Memorial Day: 5 Times Hollywood Disrespected Our Military Heroes on Television

With Memorial Day weekend upon us, it’s not all about a day off and a barbeque, it’s about honoring and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Really, it’s something we should be doing all year long, but in Hollywood it’s the opposite. They seem to take joy in dragging down our military. I guess it’s too much to expect them to show some respect and gratitude to those who defend their right to free speech, though, isn’t it?

Let’s take a look at 5 ways in which Hollywood portrayed the military unfairly on TV this season.

1. They Perpetuated the PTSD-triggered Killer Veteran Trope

On the Netflix series The Punisher, veterans are portrayed as killer time bombs. At local veteran counseling program we meet a young man named Lewis (Daniel Webber) who struggles with returning back to civilian life. Angry at a country that has seemingly turned its back on him and the Second Amendment, an unstable Lewis sets off a bomb at the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms field office at Wall Street to send this message to the public, which he also provides in a letter to New York Bulletin reporter Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) as we see in this scene.

Forget about the titular character being a vigilante veteran, this guy is a Timothy McVeigh-like unhinged veteran with PTSD. It doesn’t do anything to help actual veterans suffering when they return home, it just pushes false narratives and fear.

2. They Tried to Turn PTSD into a Joke

On the other hand, we have HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, which tried to turn PTSD into a joke in a spectacularly anti-veteran episode.

[Language warning]

Victor: What the fuck is this?
Larry: You all right?
Victor: Oh, fuck. Pull over! Pull over! – 10:00. Redcoats, man. Larry, there’s fucking redcoats, man! – You motherfuckers!
Larry: Hey.
Victor: Don’t tread on me, motherfuckers!
Larry: Come on!
Victor: Yeah!
Larry: Hey! No!
Victor: It’s your last day, you bitches. Get the fuck outta here!
Larry: They’re valets! Come on, man!
Man: Hey, please!

One of the worst things you could do is deter a veteran from getting the help he or she needs. Why would they do this?

3. They Called Serving in the Armed Forces “Cowardice”

On the Lifetime series UnReal, with follows the fictional dating show Everlasting, two suitors are going for the same girl. One, August, is a pacifist and one, Owen, is a veteran. In this episode, the producer, Rachel, needs to stir up some drama, so she asks August his thoughts on Owen wearing his uniform.

Rachel: Owen he’s not in a tux. What do you — How do you feel about him wearing his military uniform tonight? I mean, I know that you’re a pacifist.

August: Yeah, I am. Um, all right. I’m not really into the military’s mission myself, but I just try to live and let live. Owen’s not a bad guy. I’m sure he believes in what he did over there.

Rachel: What do you think he did?

August: I mean, I know that we’ve all seen the pictures of those dead children. I mean, Owen wouldn’t — In any war, every soldier has some responsibility for what happens.

Rachel: But most people think that the troops are unbelievably brave.

August: Look, I can’t think of anything more brave than standing up for what I believe in, which is the dignity of human life. I mean, soldiers enforce fear and submission. I’ve worked all around the world to promote peace. I’ve been out there on the front line.

Rachel: Yeah, but not like a veteran has, not really.

August: More than a veteran has, and I was unarmed. What is weak is hiding behind a uniform and armor and machine guns, and then you go and call yourself a hero? Sorry, but that’s my definition of cowardice. Uh, are we done?

Rachel: Yep.

Well, Owen ended up seeing the footage, as Rachel knows he will, and a fight predictably breaks out, even though Owen has been the sweetest guy all season (and a good dad to a little girl, to boot).

Owen manages to share a few hard truths, but August gets in several more low blows.

Owen: Hey, what the hell have you been saying about me, man?

August: Listen, I don’t want to be involved in any aggression, all right, mate?

Owen: I’m defending myself against aggression. Against your attack on the military I risked my life serving in. You got a problem with that? Say it to my face.

August: Yeah, I do have a problem with it, okay? That’s what pacifism is.

Quinn: Turn off the stage mic and turn up the contestants’ lavs. Put ’em through the speakers now!

August: -What about them?

Owen: It’s not that simple, man.

August: Oh, it’s not?

Owen: There are sick individuals in this world who prey on the weak and vulnerable. Somebody’s gotta stop ’em, and I’m sorry, but they don’t exactly respond to incense and drum circles.

Quinn: This is great.

