(Natural News)
Around two million Americans suffer from schizophrenia, and it’s a frustrating chronic mental illness that is marked with disabling symptoms like delusions and hallucinations. Unfortunately, the antipsychotic medications that are often given to address these problems come with their own set of risks. Now, scientists have discovered that certain nutrients could help to fight the illness safely, potentially paving the way for more effective treatments without side effects.

Researchers from the University of Manchester looked at data taken from eight different clinical studies examining nutrient supplementation in hundreds of young people during the early stage of psychotic illness. They found that supplements like the amino acid taurine and vitamin C could help alleviate the condition if taken early. They believe it works because it can address the oxidative stress that occurs when the body is unable to process oxygen normally.

Shellfish like clams, shrimp and scallops are excellent sources of taurine, with raw shrimp containing nearly 50 milligrams per ounce of taurine. However, it’s important to keep in mind that it is destroyed in cooking. Other fish that offer taurine include tuna, sardines, and salmon. Taurine can also be found in foods like Brussels sprout, seaweed and beef. A clinical trial in Melbourne involving 121 people with psychosis revealed that 4 grams of taurine a day could reduce psychotic symptoms in just 12 weeks. Past studies have shown that it can protect organs from injury or oxidative stress, and it can be particularly beneficial to heart health.

Vitamin C, which has also been shown to reduce symptoms, can be found in a wide variety of foods. Some of the best sources include red pepper, kiwi, guava, oranges, strawberries, pineapple and papaya.

Alternative treatments showing increasing promise in fighting schizophrenia

Past studies, meanwhile, have shown that folate and vitamin B12 can both help alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia in some patients. Folate, which can be found in folic acid supplements, plays a vital role in the DNA methylation that regulates gene expression; B12 increases its effects. This particular finding built on earlier studies linking a folate deficiency during pregnancy with a higher risk of schizophrenia among offspring and other research linking low blood folate levels with more severe negative symptoms in schizophrenic patients.

Another recent study found that holistic therapy that includes one-on-one talk therapy and intense family support yielded better results than the drug regimen typically prescribed for the illness.

These latest findings from the University of Manchester are not quite conclusive, but they do point to some areas that are worthy of further investigation. Next, the team would like to combine these beneficial nutrients into one supplement and see if it has any effect on young people who are suffering from psychosis. A study is expected to get underway this year investigating this approach.

Schizophrenia is a disabling disease, and the last thing sufferers need is to deal with the side effects caused by anti-psychotic drugs, which can include tremors, emotional numbness, serious weight gain, nausea and vomiting. Most patients abandon these drugs less than two years after starting them, so the prospect of supplements and other holistic treatments that can make a difference could be a game-changer.

Boost your body’s regenerative potential with these healing foods and nutrients

Image: Boost your body’s regenerative potential with these healing foods and nutrients

(Natural News) Whether you’re in the pink of health or suffering from medical conditions, it’s best to read up on these foods and nutrients that can help regenerate body tissues.

When we’re healthy, the body’s default state is that of ceaseless regeneration. However, when we’re sick, regenerative processes are overcome by degenerative ones. During times like this, medicine can help the body regain balance through foods, herbs, and nutrients. But drug-based medicine often uses chemicals that do not have any regenerative potential. They might even disrupt the body’s ability to self-renew to suppress the symptoms that they are supposed to address. (Related: Will scientists soon be able to regrow organs and injured tissue in patients?)

Here are six bodily tissues and the natural ways that can help your body initiate the regeneration process:

