Shooter had sought healing from California vets center

When Albert Wong returned from an Army deployment in Afghanistan in 2013, he knew it had affected him. He had trouble adjusting to regular life, couldn’t sleep at night and was hyper-vigilant about his surroundings.

But when he found a treatment program for veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who suffer from post-traumatic stress or traumatic brain injuries, he saw it as a way to get help and readjust to civilian life, said Cissy Sherr, who was his legal guardian and raised him for several years as a child. Until he was recently expelled.

On Friday, police said Wong slipped into a going-away party at the program, The Pathway Home, and took three employees hostage. After an hours-long standoff, Wong and the three female workers, one of whom was pregnant, were all found dead.

As a child, Wong had always dreamed of joining the Army, said Sherr, who began caring for him when he was 6 after his father died and his mother developed medical issues.

“He had a lot of role models in the Army,” Sherr said Saturday in an interview with The Associated Press. “He was patriotic and he wanted to do that forever.”

Sherr and her husband raised Wong for several years, enrolled him in Catholic school and signed him up for baseball, basketball and track teams. Together, they traveled to Florida, Hawaii and Boston, where he experienced snow for the first time.

“He was a pretty happy-go-lucky kid,” Sherr said. “He always had a smile on his face.”

When Wong became a teenager and Sherr and her husband worked full-time, they decided to put him in foster care. He stayed with a foster father in San Francisco who had other teenage boys and he attended high school near San Francisco.

An older adopted brother, Tyrone Lampkin, recalled playing hockey and going fishing with Wong when they were kids. They also got into fights. Wong’s outbursts at times forced him to live elsewhere for stints, including the time as a teenager he pushed another brother down the stairs, breaking his leg, Lampkin told the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat in a story published Sunday.

Wong served in the Army Reserve from 1998 until 2002, enlisted for active duty in May 2010 and was deployed to Afghanistan in April 2011, according to military records.

He was a decorated soldier and was awarded the Expert Marksmanship Badge. But that also meant Wong was tasked with dangerous assignments, where he saw “really horrible things” that affected his mental well-being, Sherr said. He sometimes called her before he’d go on a mission, when Army officials told the soldiers to call their families.

“I had the impression he was kind of put in harm’s way, knowing that he didn’t have a family,” she said. “He didn’t seem the least bit resentful.”

Sherr said after Wong was honorably discharged from the Army in 2013, he planned to enroll in school and earn a degree in computer programming and business.

“He loved computers and he liked music. He was thoughtful and independent,” Sherr said. “He didn’t have a traditional upbringing but still he became a fine young man.”

Wong, who had a passion for working out at the gym, would often bring his ailing mother her favorite foods and spent a lot of time with her before she died last year, Sherr said.

But post-traumatic stress affected his ability to adjust to everyday life, Sherr said. He had trouble sleeping and was always wary of his surroundings.

“I think he realized that it started to catch up with him,” she said. “A couple of years ago, he told us if a door opens unexpectedly, I ask, ‘What is that?'”

Lampkin said Wong was never the same after getting out of the military, often becoming fixated on petty grievances such as people owing him money or not pulling their weight.

Wong told Sherr he had found a program at the veterans home in Yountville, California, and had met people who helped him enroll in a treatment program. He was also receiving assistance at a veterans hospital in San Francisco, she said.

He told Sherr: “I think I’m going to get a lot of help from this program,” she said, seeing the program as a possible path to recovery with other veterans in a similar position.

Officials have declined to provide additional information about why Wong was thrown out of the group.

But they say the former Army rifleman went to the center about 50 miles (85 kilometers) north of San Francisco Friday morning before exchanging gunfire with police and holding the women hostage in a room inside the center.

Lampkin said Wong confided to another brother that he was angry at the veterans’ program staff after he’d been dismissed from The Pathway Home.

“Albert was a good person, he really was a good person,” said Lampkin, who kept in touch with Wong by phone but hadn’t seen him for years. “I heard he stopped taking his meds and started drinking a lot … He never told me, he never told me.”

