injections.

“I believe in justice for victims and their families, and in capital punishment as appropriate for dealing with those who commit these crimes. Using an inert gas will be effective, simple to administer, easy to obtain and requires no complex medical procedures,” said Hunter.

Currently, there is no set date for these executions. No execution protocols regarding nitrogen hypoxia exist, meaning that state officials have only recently undertaken developing them. Though, as per Allbaugh, delivery of nitrogen gas will most likely be through a mask. Furthermore, the lawsuit filed by death row inmates stipulates that no execution date will be settled upon until 150 days after the protocol has been developed, which in itself is expected to take about 90 days at the least.

Will history repeat itself?

Response to the announcement has been swift. Dale Baich, an attorney for 20 of Oklahoma’s death row inmates, has criticized the move, stating: “Instead of following the recommendations of the Oklahoma Death (Penalty) Review Commission, the attorney general and Department of Corrections took a different course by adopting this new method of execution.

“Oklahoma is once again asking its citizens to trust its officials as they learn on the job through a new execution procedure and method. How can we trust Oklahoma to get this right when the state has the recent history that reveals a culture of carelessness and mistakes?”

In the last five years, Oklahoma has gained a small level of infamy after the occurrence of two high-profile, botched executions. The first was Clayton Lockett’s execution in 2014. Lockett, who had been convicted of kidnapping, murder, and rape, was injected with a combination of midazolam, vecuronium bromide, and potassium chloride. Though declared unconscious at first, Lockett began to struggle after three minutes and continued to do so for over 40 minutes before finally succumbing to a heart attack. (Related: Ohio slowly executes man with agonizing experimental lethal injection that almost didn’t work.)

The second was Charles Warner’s execution in 2015. Warner, who was charged with the rape and murder of an 11-month-old girl in 1997, was given potassium acetate instead of potassium chloride. His entire execution lasted a lengthy 18 minutes. While Warner was said to have showed no signs of distress, his last words before dying were: “My body is on fire.”

Oklahoma has not carried out any executions since Warner’s death.

Florida Wildlife Officials Are ‘Solving’ The Iguana Crisis By Smashing In Their Skulls

By  Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

Did you know? Florida has an iguana problem. Over the past ten years, the population of the lizard, native to Mexico and Central America, has absolutely exploded. To solve the overpopulation crisis, wildlife officials in Florida have begun to smash in the heads of the iguanas. The method is part of a $63,000 research project to devise new and effective ways to keep the iguana population under control.

The herbivorous lizards were introduced to the state as pets. But over time, they escaped and took made the Sunshine State their own. As Gizmodo reports, the iguanas are often spotted munching on plants and flowers in residents’ gardens. The iguanas can also damage sidewalks and seawalls with their burrows. As a result, the reptile is no longer considered to be a pet, but a pest.

According to the Sun Sentinal, conservationists from the University of Florida claim that the smashing in of the iguanas’ heads is a quick and “humane” form of euthanasia. The article reads:

“A 15-member team from the University of Florida is using a tool called a captive bolt gun that sends a bolt into the brain, similar to what is used in the livestock industry. They’re also smashing the creatures’ heads against solid objects, including a truck and boat they’re using to track them down.

‘Most of what we’re doing is blunt force trauma,’ said Jenny Ketterlin, a wildlife biologist and research coordinator with UF. ‘Hitting their head very hard against a solid object.’

Destroying their brains quickly is the most humane way to kill them, she said. Decapitating the animals without anesthesia would kill them but not be considered humane.”

In three months, the team has killed approximately 250 iguanas along a canal in Davie, Florida. Ketterlin says the head-bashing method falls within the bounds of the state’s animal cruelty laws.

Kids Injured as School Cop Shoots Gun in a Class—Officials Cover It Up, Wounded Kid Blows Whistle

schoolschool

Alexandria, Va – This Tuesday morning, a teacher who also serves as a reserve police officer accidentally fired his gun at a school in Seaside, California, while instructing a class on firearms safety.

Three students were injured, and one was hospitalized, but the school did not report the incident, nor did they notify the parents or seek medical help for the injured children. The most badly injured of the three went home to his father covered in blood with a serious wound, and bullet fragments lodged into his neck

According to Seaside Police Cheif Abdul Pridgen, officer Dennis Alexander was pointing the gun at the ceiling when he accidentally fired, sending bullet fragments to ricochet across the classroom. The school resumed classes as normal and later told reporters that the students had minor injuries, but one father disagrees.

Fermin Gonzales, the father of the 17-year-old boy who was hospitalized, said that the school never notified parents about the incident.

“He’s shaken up, but he’s going to be OK. I’m just pretty upset that no one told us anything and we had to call the police ourselves to report it,” Gonzales told KSBW.