  1. Beta cell regeneration — Medical experts are still looking into the “diabetes-reversing potential” of natural compounds. Despite the funding that goes into “stem cell therapies, islet cell transplants, and an array of synthetic drugs in the developmental pipeline,” the cure for type-one diabetes could be right in our backyards or kitchens. In theory, the restoration of beta cells can help diabetics eliminate the need for insulin replacement. These compounds have experimentally helped reconstruct beta-cells that produce insulin and are destroyed in patients with diabetes: arginine, avocado, berberine (found in bitter herbs like goldenseal and barberry), bitter melon, chard, corn silk, curcumin, Gymenna Sylvestre/miracle fruit (“the sugar destroyer”), Nigella Sativa/fennel flower (“black cumin”), stevia, sulforaphane (which can be found in broccoli sprouts), and vitamin D.
  2. Cardiac cell regeneration — Various studies have proven that cardiac tissue can also regenerate. Researchers have even discovered a class of heart-tissue regenerating compounds called neocardiogenic substances. These substances help form cardiac progenitor cells, which turn into healthy heart tissue. Neocardiogenic substances include N-acetyl-cysteine, Geum Japonicum/Asian herb bennet, red wine extract, resveratrol, and Siberian ginseng/eleuthero root.
  3. Cartilage/joint/spine regeneration — Both curcumin and resveratrol can help improve recovery from spinal cord injury. Meanwhile, baicalin, Boswellia serrata, and curcumin extract are some of the potentially regenerative substances that can help address degenerative joint disease (i.e. osteoarthritis).
  4. Hormone regeneration — Vitamin C is one substance that can help manage hormone levels. The vitamin can contribute electrons to revive the form and function of estradiol/estrogen; E2), progesterone, and testosterone. If combined with foods that can help support the function of glands (e.g. the ovaries), vitamin C can soon replace or at least be an alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
  5. Nerve regeneration — A study from 2010, which was published in the journal Rejuvenation Research, revealed that combining blueberry, carnosine, and green tea produces neuritogenic (or promoting neuronal regeneration) and stem-cell regenerative effects in an animal model of neurodegenerative disease. Other researched neuritogenic substances include apigenin (a compound in vegetables like celery), ashwagandha, coffee (which contains trigonelline), curcumin, ginseng, huperzine, lion’s mane, mushroom, natto, red sage, resveratrol, royal jelly, and theanine. Remyelinating compounds, another class of nerve-healing substances, can help stimulate the restoration of the protective sheath around myelin (the axon of the neurons), which is usually damaged because of neurological injury and/or dysfunction, such as autoimmune and vaccine-induced demyelination disorders. Even therapeutic actions, such as listening to music or falling in love, can help improve your health and well-being. This proves that regenerative medicine does not always require the intake of food or drugs and that it can also incorporate various therapeutic actions.
  6. Liver regeneration — A compound in licorice called glycyrrhizin can help stimulate the regeneration of liver mass and function in the animal model of hepatectomy. Other substances that can stimulate liver regeneration include carvacrol (a compound found in oregano), curcumin, Korean ginseng, rooibos, and vitamin E.

Further study into regenerative medicine, along with cultivating attitudes, lifestyles, and proper diets that can boost bodily regeneration, will help us to attain bodily freedom that could soon lead to “the liberation of the human soul and spirit.”

You already know superfoods are full of nutrients – but do you know how to prepare those foods for maximum nutrient bioavailability?

Image: You already know superfoods are full of nutrients – but do you know how to prepare those foods for maximum nutrient bioavailability?

(Natural News)
A group of scientists from Zhejiang University in China has determined “the healthiest way to eat broccoli.”

The cruciferous vegetable is full of sulforaphane, a compound that can help maintain blood sugar levels. Studies even show that it might have anti-cancer properties. However, once broccoli is cooked for several minutes, the benefits of sulforaphane are destroyed.

To absorb the compound, broccoli must be “damaged” before they can be absorbed.

The study suggests chopping the vegetable into 2-millimeter (mm) pieces. The chopped broccoli must then “sit” for 90 minutes before it is gently stir-fried to boost their sulforaphane levels by 2.8 times.

While the reason for the boost remains unclear, the researchers believe that waiting before cooking chopped broccoli lets the sulforaphane “develop.” Waiting for 90 minutes before stir-frying the vegetable seems like a fair trade, especially since it isn’t as easy to absorb sulforaphane when it is taken as a supplement.

How the study was carried out

Researchers from the university bought several heads of broccoli from a local market. The produce was then chopped to activate the enzyme myrosinase, which plants use to protect themselves against herbivores. With the enzyme, sulforaphane becomes available for absorption.

The chopped broccoli was then divided into three piles. The first was left as it was, the second pile was immediately stir-fried for four minutes, and the remainder was cooked quickly over high heat after letting it sit for 90 minutes.

If you don’t want to wait that long, the researchers also suggest that waiting for only 30 minutes can also maximize sulforaphane absorption. However, this hasn’t been tested in the study. The researchers are also looking into how they can “make the most of the vegetable’s nutritional benefits without having to do so much preparation.”