The victims were identified as Executive Director Christine Loeber, 48; Clinical Director Jennifer Golick, 42; and Jennifer Gonzales Shushereba, 32, a clinical psychologist with the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System who was also seven months pregnant.

After the shooting, John Dunbar, the mayor of Yountville and a member of The Pathway Home’s board of directors, said Wong was “one of our heroes who clearly had demons.”

The shooting has left Sherr with more questions than answers. Chief among them: Why did it happen and could more have been done to help Wong?

“In less than a year — less than half a year — things started to unravel,” she said. “He may have been without any resources to support him.”

Boost your body’s regenerative potential with these healing foods and nutrients

Image: Boost your body’s regenerative potential with these healing foods and nutrients

(Natural News) Whether you’re in the pink of health or suffering from medical conditions, it’s best to read up on these foods and nutrients that can help regenerate body tissues.

When we’re healthy, the body’s default state is that of ceaseless regeneration. However, when we’re sick, regenerative processes are overcome by degenerative ones. During times like this, medicine can help the body regain balance through foods, herbs, and nutrients. But drug-based medicine often uses chemicals that do not have any regenerative potential. They might even disrupt the body’s ability to self-renew to suppress the symptoms that they are supposed to address. (Related: Will scientists soon be able to regrow organs and injured tissue in patients?)

Here are six bodily tissues and the natural ways that can help your body initiate the regeneration process:

  1. Beta cell regeneration — Medical experts are still looking into the “diabetes-reversing potential” of natural compounds. Despite the funding that goes into “stem cell therapies, islet cell transplants, and an array of synthetic drugs in the developmental pipeline,” the cure for type-one diabetes could be right in our backyards or kitchens. In theory, the restoration of beta cells can help diabetics eliminate the need for insulin replacement. These compounds have experimentally helped reconstruct beta-cells that produce insulin and are destroyed in patients with diabetes: arginine, avocado, berberine (found in bitter herbs like goldenseal and barberry), bitter melon, chard, corn silk, curcumin, Gymenna Sylvestre/miracle fruit (“the sugar destroyer”), Nigella Sativa/fennel flower (“black cumin”), stevia, sulforaphane (which can be found in broccoli sprouts), and vitamin D.
  2. Cardiac cell regeneration — Various studies have proven that cardiac tissue can also regenerate. Researchers have even discovered a class of heart-tissue regenerating compounds called neocardiogenic substances. These substances help form cardiac progenitor cells, which turn into healthy heart tissue. Neocardiogenic substances include N-acetyl-cysteine, Geum Japonicum/Asian herb bennet, red wine extract, resveratrol, and Siberian ginseng/eleuthero root.
  3. Cartilage/joint/spine regeneration — Both curcumin and resveratrol can help improve recovery from spinal cord injury. Meanwhile, baicalin, Boswellia serrata, and curcumin extract are some of the potentially regenerative substances that can help address degenerative joint disease (i.e. osteoarthritis).
  4. Hormone regeneration — Vitamin C is one substance that can help manage hormone levels. The vitamin can contribute electrons to revive the form and function of estradiol/estrogen; E2), progesterone, and testosterone. If combined with foods that can help support the function of glands (e.g. the ovaries), vitamin C can soon replace or at least be an alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
  5. Nerve regeneration — A study from 2010, which was published in the journal Rejuvenation Research, revealed that combining blueberry, carnosine, and green tea produces neuritogenic (or promoting neuronal regeneration) and stem-cell regenerative effects in an animal model of neurodegenerative disease. Other researched neuritogenic substances include apigenin (a compound in vegetables like celery), ashwagandha, coffee (which contains trigonelline), curcumin, ginseng, huperzine, lion’s mane, mushroom, natto, red sage, resveratrol, royal jelly, and theanine. Remyelinating compounds, another class of nerve-healing substances, can help stimulate the restoration of the protective sheath around myelin (the axon of the neurons), which is usually damaged because of neurological injury and/or dysfunction, such as autoimmune and vaccine-induced demyelination disorders. Even therapeutic actions, such as listening to music or falling in love, can help improve your health and well-being. This proves that regenerative medicine does not always require the intake of food or drugs and that it can also incorporate various therapeutic actions.
  6. Liver regeneration — A compound in licorice called glycyrrhizin can help stimulate the regeneration of liver mass and function in the animal model of hepatectomy. Other substances that can stimulate liver regeneration include carvacrol (a compound found in oregano), curcumin, Korean ginseng, rooibos, and vitamin E.