August: But how many people have you hurt or killed because you had the power of deadly weapons, mate? How many women, Owen? How many children?

Owen: If I were you, I would shut my mouth right now.

August: What if your daughter was a little Iraqi girl? Would those Iraqis matter to you then? I’m not gonna fight you, mate, all right? I’ve got principles.

Owen: Oh, yeah, it’s easy to hide behind principles when you have the privilege of living in a bubble where you never had to make hard choices.

August: No. Be honest, mate. This is who you really are — a fighting machine. The military took your humanity. They made you all killers.

Cowardice? Fighting machines? Killers who lack humanity? This is definitely an unfair depiction.

4. They Depicted Those Who Serve as Selfish

In the exact same episode as above, Curb Your Enthusiasm made fun of patriotic Americans who thank military members for their service while mocking the military, painting them as egotistical.

Victor: Mrs. Greene.
Susie: Oh, my baby.
Sammi: Hi, Mom. Victor, my boy.
Victor: How you doing? How you doing?
Susie: Okay, so this is our friend, Richard Lewis.
Richard Lewis: Thank you for your service, bro.
Victor: Oh, thank you. Thank you.
Susie: And our neighbors, Leslie and John.
Leslie: What a hero you are. Thank you for your service.
Victor: Oh, thank you. The real heroes are still there, but I appreciate that.
John: Thank you for your service.
Victor: Thank you. You have a grateful nation.
Susie: And this is our friend, Larry.
Larry: Hey. Hey. Nice to meet you.
Victor: Um, yeah, it’s, uh…You know what? Um, I’m gonna excuse myself.
Sammi: Victor. Victor.
Larry: Huh? What– what’s…?
Susie: You didn’t thank him for his service, asshole.
Larry: They thanked him. Three people thanked him. Why do I have to thank him?
John: Fuck, how hard would it have been? “Thank you for your service.”
Larry: Does everybody have to thank him for his service?
Susie: Now you’ve ruined everything, Larry. I’m making all this delicious salmon, and the whole night is ruined.
Larry: Are you sautéing that?
Susie: Yes.
Larry: Would you mind broiling mine? That a face?
Susie: Get the fuck out. Leave.
Larry: Hmm. Okay. Thank you for serving the hors d’oeuvres.
Susie: Out!
Larry: Um, thank you for being a very good manager. Thank you for coming over in this brisk weather.
Susie: Thank you for leaving!

Is there anything less selfish than serving one’s country?

5. They Portrayed the Military as Full Of Rapists and Bigots.

In this episode of SVU, a prostitute was raped, beaten, and left for dead in a hotel room. Of course, the perpetrator of this horrible crime turned out to be a member of the U.S. Military. Another soldier didn’t want to testify because it turns out he’s transgendered, and then he became the victim.

Jim: I didn’t do anything, Lieutenant. I didn’t touch her.

Benson: I know that, Jim. I know. I bet when you enlisted, you were in high school.

Jim: College.

Benson: You could have done anything with your life, and you chose to serve your country.

Jim: And if I testify, my country will attack me.

Benson: Not your country. Some closed-minded people who work for—

Jim:…a difference without a distinction. I’d like to help you put Staff Sergeant in prison, but if I do, I’ll be putting myself in a prison of my own making.

Benson: Kind of like the one you’re in now? You’re worried how your fellow soldiers will see you?

Jim: I’m so far beyond that. The least of my worries is having people laughing at me behind my back, craning to get a look at me in the shower. But once I’m outed to officials, there’s no going back in. And by the stroke of a tweet sent from Air Force One, I could lose my job. My career. Everything I’ve ever worked for.

Benson: I know that things feel… uncertain. But do you get any comfort knowing that that tweet did not become a law?

Jim: Today maybe. What about tomorrow? I don’t know what’s gonna happen. Do you?

Benson: No, I don’t.

Jim: Look at me! I’m a soldier, Lieutenant. A damn good soldier. I couldn’t stand being stuck behind a desk. I love what I do. This job is who I am.

Not only was this service member a violent rapist, they got in an unnecessary dig at the Commander-in-Chief, too.

The majority of television shows followed these anti-military themes. But occasionally, some shows portrayed service members as good people serving their country.

While CBS’s SEAL Team didn’t always show the SEALs in a positive light, at least team leader Jason (David Boreanaz) was consistently shown to be the voice of truth, justice and the American way.