In a separate study published in October 2017, it was determined that consuming broccoli daily can help prevent various health concerns from arthritis to heart disease. Scientists believe that this is possible since the vegetable helps keep the gut healthy. (Related: Broccoli: A Natural Way to Build Immunity.)

The researchers explained that cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and kale contain a substance that promotes gut health and barrier function. They added that “maintaining a healthy intestinal lining could prevent leaky gut syndrome,” which leaves the body vulnerable to toxins and pathogens.

Professor Gary Perdew, the lead author from Penn State University, said, “There are a lot of reasons we want to explore helping with gastrointestinal health and one reason is if you have problems, like a leaky gut, and start to suffer inflammation, that may then lead to other conditions, like arthritis and heart disease.”

Other ways to cook superfoods to boost their nutrient content

Now that you know how to properly cook broccoli to boost its sulforaphane levels, follow these tips to boost the nutritional benefits of other superfoods:

  • Red, orange, yellow, and some green vegetables – Bell peppers, butternut squash, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes are full of carotenoids, powerful antioxidants vital for eye and immune health. Carotenoids “become more absorbable in our bodies when heated.” Cooking also releases lycopene, a cancer-fighting antioxidant, in tomatoes. Saute the vegetables over medium-high heat until tender, but note that cooking time will vary depending on the size. Cook them in an oil that won’t break down at high temperatures like algae, soybean, peanut, and sesame oils.
  • Leafy green vegetables – Includes kale, spinach, mustard greens, collard greens, and Swiss chard. These raw, leafy greens are full of oxalic acid, an organic compound that prevents the body from absorbing the healthy calcium and iron they provide. Cooking will help break down oxalic acid so the body can benefit from these nutrients. Steam leafy greens for 10 minutes over boiling water until they wilt.
  • Purple vegetables – Includes red cabbage, beets, eggplant, and red onions. Purple vegetables contain phytochemicals called anthocyanins which are anti-inflammatory and can help lower the risk of heart disease and cancer. Roast or stir-fry these vegetables.

Avocado PITS found to be a "goldmine" of nutrition, with powerful nutrients that prevent disease

Image: Avocado PITS found to be a “goldmine” of nutrition, with powerful nutrients that prevent disease

(Natural News)
A recent study showed that the husk of an avocado seed is the healthiest part of the fruit as it contains a vast number of key nutrients that show potential in alleviating cancer, heart disease, and other diseases.

As part of the study, a team of researchers at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley ground about 300 dried avocado seed husks into 21 ounces of powder. The powder produced three teaspoons of seed husk oil and slightly more than an ounce of seed husk wax following an additional process.

The experts were able to identify 116 compounds in the oil and 16 in the wax. Among the oil’s components included heptacosane, a compound known to mitigate tumor cell growth. The team also found that the oil contained dodecanoic acid, which helped increase good cholesterol levels and reduced the risk of atherosclerosis, heart attacks and, strokes.

Likewise, the scientists detected traces of docosanol in the husk oil. The compound is the primary ingredient in manufacturing antiviral drugs for the treatment of cold sores or fever blisters. The experts also noted that the wax contained a vast number of compounds such as butylated hydroxytoluene, an antioxidant food additive and preservative commonly used in cosmetics.

Researchers said they will alter several of the natural compounds found in the husk to develop better drugs with fewer side effects.

“It could very well be that avocado seed husks, which most people consider as the waste of wastes, are actually the gem of gems because the medicinal compounds within them could eventually be used to treat cancer, heart disease and other conditions. Our results also suggest that the seed husks are a potential source of chemicals used in plastics and other industrial products,” researcher Dr. Debasish Bandyopadhyay told the Daily Mail online.

The results were presented at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Washington, D.C.

Potential implications in cancer, heart disease management

The recent findings may very well show potential in addressing and preventing the onset of cancer and heart disease, both of which remain to be the leading causes of death worldwide.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains to be the leading cause of death around the world, killing more people than any other causes. Data from a WHO fact sheet revealed that CVD accounted for nearly 18 million global deaths in 2015 alone. This rate equated to 31 percent of all deaths worldwide.