Further study into regenerative medicine, along with cultivating attitudes, lifestyles, and proper diets that can boost bodily regeneration, will help us to attain bodily freedom that could soon lead to “the liberation of the human soul and spirit.”

The healing art of massage can be compromised by toxic chemicals in personal care products

Image: The healing art of massage can be compromised by toxic chemicals in personal care products

(Natural News)
The healing effects of a massage could be compromised by the chemicals in the massage oils used, according to a report published on the website

Massage is considered as a great natural cure. It is an effective treatment for pain management as well as an effective, non-drug option for people suffering from psychological disorders, such as anxiety and depression, insomnia, and anorexia nervosa. Its healing effects are partly because of the release of the body’s natural “feel good” hormones and neuropeptides called endorphins. When a person massages you, the gentle touch stimulates endorphins, increasing feelings of pleasure and security. Massage also reduces levels of stress and anxiety. It is considered a natural alternative to antidepressants, sleeping aids, and painkillers that have the highest rates of addiction. (Related: Massage therapy, healing touch are good medicine for the treatment and prevention of chronic disease)

However, it can also be extremely toxic. Your massage could include a great dose of crude oil distillates and chemicals that imitate hormones, which are considered as carcinogens, that are part of the ingredients of some personal care products. A massage can be harmful when it is done with the use of conventional massage oil or lotion that is not food-grade. Whatever product you apply on your skin goes directly into the body, without filters like the digestive tract and liver. These products are absorbed into the blood, lymph, and circulatory systems right away. Mineral oil is a derivative of crude oil that is commonly used in massage oils. However, it is a petrochemical that is associated with a minimum of 24 adverse health effects. It works similarly to a plastic wrap as it creates a barrier over the skin, which prevents moisture and oxygen exchange. In turn, this results in cellular breakdown. Moreover, frequent use of mineral oil accelerates the aging process by hampering regeneration of cells and damaging collagen and connective tissues. Such petrochemical is absorbed into tissues where they remain in organs and fat cells.

According to a 2011 study on 142 women voluntarily underwent C-sections, mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) was found to build up to detectable levels in both body fat and breast milk samples. Researchers of the study concluded that MOSH builds up in the body over time and is biopersistent, which means that they are not routinely excreted or expelled from the body. Other than age, the frequent use of sun creams, lipsticks, and hand creams was found to be a cause of MOSH accumulation. In a 2009 study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, it was found that moisturizing creams that contain mineral oil greatly increased the risk and the size of developing tumors in high-risk ultraviolent B rays-exposed skin.

Currently, there is no regulating body that safeguards the public when it comes to personal care products and the ingredients used. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the U.S. is responsible for guaranteeing public safety from negligent manufacturers. However, cosmetic products and their ingredients are not under the FDA’s presale approval authority, except for color additives, according to the FDA’s website.

What to do?

In order to avoid the toxic build-up and preventing massage to be toxic to you, ask the therapist what type of oil or lotion he or she will use during the session. Ask for the product’s main ingredient, and if it is not food-grade, insist on providing your own oil or lotion. You can also explain your concerns or say that it is for health reasons. So, how will you know if the oil is food-grade? Ensure that it is organic, and look for cold-pressed or virgin pressings. The five oils that massage therapists frequently use are fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, almond oil, and apricot kernel oil. Other natural food-grade massage oils are avocado oil, cocoa butter, grapeseed oil, kukui nut oil, and olive oil.