“It’s the craziest thing. It could have been very bad,” Gonzales added.

According to Seaside Superintendent PK Diffenbaugh, this was not an authorized course.

“I think a lot of questions on parents’ minds are, why a teacher would be pointing a loaded firearm at the ceiling in front of students. Clearly in this incident protocols were not followed,” Diffenbaugh said.

Seaside High School is a gun free zone, but exceptions are made for members of law enforcement.

The mainstream media is complicit in the attempted coverup of this issue, with many outlets overlooking the fact that this teacher was a police officer. Instead, they are using this as an opportunity to point out that guns are dangerous.

It is obvious that guns are dangerous, and that is why they should be handled with care, but cases like this illustrate that police officers are no more safe with guns than the average person. Therefore, it makes no sense to suggest that police should be the only ones allowed with guns.

Meanwhile, on the same day, on the other side of the country, in Alexandria, Virginia, another school resource officer accidentally fired his gun while inside his office at George Washington Middle School. According to the Alexandria Police Department, the officer was sitting down while it was discharged, and that no one was hurt. They would not say whether or not the gun was in the holster, but if the gun was fired, it is safe to assume that it was not in the holster.

Contrary to how the rest of the media is reporting these incidents guns do not simply “go off” by themselves. With modern handguns, this is not possible.

“I just think it was an accident that happened, and we’re going to investigate it and find out, and we’re going to move forward,” Capt. D.C. Hayes told NBC.

Imagine if another adult or child who is not a cop did the same thing. The school would be on lock down, helicopters would be swarming the air and the person who fired the shot—”accidentally” or not—would be taken out with extreme prejudice. Instead, this is just written off with very little media coverage because the “gunman” was a public servant.

The Captain would not say if there were any students nearby, only that no students were injured and that classes continued as normal after it was determined that everyone was safe.

It is important to reiterate that in both of these cases the issue was swept under the rug because the guns were fired by police. In every other case where there is even a possible sighting of a gun, schools are locked down, parents are called, and classes are canceled.

It is also important to point out the convenient timing of guns being accidentally fired in schools as America debates putting guns in schools. Since the debate began, there have been several instances of guns being fired “accidentally” in schools across America.

WATCH: Wisconsin Officials Release Dashcam Footage of Tony Robinson Shooting

Disturbing footage of a white Madison police officer fatally shooting a 19-year-old unarmed biracial man has been released by the Wisconsin department of justice, following the announcement on Tuesday that no criminal charges would be pursued in the case of Tony Robinson.

Dashcam footage shot from police officer Matt Kenny’s patrol car on 6 March shows Kenny entering the second-floor apartment that Tony Robinson shared with two friends. The officer enters alone and with his hands on his firearm. Within roughly 18 seconds, shots are fired and Kenny exits the building in a backwards motion.

According to Kenny’s account of the incident, he opened fire after being punched once by Robinson near the top of the stairs and falling into a wall. Kenny was not wearing a body camera during the incident and the dashcam only shows events outside the apartment.

Kenny told investigators he “did not know how he got to the bottom of the stairs”, according to an account delivered by Dane County district attorney Ismael Ozanne on Tuesday.

The officer described hearing “incoherent yelling and screaming” inside the apartment, after 911 calls were made claiming Robinson had assaulted people on the street and was running in and out of traffic. Robinson had retreated to the apartment and was there alone when Kenny arrived. The officer had been informed the teenager was probably unarmed and intoxicated.

The footage shows Kenny firing a single shot from outside the apartment. Investigators determined that seven shots were fired, all at close range, during the encounter.

Robinson’s feet appear at the bottom of the stairwell almost as soon as Kenny stumbles out. They appear motionless.

“Stop right there! Don’t move!” Kenny shouts.

Almost instantly, two other police officers run into shot. Kenny shouts “there’s somebody upstairs, there’s somebody upstairs”. One of the officers steps over Robinson’s body into the apartment building and shouts “MPD”. One of the officers radios for an ambulance.

Kenny told investigators that he rendered aid after determining Robinson had no weapon, but the dashcam video cuts just as Kenny is seen putting on gloves with another officer seen crouched over his body shining a flashlight. It is unclear if Robinson is already dead at this point.

The 19-year-old’s death sparked days of protest in Madison. Ozanne announced on Tuesday that Kenny would face no charges as the “tragic and unfortunate event was the result of a lawful use of deadly police force”.

The Wisconsin attorney general has also released a number of investigative files produced in relation to the case, which were handed to Ozanne before the decision not to prosecute was made.

On Tuesday hundreds gathered in front of the building where Robinson was shot, to protest Ozanne’s decision not to bring charges against Kenny.