The fact sheet also showed that 7.4 million of these deaths were associated with coronary heart disease, while 6.7 million were due to stroke. More than three quarters of all CVD-related deaths around the world occurred in low- and middle-income countries.

Heart disease can be mitigated by addressing risk factors such as tobacco and alcohol use, unhealthy diet, obesity, and lack of exercise.

In another WHO fact sheet, cancer was recognized as the second leading cause of morbidity and mortality across the globe. According to the fact sheet, about 14 million new cancer cases were recorded in 2012 alone. Data also revealed that the number of cancer cases worldwide is expected to increase by about 70 percent over the next two decades. (Related: Global cancer rates to skyrocket by 70% over next 20 years as conventional medicine fails.)

Cancer accounted for 8.8 million global deaths in 2015. The fact sheet also noted that the disease was responsible for nearly one in six deaths around the world. Data also showed that 70 percent of cancer-related deaths across the globe occurred in low- and middle-income countries.

Tobacco use remained the leading cause of cancer, followed by disease-causing infections such as hepatitis and the human papilloma virus.

Green tea nutrients found to successfully treat scars when used in a cream

Image: Green tea nutrients found to successfully treat scars when used in a cream

(Natural News)
It’s time to go green — and spread all that loving goodness on your skin. A new study conducted by the University of Manchester found that cream infused with green tea extract significantly reduced the appearance and thickness of newly formed scars. The topical agent, which contained the tea compound epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), was already shown to be effective for old, keloid scars. This new study suggests that a cream infused with EGCG can be used to treat recent injuries. These results, while still in their initial stages, could have profound implications with how medical treatment and management plans are designed.

Scars are formed when the skin is injured and there is an overproduction of collagen which forms scar tissues. As these tissues heal, they release histamin which causes the injured area to become red and itchy. Most everyone knows not to scratch the inflamed area, as further damage to the area can deepen the scar. However, researchers of this study indicated that EGCG disrupted the skin’s natural response, effectively soothing the area and making the scar appear less red and thick and making the area less itchy.

Green tea helps skin heal

This small study is just one of the numerous studies which prove the health benefits of green tea — especially its efficacy in skin cell rejuvenation. A 2003 study by the Medical College of Georgia found that polyphenols found in green tea eliminated free radicals in the body while safeguarding healthy cells. The most abundant polyphenol in green tea — the same EGCG mentioned earlier — was noted to reactivate dying cells. Dr. Stephen Hsu, the lead author of this study wrote that, “cells that migrate toward the surface of the skin normally live about 28 days, and by day 20, they basically sit on the upper layer of the skin getting ready to die. But EGCG reactivates them. I was so surprised.”

Dr. Hsu and his team also noted that EGCG somehow manipulated basic cell behavior, so that instead of cells dying normally, they reverted back to the dividing stage. Somehow — their team was unable to establish the exact mechanisms involved — EGCG reacted with cell DNA to make them produce more energy. The most obvious result of this interaction is an improved skin condition. This not only has aesthetic value, but practical purposes as well. Dr. Hsu reasoned that if skin healed faster, the injured area would be less at risk of getting infected.

“If skin cells surrounding wounds or infections don’t heal in time, fibroblasts in the connective tissue may rush in to fill the void and cause scar tissue formation,” Dr. Hsu said. “If we can spur the skin cells to differentiate and proliferate, we can potentially accelerate the wound-healing process and prevent scarring.”

Likewise, another study in 2013, published in the International Journal of Surgery concluded that green tea extract dramatically improved the healing process of surgical wounds in rats. Green tea extract was compared to other plant-based derivatives such as  grape seed, lemon, rosemary, and jojoba. While all of these extracts improved wound healing, green tea extract, with its high concentrations of EGCG, proved to be the most effective.

Green tea extract is not limited to severe skin lesions, however. The alternative treatment can be used to reduce the appearance of pimples, nodules, and cysts found in body. Dermatologists are now recommending EGCG-infused products to their patients to reduce the swelling and scarring of acne. Accordingly, these natural treatments are more easily accepted by the body, producing fewer side effects. For the best results, medical professionals recommend both ingesting the compound and topically applying a green tea-infused cream to the affected area. Strawberry nutrients found to prevent dementia and age-related cognitive decline

Image: Strawberry nutrients found to prevent dementia and age-related cognitive decline

(Natural News)
An animal study published online in the Journals of Gerontology Series A revealed that eating strawberries may well prevent memory decline and subsequent onset of Alzheimer’s disease. To carry out the study, a team of researchers from the Cellular Neurobiology Laboratory at the Salk Institute examined a strain of laboratory mice that were genetically modified to develop premature aging and Alzheimer’s disease. This strain was found to exhibit physical and cognitive decline in as early as 10 months, something that normal mice do not show.