What The 432 Hz “Miracle Tone” Sounds Like (Listen): A Healing Frequency To Raise Your Vibration

Next Story

As sound healing becomes more popular, more and more people are starting to experiment with it. You have people learning how to chant, listening to specific frequencies, and using singing bowls. It’s not just those of us who are interested in spirituality and New Age concepts that are looking into this ancient Eastern knowledge, but scientists as well, studying these sounds and how they affect the body.

Though sound healing is only now beginning to enter into the mainstream, it’s been used as an ancient healing modality for many centuries in different religions. Even scientists such as Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein spoke of the importance of viewing everything in terms of vibration, energy, and frequency.

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”

– Nikola Tesla

Science has proven that everything is made up of energy and that everything holds its own vibration and frequency, which can then be increased or decreased. One person’s vibration that they’re emitting can then affect another person’s energy, and science has proven this interrelation through studying quantum mechanics and our electromagnetic fields or auras. You can read more about the research The HeartMath Institute is conducting on the heart’s aura and how we affect other people here.

With that logic, since sounds also hold their own frequency, wouldn’t it make sense that a specific sound’s frequency would affect that of our own?

The Science Behind Sound Healing

Dr. Herbert Benson, professor, author, cardiologist, and founder of Harvard’s Mind/Body Medical Institute, studied how sound healing, specifically mantric chanting, can help induce the Relaxation Response. The Relaxation Response is defined as an individual’s ability to prompt their body to release chemicals and brain signals that cause muscles to relax, respiration to slow, and blood pressure to drop.

The Relaxation Response can reduce symptoms of IBS and counteract the physiological changes of stress and the fight or flight response, including muscle tension, headache, upset stomach, racing heartbeat, and shallow breathing.

Dr. Ranjie Singh, a neuroscientist, writer, businessman, and global educator, found that chanting specific mantras releases the hormone melatonin, and this in turn offers many benefits, including tumour shrinkage and enhanced sleep.

Chanting has been found to oxygenate the brain, reduce heart rate, improve blood pressure, and calm brainwave activity. It can even cause the left and right hemispheres of the brain to synchronize.

Jonathan Goldman, American author, musician, and teacher in the fields of harmonics and sound healing, says:

Dr. Alfred Tomatis has utilized the sounds of Gregorian Monks to stimulate the ears, brain and nervous systems of clients. His work is very important with regard to the scientific and medical uses of sound and chant. He found that certain sounds that are particularly high in vocal harmonics will stimulate and charge the cortex of the brain and the nervous system. Some years ago, there was a very popular recording of Gregorian chanting that occurred just when this research was being made public. I know that many other types of chanting from different traditions have very similar effects. These are just a few of the hard physical phenomenon of mantric chanting that have been observed. There certainly are others, as well.

Another study performed in 2006 looked at the effects of transcendental meditation (TM), a form of meditation whereby the practitioner continuously repeats a mantra or chants, and concluded that TM can improve blood pressure and cardiac autonomic nervous system tone and decrease risk of coronary heart disease.

A series of experiments conducted by neuro-electric therapy engineer Dr. Margaret Patterson and Dr. Ifor Capel revealed how alpha brainwaves boosted the production of serotonin. Dr. Capel explained:

[A]s far as we can tell, each brain center generates impulses at a specific frequency based on the predominant neurotransmitter it secretes. In other words, the brain’s internal communication system—its language, if you like—is based on frequency… Presumably, when we send in waves of electrical energy at, say, 10 Hz, certain cells in the lower brain stem will respond because they normally fire within that frequency range.

Additional research upholds the beliefs of mind-body medicine in this sense, stating that brainwaves being in the Alpha state, 8 to 14 Hz, permits a vibration allowing for more serotonin to be created.

Why You Should Consider Listening to A=432 HZ Music

Most music worldwide has been tuned to A=440 Hz since the International Standards Organization (ISO) promoted it in 1953. However, when looking at the vibratory nature of the universe, it’s possible that this pitch isn’t actually harmonious with the natural resonance of nature and may generate negative effects on human behaviour and consciousness.