Addressing the crowd of roughly 300 people, 18-year-old JT Ruffin, an African American senior at Sun Prairie high school, said Ozanne’s decision was expected.

“I knew he wasn’t going to get indicted, but seeing all you people out here … I can tell that Madison is ready for a change,” Ruffin said. “I don’t see people out here who are going to loot. I don’t see people here who are going to riot. I see people who are ready for a change. Madison is going to be the change for this movement.”

The protest was organized by the city’s Young, Gifted and Black (YGB) coalition, which formed in the wake of the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, and has been pressing for policy changes in the city. Protesters marched from Robinson’s apartment building to the country courthouse, where they held a people’s trial of Kenny, and proceeded to mock the city jail.

One of the YGB’s members, M Adams, said: “If Matt Kenny doesn’t go to jail, no one should go to jail.”

The group echoed previous demands for the UN to step in, saying the investigation into Robinson’s death was not independent. YGB lead organizer Brandi Grayson specified that the group’s goal is not simply to establish a community review board for the police department. “We need power to hire and fire. To determine, to set priorities, to set policies, and to say what kind of police model we want in our communities.”

Officers from the Madison Police Department, the Wisconsin State Police and the Dane County Sheriff’s office began removing protesters from the intersection of Doty and Carroll Streets starting around 3:00 pm, several hours after the action began. Officer Dexheimer, Public information officer for the Madison Police Department, spoke with the Guardian in a phone interview.

“Command post had made a decision that with rush hour coming up, it was time to clear the intersection.” A block from the state’s capitol, Dexheimer described the corner that protesters had occupied as “a major artery.” “

“An announcement was made that it was an unlawful assembly, and it just becamse a matter of public safety and moving traffic through there. On a week day, there’s tons and tons of traffic thorugh there. It seemed reasonable to have given it that much time.”

Police said 28 people were arrested. Many of these were performing civil disobedience and offered no resistance as far as this reporter could see. Officers removed protesters who stood shoulder to shoulder or sat side by side in the street. One of those arrested was a woman who is eight months pregnant who had previously been blocking one of the entrances to the jail.

As those chained together in front of one entrance were released, M Adams said the action had met the group’s goals. “We were successful in stopping anyone from going into jail for three hours and fifty minutes.” She also offered her thoughts on the police response. “I think it’s a terrible idea that the police are supposed to be here to stop people from demonstrating their rights. If they want to be helpful to us, they should stop systems and power structures from being violent towards out communities.”

More Israeli Officials with Ties to Tel Aviv PM Netanyahu Arrested

New legal problems for embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have erupted less that a week after police in the Middle Eastern nation recommended that the leader be indicted on charges of corruption.

Seven members of Netanyahu’s closest cabal were arrested Sunday in the deepening ‘Case 4000′ corruption probe into Netanyahu and his innermost circle of cronies.

The most recent arrests follow what investigators say were interventions by the suspects with telecommunications regulators in the country to fastrack permissions for communications giant Bezeq in exchange for a media reputation whitewash of Netanyahu and his wife, Sara.

Case 4000 has not yet directly named Netanyahu as a suspect although several news outlets have reported that he will be questioned by investigators ‘under caution,’ a phrase used to describe defendants in criminal cases, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The seven Netanyahu associates arrested have not yet been named, although prior to the imposition of a quickly-leveraged gag order surrounding the investigation, Haaretz was reporting that they included Netanyahu close friend Nir Hefetz, a former communications director for the Israeli prime minister, and associate Shlomo Filber, a former Communications Ministry director general.

On Tuesday February 15, investigators unveiled recommendations to the attorney general that Netanyahu be charged with fraud, breach of trust and bribery in two cases not related to Case 4000. Both of the additional cases accuse the Israeli prime minister of using his influence and power to provide favorable deals to those close to him.

Netanyahu, in Germany over the weekend at the annual Munich Security Conference, appeared unconcerned about the mounting evidence that threatens to remove him from office, stating only his opinion that the deepening investigations are a “contrived bubble that will burst.”

The recommendation by Israeli police to charge Netanyahu is the result of a year’s worth of work. The findings were presented to Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Tuesday, who has the final say on whether the prime minister will be indicted.

Meir Sheetrit, a former minister with Likud, Netanyahu’s political party, stated that the prime minister will “keep on acting as if everything is normal as long as he can,” cited by Latimes.

“But we know what direction this is going in: political defeat,” Sheetrit asserted, adding that Netanyahu’s dismissal of the evidence “is untenable in the long term.”

“Netanyahu and the Likud are disconnected from the people, floating along in a world in which their corruption doesn’t matter,” he said.