The research team also assessed the effects of fisetin, a compound found in strawberries, on the cognitive status of the animal models. One group of three-month-old prematurely-aging mice were given daily fisetin doses with their food for seven months, while another group received the same food but without the compound. The animals models were then subjected to a variety of activity and memory tests. In addition, the experts studied the levels of specific proteins in the animals. These proteins were associated with inflammation, brain function, and stress response.

“At 10 months, the differences between these two groups were striking. Mice not treated with fisetin had difficulties with all the cognitive tests as well as elevated markers of stress and inflammation. Brain cells called astrocytes and microglia, which are normally anti-inflammatory, were now driving rampant inflammation. Mice treated with fisetin, on the other hand, were not noticeably different in behavior, cognitive ability or inflammatory markers at 10 months than a group of untreated 3-month-old mice with the same condition,”  lead researcher Dr. Pamela Maher told Sci-News.com.

“Mice are not people, of course. But there are enough similarities that we think fisetin warrants a closer look, not only for potentially treating sporadic AD but also for reducing some of the cognitive effects associated with aging, generally…Based on our ongoing work, we think fisetin might be helpful as a preventative for many age-associated neurodegenerative diseases, not just AD, and we’d like to encourage more rigorous study of it,” Dr. Maher added.

Previous studies confirm that strawberries are beneficial to brain health

The recent findings were reflective of previous research linking the strawberry compound to reduced odds of Alzheimer’s disease. A 2015 study carried out by researchers at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies showed that fisetin was beneficial in maintaining the cognitive health of animals predisposed to AD. As part of the study, the research team pooled two groups of genetically predisposed mice and divided them into two groups. One group was given a fisetin-enriched diet, while the other served as the control group. (Related: Strawberry nutrient protects against Alzheimer’s, study finds.)

The experts found that the control group exhibited difficulties in basic memory function. In contrast, those who were given a fisetin-enriched diet performed just as well as mice that were otherwise not predisposed to the disease. The compound was also notably effective in warding off the disease, even if it would have been continuously progressing, a researcher said.

On the other hand, a 2012 study revealed that eating strawberries may help prevent memory decline in human subjects. To carry out the study, a team of researchers at the Harvard Medical School examined nearly 122,000 registered nurses aged 30 to 55 years. According to the researchers, the participants who ate two servings of strawberries per week were able to delay memory decline by more than two years, compared with those who did not eat the berries.

Health expert Dr. Holly Phillips said the flavonoids in strawberries greatly contributed to the fruit’s brain-boosting properties. The doctor noted that stress and inflammation are major risk factors for cognitive decline, and that flavonoids contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help counter these adverse effects.

Food nutrients in apples and grapes found to halt the systemic inflammation that causes cancer

Image: Food nutrients in apples and grapes found to halt the systemic inflammation that causes cancer

(Natural News)
On the surface, you might think inflammation isn’t such a big deal. It might not sound like a walk in the park, but it doesn’t sound like a death sentence, either. Unfortunately, however, chronic inflammation due to autoimmune disease, infection or even obesity damages your cells, thereby raising your cancer risk. That’s why inflammation within the body is something that you want to avoid at all costs.

Inflammation can be caused by eating foods like refined sugar, charred food, pesticides, processed foods, GMOs, and food additives, in addition to environmental toxins like mercury and electromagnetic radiation. While it’s best to avoid these foods as much as possible, there are ways to reduce their influence on the body and help reduce your cancer risk.

Just as eating the wrong foods might have gotten you into some trouble with inflammation, consuming the right ones can turn things around for you. Scientists have found that certain food chemicals can help minimize the inflammation that can lead to cancer, and two of these compounds have been making headlines recently for their ability to starve prostate cancer when combined with turmeric: red grapes and apples.