In this scene, they are standing in a Syrian hospital full of dying civilians who have been exposed to the nerve agent VX and Ray (Neil Brown, Jr.) sarcastically asks if the United States really are “the good guys” if we’re the ones who produced the chemical. Fortunately Jason is there to explain the little nuance that many liberals don’t understand that sets the U.S. apart – we don’t actually use chemical weapons on people!

Ray: You know we invented VX, right?

Jason: Sorry, what?

Ray: Yeah. Well, actually, to be fair, the Brits did first. But they did it by mistake, and as soon as they realized how toxic it was, they stopped making it. A few years later, the U.S. Army goes into mass production. We’re the good guys, right?

Jason: You know what? We are the good guys, Ray, because we’re not actually using this stuff.

America isn’t perfect, but we are the good guys. There are bad people in this world who intend to do us harm, and we should be grateful to those who volunteer and give the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe and America great. We can’t expect much from Hollywood, but let’s be sure to spend time this Memorial Day to remember and honor the fallen who gave us so much.

Another Hollywood Arrest: This Time It Involves Sexual Abuse of Children & Trafficking

Next Story

It’s not nice to write of such topics as discussed in this article, but it’s something we’ve been trying to help expose since Collective Evolution began. Elite level child trafficking cults that brainwash women and young children is a reality, and it’s something that we have to raise awareness about and shed some light on.

A lot of attention and awareness has been created on the abuse of women in Hollywood lately, and many other places, like politics and also within the military industrial complex, and sometimes it’s hard to believe how all of them aren’t somehow connected.

For example. U.S. representative, Cynthia McKinney, was well aware of the corruption that was going on within DynCorp, and she actually addressed it in 2005. She grilled former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, on the government’s involvement and compliance with military contractor DynCorp’s child trafficking business of selling women and children. She was brave enough to bring it up. More than a decade later, Retired Army General James Grazioplene, who worked in the Pentagon and as the Vice President of DynCorp, is currently facing six rape charges.

There are more examples later in the article.

Unfortunately, there is always big money behind this type of thing as well as keeping it covered up and secretive at all costs.

As with most things that receive public attention from mainstream media (even though it’s the other way around, it’s more like mainstream media deciding what receives public attention), we probably won’t get all of the details, and all of the people involved in this scandal won’t be known.

This time, it’s an older story, but new details have emerged and it involved a man named Keith Raniere, and his company called NXIVM, supposedly offering “executive success programs,” whatever that means.

Raniere was arrested in March 2018 in Mexico on charges of sex trafficking.

He is accused of raping girls as young as 12, imprisoning a woman for 18 months and more, he is currently in federal custody in New York. This is all over the internet, the Sun goes a little more into his background.

The new details are as follows: a according to the charges, Smallville actress Allison Mack was a member of the cult and worked in a management position. Keep in mind, she was also probably brainwashed, who really knows? Many of the victimizers are also victims themselves, but that’s something society fails to see at the moment. Right now, we’re constantly judging and punishing, instead of really looking into things deeper in order to solve the real problems here.

According to The Free Thought Project, Mack’s job was to “lure women into the programs under the pretense of female empowerment and self-help workshops, to then convince them to sign up for a more “advanced program” called Dominus Obsequious Sororium, which required these women to basically turn the lives over to cult leader Keith Raniere. Dominus Obsequious Sororium is a quasi-Latin phrase that roughly translates to “Master Over the Slave Women.”

Despite the fact that we really need to have more discussions around these topics and how to approach the safe disclosure of them all, it’s good to see some exposure, because it helps those who are currently facing experiences that nobody should experience.

It’s worrisome to think that the report aired by NBC of Hillary Clinton covering up an elite level pedophile ring might be true, especially when people from within have also accused the Clinton’s, and others, of engaging in such activities with minors.

And to think that the UK government & Catholic Church have stated that these youngsters can ‘consent’ is even more disturbing, and if you dive into what’s happening with the Vatican and child sexual abuse claims, it’s enough to overwhelm your mind, but it’s important to write about, because it gets no attention.

The fact that this type of thing doesn’t receive the attention it deserves, is no mystery, mainstream media is a government/corporate organization, they are directly interconnected with the military industrial complex, and this is evident by their relationship with intelligence agencies, and mass propaganda when it comes to major events, like what’s happening in Syria.

