Berlin clubbers oppose AfD march with dance party (VIDEO)

Up to 10,000 people are expected to take part in the march entitled ‘Future for Germany,’ according to its organizers, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. The event sees protesters walk from Berlin’s main train station to the Brandenburg Gate.

The right-wing populist party, known for its anti-migrant and anti-Muslim stance, became the largest opposition party to Angela Merkel’s coalition government after last year’s federal elections.

A counter-demonstration called ‘Stop the Hatred’ has been organized in the city’s government district. The counter-protest will involve the techno and dance scenes, with several DJs expected to travel through the city playing loud music to encourage a street party of sorts. There will also be a protest on boats on the Spree River.

Organizers predict attendance at the counter-demonstrations to exceed 10,000. Dozens of  groups, politicians and nightclubs have joined forces to face off with AfD protestors. Organizers say they intend to block the AfD’s route.

“We want to attract so many demonstrators that the AfD won’t be able to take a single step,” spokesperson Nora Berneis told Deutsche Welle, adding that they were willing to engage in “civil disobedience” to achieve their goal.

The police are preparing for a major operation with more than 2,000 officers scheduled to be on duty.

‘One year is enough’: Thousands of anti-Macron protesters march in Paris (WATCH LIVE)

READ MORE: Fall of ‘Jupiter’? Macron’s popularity down, as hopes for the ‘political wonderboy’ seem to vanish

Workers’ unions in France have been holding protests against Macron’s planned labor reforms, which will grant employers the power to negotiate conditions with their workers, making it easier for them to hire and fire staff while also capping payouts. Job cuts and salary freezes will also be implemented across the public sector, including in education, transportation and the courts. Critics have branded the reforms an “assault” on the rights of French workers.

The protests are the latest in a series of demonstrations that have taken place across the country in recent weeks. In April, events turned violent after officers in riot gear fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse protesters on the streets of Paris.

Thousands take to streets of Glasgow for Scottish independence march (PHOTOS)

Participants of the All Under One Banner (AUOB) march gathered in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow before walking in the direction of George Square. The event is open to “everyone who desires an independent nation,” according to organizers.

“Glasgow city center will be brought to a standstill as our independence march traverses through en route to George Square,” an AUOB member said on the event’s fundraising page. The group says its main mission is to “march for independence at periodical intervals until Scotland is free.”

The event takes place every year, with organizers hoping to double last year’s participants, which totaled up to 25,000 people. The AUOB has also organized a march in Dumfries on June 2 and Inverness on July 28.

It follows the September 2014 independence referendum, which ultimately saw 55.3 percent of voters choosing to remain within the United Kingdom. However, the 2016 Brexit vote has since revived the independence discussion in Scotland, as 62 percent of the population voted to remain within the European Union – a higher number than was seen in England or Wales.

Media Virtually Ignoring Women’s March’s Unhinged Position on Backpage Shutdown

Saturday was, as Katie Yoder at NewsBusters noted Tuesday afternoon, a “sad day.” That’s when the Women’s March sprang to the defense of Backpage.com, tweeting that its Friday seizure by the Justice Department “is an absolute crisis for sex workers.” In that same tweet, the group declared that “Sex workers rights are women’s rights.” Backpage and seven associated individuals were indicted Monday on charges relating to facilitating prostitution — including child prostitution conducted by human sex traffickers. Thus far, the establishment press has been almost unanimously running cover for the Women’s March by ignoring its disgraceful position.

According to the New York Times’s coverage of the the first Women’s March in January 2017, participants reportedly were there to “Protest Trump.” On the eve of that first march, a Times op-ed writer, who hoped that it “Could Resurrect the Democratic Party,” lamented that “Sex workers have rightly raised issues with its failure to meaningfully address their concerns.”

There was no other reference to “sex workers” at the Times during the last half of January 2017 — even though, according to Archive.org, the March’s “Guiding Visions and Definition of Principles” were published the next week. That document stated that “we stand in full solidarity with the sex workers’ rights movement.”

Friday’s tweet was thus consistent with the March’s “principles”:

WomensMarchOnBackpageShutdown040718

The underlying Friday tweet from the affiliated Collective Action for Safe Spaces has one more word (“bodies”) at its end. It fails to acknowledge that Backpage made no meaningful effort to distinguish between “consensual” and “coerced” sex, or between adult and child prostitution.

The full Collective Action for Safe Spaces tweet also provides the following Q & A which belongs in the “You can’t possibly make this up” file. It was issued in response to Congress’s recent passage of “SESTA-FOSTA” (the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers and Fight Online Sex Trafficking Acts):

WomensMarchCASStweetQA040618

The Backpage indictment shows that it engaged in a comprehensive game of “Let’s pretend” to avoid inferences of illegal activity:

BackpageIndictmentProstitution040908

Despite the supposedly vaunted “safeguards,” the site deliberately failed to screen out underage sex trafficking:

BackpageIndictmentUnderage040908

Thus, according to the Women’s March, it “is an absolute crisis for sex workers” that a site which knowingly concealed its users’ intentions and allowed human trafficking to occur has been shut down. This position, regardless of what one thinks of SESTA-FOSTA’s larger implications, is unhinged and opposed by the vast majority of Americans, the vast majority of women, and the vast majority of people who describe themselves as feminists.