Keeping the doctor away

The magic of apples is found in the peel in the form of a compound called ursolic acid. In addition to being a potent anti-inflammatory, it has also been linked to weight loss and improvements in metabolic dysfunction. It does this by increasing brown fat, which is known for its calorie-burning ability. It also prevents obesity-related fatty liver disease.

If you want to increase your intake of ursolic acid, you need to consume apples with their skin intact. When eating whole fruit, it is absolutely vital that you eat organic so that you do not consume inflammation-inducing pesticides. In addition to apple peels, ursolic acid can also be found in rosemary.

Meanwhile, red grapes get their inflammation-fighting ability from resveratrol. This compound has long been known to promote health and longevity thanks to its ability to suppress inflammation and its antioxidant properties. This compound is the reason that red wine has often been praised for having many health benefits. Like apples, this beneficial compound is found in the skin, so resist the urge to peel your grapes before you eat them. You should also be sure to opt for organic varieties.

In one study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, researchers found that resveratrol can produce a selective action targeting malignant cells to be destroyed without harming healthy cells. In addition, resveratrol plays a role in insulin resistance and reducing oxidative stress.

Therefore, it should not be too surprising that these two powerhouse compounds were the stars of a groundbreaking recent study that discovered the combined effect of ursolic acid from apple peels and resveratrol from red grapes can stop prostate cancer cells from taking up glutamine, which is something that they need to survive. Best of all, the nutrients are readily available and inhibited tumor growth in mice without being toxic to normal cells.

This promising new research could be excellent news for those with prostate cancer who are hoping to avoid the dangers of chemotherapy, and it highlights the importance of eating healthy fruits to prevent disease. Moreover, it could inspire researchers to take a look at many of the other plant compounds growing on our planet to explore safe treatments and preventive measures for many of the illnesses facing modern society.

Progressives STUNNED to learn that all medicinal nutrients in herbs and plants are made out of carbon dioxide

Image: Progressives STUNNED to learn that all medicinal nutrients in herbs and plants are made out of carbon dioxide

(Natural News)
Plants play a vital role in making the Earth a habitable, and healthy place. Plants provide food, clean air, clothing, and medicine. Unfortunately, left-wing “environmentalist” and pseudoscientists are on a mission to destroy it all.

Plants are natural air purifiers, providing the clean air all animals, humans included, need for their survival. As it turns out there is one feared molecule, CO2 or carbon dioxide, that is the driving factor behind all the plant goodness we enjoy every day. From the air we breathe and the food we eat to the plant medicines we use to address our ailments, CO2 is essential to all life on Earth.

Without it, there would be no life. Surprised to hear that? If the answer is YES, then you have been brainwashed by the mainstream media, fake scientists, government, and the so-called environmentalists that are on a mission to make this world a better, greener, CO2-free place.

At present, there is a huge debate going on about people’s impact on the planet. If we choose to believe the narrative of climate alarmists such as Al Gore, Bill Nye, Neil Tyson, and Elon Musk, then rising human-induced CO2 levels are destroying planet Earth. Though CO2 is the “greening” molecule for all plant life, they all call this vitally important molecule a “pollutant.”

While they repeatedly claim CO2 to be a “death” molecule for the planet, we at Natural News call it “The Miracle Molecule of Life.” For more information, watch this new mini-documentary by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and Founder of Natural News. You’ll quickly learn that you have been lied to all along.

CO2 is plant food, creating life and medicine all around us

Though climate change fanatics assert the cause is settled, the science surrounding climate change and global warming is far from settled. Setting the first federal limit on carbon pollution, President Obama’s Clean Power Plan was a hallmark of the president’s climate legacy, which has now come to an end.

Public statements on climate and energy can be very frustrating for anyone who understands basic science. Every real scientist will tell you carbon dioxide is essential for plant respiration via photosynthesis. Without CO2, they, and we, would suffocate in a matter of minutes.

Furthermore, plants use CO2 to create THC, vitamin C, and anti-cancer nutrients such as curcumin and cannabinoids. Nearly every medicinal molecule that’s loved by herbalists, natural medicine practitioners, and medical cannabis advocates is created fromCO2.

As noted by Mike Adams, there are 21 carbon atoms found in one single cannabidiol or curcumin molecule. Where do you think plants get these carbon atoms to synthesize or manufacture these healing compounds? They get if from atmospheric carbon dioxide.