The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 20.9 million human trafficking victims worldwide and 4.5 million people trapped in forced sex trafficking around the globe. At least 100,000 children are prostituted annually in the U.S., adding to the $9.8 billion U.S. sex trafficking industry.

NXIVM can now be added to those statistics,  the organisation has been described as a “cult” in which women were allegedly branded, blackmailed and brainwashed.

What’s the Take-Away Message Here?

The take-away message of such information should not be a reaction of disgust and judgement, but there is a lesson here, and that’s to realize that there are some ‘dark’ experiences happening in our world, and this is just one of many. The point is, we tend to cower from them, and refuse to accept them as truth, simply because it’s too much for our mind to handle.

This may not be such a case, but even today elite level cults like this that abuse young children are branded as a conspiracy theory.

If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s fine, but to deny the reality entirely is really not helping those who are involved, and only helping those who are in charge of this type of thing

We already receive a lot of ‘negativity’ from the media, it seems there are no major ‘feel-good’ stories that we get. Some people say it’s because it doesn’t make for goodT.V., but more are starting to say that there is reason we are fed so much fear.

That’s another story, like 1984.

Perhaps the world isn’t in as much chaos as is portrayed? I believe that’s 100 percent true, but that doesn’t mean these ‘dark’ things are not a reality.

As a human race we have to move towards transparency. Secrecy is only needed because people engage in acts that go against any human beings inner moral compass, including their own.

Secrecy is not needed in a completely moral society, and I believe many people are experiencing moral shifts themselves. At the end of the day, these are human beings directing these ‘dark’ things, perhaps not in all cases (lol), but in many…Imagine what a shift in his or her heart could do, it could unravel a major part of that ‘dark’ program…

The lesson here is understand it’s ok to fell the disbelief and fear you feel, but there are a lot of good things about our planet and the people on it too.

Something to think about…

Yes, sex slave cults are REAL, and another Hollywood actress just got arrested for allegedly helping run one

Image: Yes, sex slave cults are REAL, and another Hollywood actress just got arrested for allegedly helping run one

(Natural News)
Coming on the heels of infamous sex scandals like “Pizzagate,” Harvey Weinstein, and Jimmy Kimmel are new reports about an underground Hollywood sex slave ring co-led by former “Smallville” actress Allison Mack, who was recently arrested for her alleged involvement in luring new female recruits as slaves for her cult “master.”

Mack, 35, was reportedly a direct “slave” of Keith Raniere, the head honcho of a fake multi-level marketing company in upstate New York known as “Nxivm” that basically functioned as his own personal sex trafficking and forced labor cult. Mack was allegedly tasked by Raniere with finding fresh girls to join the cult, which she presented to potential new recruits as a mentorship and support group for women.

After taking the bait, girls who agreed to join were quickly summoned into sex slavery, and were forced to have sex with Raniere whenever he pleased. They were even held down as his initials were burned into their private parts with a cauterizing pen, according to criminal filings, during which Mack allegedly pressed into their chests and told them to “feel the pain” and to “think of [their] master.”

Another one of Mack’s responsibilities was to cajole the girls into offering up “collateral” about themselves, including things like embarrassing photos and statements that could be used against them as blackmail if they tried to defect from the sex cult. It’s a common tactic both in Hollywood and in politics to gather “dirt” on all the recruits in order to keep them from exposing the racket.

Sponsored solution from the Health Ranger Store: Lab-verified Nascent Iodine solution is a dietary supplement that provides your body with supplemental iodine to help protect your thyroid during radiation exposure. Nuclear accidents such as Fukushima (or nuclear war) can expose your body to radioactive iodine-131, a dangerous radioisotope. Pre-loading your system with stable iodine occupies the iodine receptor sites on your organs, causing your body to naturally expel radioactive iodine you may have been exposed to through air, food, water or milk products. This defensive strategy is recommended by nearly all health authorities, worldwide, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Discover more at this link.

According to criminal filings, the sex slaves were forced to abide by extremely restrictive diets, and were prevented from shaving their pubic hair. They were also prohibited from having sex with anyone other than Raniere, who forced them to pose naked for photos, including “close-up pictures of their vaginas.”

Other bizarre cult “initiation” activities included having slave masters like Mack force the slaves to participate in so-called “readiness” drills in which they were required to respond to sex requests 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of the slaves were beckoned so often that they ended up becoming “seriously sleep-deprived.” In at least one case, a slave became so thin from losing sleep that she actually stopped having periods.