Establishment press coverage of the Backpage shutdown and indictment have failed to mention the Women’s March’s objections. That would include Reuters (shutdown; indictment), the Associated Press (shutdown; indictment) and the New York Times, (shutdown, while relying on wires for indictment stories).

A Google News search at 6:15 p.m. ET Tuesday on “Backpage Women’s March” (not in quotes, sorted by date, past week, with no duplicates) returned only 22 items. Only Newsweek’s related article came from a site which would be considered part of the so-called mainstream media.

45,908 Asylum Applications, 18,599 Invade Europe in March 2018

The nonwhite invasion of Europe has continued unabated throughout February 2018, with 45,908 “applications for international protection” being lodged, and an additional 18,599 Third World invaders entering illegally by sea and land during the month of March.

A European Asylum Support Office map showing the countries from which the invasion of Europe is being launched.

According to the latest figures released by the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) in Brussels, 45,908 “applications for international protection” were lodged in the European Union in February.

At least 3 percent of all the applications claimed to be “unaccompanied minors” (UAM). The self-claimed UAM applicants were predominantly nationals of Afghanistan (17 percent of all UAM applications), who increased in February (278) compared to January (196).

Larger shares of UAMs were also observed among citizens of Eritrea (9 percent of all UAM applicants) and The Gambia (8 percent).

The top five countries of origin of applicants remained the same as in January: Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, and Pakistan. These citizenships jointly accounted for a third of all applications for international protection lodged in the EU in February 2018.

Georgia, Albania, Iran, Bangladesh, and Venezuela completed the list of the 10 most common citizenships of origin.

According to the United Nation’s International Organization for Migration (IOM), a further 18,599 Third World invaders landed in Europe during March.

Of this number, 15,913 invaded by sea, and 2,686 by land.

The main nationalities of arrivals (in descendant order), according to the IOM, were as follows:

To Italy: Eritrea, Tunisia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Libya.

To Greece: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, State of Palestine, Cameroon.

To Spain: Morocco, Algeria, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Syria .

To Bulgaria: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan.

In Hungary, for the period from March 30 to April 5, no invaders were registered. This represents a 100 percent decrease from the previous period (5 registered arrivals, from March 23 to March 29).

In the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, for the period from March 30 to April 5, 14 invaders were registered. This represents a 22 percent decrease from the previous period (18 registered invaders, from March 23 to March 29).

The figures mean that on average, Europe is invaded by at least 60,000 nonwhites every month, or around 2,000 per day. While all are claiming “asylum,” none are actually genuine asylum seekers at all, and are merely seeking to parasite off the race-blind European liberal welfare system.

Needless to say, no nation in Europe can withstand this ongoing mass invasion, and if not halted, it will destroy those white nations through simple population replacement.

US plug-in car sales post highest ever month in March

Market watchers and media analysts may be slamming Tesla for missing their 2,500-car-a-week production goals—but they are still churning out plug-in cars at an incredible rate. In doing so, they are almost single-handedly changing what the electric vehicle market looks like.

Inside EVs reports that March was a record-setting month for electric and plug-in vehicle sales in the US, with a whopping 26,373 plug-ins delivered. Compare that to 18,542 the year before, and it starts to feel like something big is going on.

Of course, it’s dangerous to read too much into any one month. New models and fluctuations in factory output can create significant statistical noise.

Tesla, for example, may finally be turning a corner on its production hell, and delivered 3,820 Model 3s, 3,375 Model S, and 2,825 Model X. That’s a lot of Teslas, and serves as a counterpoint to hyped stories that the car maker is facing imminent doom. Meanwhile the brand new Nissan Leaf saw 1,500 deliveries in March, compared to just 895 in February. That’s not surprising given these are so fresh off the factory floor, but it will be interesting to see whether sales grow from here—or if they plateau as people wait for longer range options to become available.

On a personal level, I was also interested to note that estimated Chrysler Pacifica eHybrid sales have been rising steadily this year from 375 in January, through 450 in February to 480 in March. Yes, that’s not exactly a huge number compared to the Leafs and the Model 3s of this world—but given the outsized impact of larger vehicles, I’m excited to see signs that electrification may be gaining traction in this segment too. My own family’s experiences with this vehicle have been overwhelmingly positive—and I know of three other families in our community who have taken the plunge and are loving (and telling others about) their purchase too.

I suspect that this is only the beginning. Plug-in car sales have been growing steadily for some time to come, but at some point they will really take off. Anecdotally at least, the number of people I know who ask about—and are interested in—plug-in cars, compared to the number of people who currently own one, suggest there’s plenty of room for the market to grow further.

Watch this space.