Yes, this is the very same molecule delusional climate change fanatics are trying to eliminate from this world because it is a pollutant.

“The entire world of natural medicine owes its very basis to CO2. This is why every herbalist, naturopath and medicinal arts practitioner should be in favor of carbon dioxide. Without this molecule, they would all be out of business (and dead, technically, since all life on the planet would collapse), ” he wrote.

Though many people still see CO2 as a pollutant, the tide is finally turning thanks to CO2 advocates, like Mike Adams, that are revealing the truth. According to Mike, every person who argues that carbon dioxide is bad for the planet is a “scientifically illiterate moron.”

Mike said: “These are often the very same people drinking green juice smoothies who don’t even know that plants are green precisely because chlorophyll harnesses carbon dioxide and sunlight to create plant energy. If any molecule is a ‘green’ molecule on our planet, it’s CO2!”

If they were to take a high school science test, they would all get an F grade because they simply fail to understand which molecules are involved, and vital, in photosynthesis, one of the most important processes sustaining all plant life, Mike explained.

Grape seed extract found to contain powerful nutrients that prevent tooth decay

Image: Grape seed extract found to contain powerful nutrients that prevent tooth decay

(Natural News)
Grape seed extracts can promote teeth durability and stave off tooth decay, a recent study in the Journal of Dental Research revealed. According to a team of researchers at the University of Illinois at the Chicago College of Dentistry, natural compounds found in grape seed extracts fortify the teeth’s dentin. Dentin is the dental tissue beneath enamel, which is mostly made of collagen. The researchers also noted that grape seed extracts may increase the life span of dental fillings.

Dental fillings can be made up of amalgam or composite resin. Researchers said dental amalgams are usually made of a combination of heavy metals such as mercury, silver, tin, or other materials. Dental amalgams are known for their low cost and long life span of 10 to 15 years or higher. On the other hand, composite-resin fillings are more aesthetically-designed, as the plastic and fine glass particles allow dentists to use filling colors that match the patients’ teeth. However, composite fillings last only five to seven years.

A federal report found that more than 90 percent of adults aged 20 to 64 have cavities. In order to address cavities, dentists take out the decay or dental caries using a drill and plug it up with a filling. According to researchers, resins need to bind with the dentin during the filling process. The researchers noted that the area between the teeth and the resin, called interface, remained a weak point that often led to the breakdown of teeth restorations. The health experts said that secondary caries and margin breakdown were the top causes of failed adhesive restorations. In addition, the research team noted that adhesive interface breakdown remained a major hurdle despite major advances in dental restorative materials. (Related: Strengthen your teeth the natural through these dietary choices)

“When fillings fail, decay forms around it and the seal is lost. We want to reinforce the interface, which will make the resin bond better to the dentin. The interface can be changed through the use of new natural materials…The stability of the interface is key for the durability of such adhesive joints, and hence, the life of the restoration and minimizing tooth loss,” researcher Ana Bedran-Russo said in DailyMail.co.uk.

The recent study found that a combination of grape seed extracts and plant-based oligomeric proanthocyanidins prompted damaged collagen to repair itself. According to Bedran-Russo, interlocking the resin and collagen-rich dentin offered better adhesion and did not rely on moisture.

The study was funded by National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.

Oral health status in the U.S.

Oral and dental health issues remain a major burden in the U.S. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealed that nearly 18 percent of children aged five to 19 years old had untreated dental caries in 2015. The CDC also showed that more than a quarter of adults aged between 20 and 44 years had the same condition in 2015. In addition, CDC data revealed that 83 percent of patients aged two to 17 years made dental appointments in 2015, while 62 percent of adults aged 18 to 64 and 62.4 percent of seniors over 65 years did so in the same year.

Furthermore, the CDC noted that disparities in oral health continue to exist across ethnic groups in the U.S. According to the CDC, non-Hispanic blacks, Hispanics, American Indians, and Alaska Natives generally have the worst oral health of any racial and ethnic groups in the country. Mexican American and black, non-Hispanic children have the highest rates of tooth decay among young patients aged two to eight years old. On the other hand, blacks, non-Hispanics and Mexican Americans were nearly twice as likely to suffer untreated tooth decay compared with white, non-Hispanic adults.