“As alleged in the indictment, Allison Mack recruited women to join what was purported to be a female-mentorship group that was, in fact, created and led by Keith Raniere,” said United States Attorney Richard P. Donoghue in a statement.

“The victims were then exploited, both sexually and for their labor, to the defendants’ benefit.”

How many Hollywood starlets have been recruited as sex cult participants over the years?

Fellow “Smallville” star Kristin Kreuk was reportedly a part of the Nxivm cult as well, and rose to the ranks of the “inner circle” in 2012. She eventually left, however, at least according to an official statement given to the media by the group’s former publicist.

With connections all over the world and a phony cover reputation as a “self-help” organization, Nxivm has reportedly drawn in many a Hollywood actress over the years. Gina Melita was reportedly recruited into the organization by Raniere back in 1984, during which time she participated in a four-month relationship with him.

“I was perfect picking – insecure at the time,” Melita told the Albany Times Union back in 2012. “To have someone that mature, and that well-thought-of, to be interested in me, it was flattering. I was young, inexperienced, overwhelmed, out of my league.”

If convicted, Mack faces 15 years to life in prison.

Sex slavery and other gross perversions are deeply embedded within the Hollywood deep state entertainment and media machine. You can learn more by visiting DeepState.news.

Today Dr. Duke talked about an interview by former Israeli military prison guard Jeffrey Goldberg (now head of The Atlantic magazine) with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The article represents a coming out of the closet of the long-standing close military relationship between Saudi Arabia and Israel, which has seen the two countries cooperate in the creation of ISIS and the promotion of a likely World War III against Iran.

Dr. Slattery joined the show and they talked about the twisting of the term “racist” and its misuse against human rights activists like Dr. Duke while the real Jewish racists get a pass on their behavior, which has been destructive for so many people around the globe.

Jeff Greenfield Compares Trump to Hollywood Movie Fascist President

In the early spring of 1933—with a quarter of Americans out of work and banks failing by the day, threatening a complete collapse of the financial system, as farmers watched their crops rot in the field—“Gabriel Over the White House” premiered. The film, directed by Gregory La Cava, had been rushed into production with the financial help of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst, and it was designed as a clear message to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt that he might need to embrace dictatorial powers to solve the crisis of the Great Depression. (It was an idea embraced by establishment types like columnist Walter Lippmann, and the influential editorial pages of the New York Herald-Tribune.)

The movie stars Walter Huston as newly elected President Judson Hammond, a smug, glad-handing politician in the model of Warren Harding—complete with a private secretary-mistress and blissfully indifferent to the sufferings of the country. Unemployment? The spread of organized crime, with mobsters like Al Capone effectively controlling the Chicago Police Department? “Local problems,” Hammond says.

But one night, driving back to the White House at excessive speed, Hammond crashes the car; as he lies near death, the curtains of his bedroom riffle while mysterious music plays. Soon he rises from his bed, with fire in his eyes, driven by divine intervention. (We never see it, but later, his secretary and mistress intuits that “the angel Gabriel“ has entered the body of the president.)

Confronted by a million-man march of the unemployed—drawn from the real life “Bonus Army” of 1932—he rejects his Cabinet’s plan to crush them and instead promises to turn them into a government-financed “Army of Reconstruction.” When Congress, appalled by his outlandish idea, threatens impeachment, he marches into the halls of the Capitol, assails their fecklessness and tells them he will “rule by martial law.” In a series of radio speeches, he declares an end to mortgage foreclosures, announces a plan to shore up the banks and farms and repeals Prohibition by fiat. He organizes a secret army to round up the crime kingpins, try them in courts-martial and execute them by firing squad as the Statue of Liberty looms in the background. He summons the leaders of the world, threatens them with a super-weapon and then pressures them into universal disarmament. With that, the divine force leaves his body and he dies.

The movie was welcomed by, among others, FDR, who told the filmmakers “it would do a lot of good.” (It was more than coincidental that the fireside chats, the public works programs and banking reforms all became part of FDR’s “first 100 days.“) “Gabriel Over the White House” was both a critical and commercial hit. The New York Times called it “a curious, somewhat fantastic and often melodramatic story, but nevertheless one which at this time is very interesting.” It turned a tidy profit of some $200,000. But it faded into obscurity, in large measure because the idea of a “benevolent dictatorship” seemed a lot less attractive after the degradation of Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin.