It’s said that A=440 HZ frequency music actually conflicts with some of our chakras that reside from the base of the spine to the heart. It is said that this music stimulates the ego and left-brain function, which can suppress our intuition. There are tons of conspiracies surrounding this frequency, and many seem plausible given the fact that the mainstream music industry incorporates propaganda and mind control.

432 HZ is said to be mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe. It is said that 432 HZ vibrates with the universe’s golden mean, Phi, and unifies the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity, and magnetism with biology, the DNA code, and consciousness. When our atoms and DNA start to resonate in harmony with the spiralling pattern of nature, our sense of connection to nature is said to be magnified. The number 432 is also reflected in ratios of the sun, Earth, and moon, as well as the procession of the equinoxes, the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Stonehenge, and the Sri Yantra, among many other sacred sites.

“From my own observations, some of the harmonic overtone partials of A=432hz 12T5 appear to line up to natural patterns and also the resonance of solitons. Solitons need a specific range to form into the realm of density and span from the micro to the macro cosmos. Solitons are not only found in water mechanics, but also in the ion-acoustic breath between electrons and protons.”

– Brian T. Collins

If you’d like to give it a chance, check out this beautiful music in A=432 HZ.

Final Thoughts

Tuning instruments to A=432 HZ is an ancient practice, and many musicians who still do so state that they choose this frequency because it’s more beautiful and harmonious for the ears. Many people choose to conduct work or meditate to this music because it can have a calming or comforting effect.

It’s clear that sound healing is effective in many cases, and although the specific A=432 HZ frequency hasn’t been studied extensively, there’s no harm in giving it a try! This doesn’t mean you need to abandon all of your favourite music; it’s just important to be mindful of what frequencies you’re exposing yourself to and how they affect your vibration.

I do love some mainstream music, but I also really enjoy some alternative and meditation music. I think it’s important to have some balance in regards to my taste in music, but that’s the beauty of music — it’s so personal!

It’s not just music that emits a frequency either, but all sounds: TV shows, movies, even podcasts. I personally really enjoy listening to Kevin Trudeau’s tapes/podcasts, which I believe raise consciousness and deprogram the mind and thus raise my vibration. Many people will also listen to Baroque-style classical music because of its high-vibe and relaxing effect.

Even if you’re skeptical about sound healing, there’s no harm in trying it! Ultimately, our greatest source of information is ourselves, so you might as well find out whether or not it can help you or relax you in any way.

Healing from cancer – A safe alternative

Image: Healing from cancer – A safe alternative

(Natural News)
According to the American Cancer Society, the number of people living with a cancer diagnosis in the United States is expected to soar to almost 19 million by the year 2024. For many people, this may be a (good) sign that more and more individuals are ‘living well’ past their diagnosis. But, you and I both know that this statistic barely reveals the real story.

For example, approximately 1,735,350 new cases are expected in the year 2018 alone – with the most common projected to be cancers of the breast, lung, prostate, colon and pancreas.

Even with these sobering statistics, board-certified physician and cancer expert Linda Isaacs, MD, offers a breath of fresh air – reporting that individualized nutritional protocols and the use of pancreatic enzymes can bring “remarkable” results. However, Dr. Isaacs emphasizes the importance of committing fully to a treatment plan, likening cancer treatment to a “marathon” and not a “sprint.”

Discover the many natural ways to eliminate the threat of cancer without toxic drugs or risky medical procedures. On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Linda Isaacs, MD will talk about several groundbreaking cancer-fighting strategies that include: nutritional interventions, dietary supplements and detoxification protocols – which have been part of the practice of Dr. Isaacs for over 20 years.

Worthy to note: much of her time was spent working with the late Nicholas Gonzalez, MD, a renowned physician and cancer specialist. If you or someone you love have been diagnosed with cancer, make sure to mark your calendar for this lifesaving program. (this Sun. Mar. 4)

Is a noncoventional cancer therapy right for you?

In answering this question, Dr. Isaacs stresses the importance of first learning as much as you can about the type of cancer you have. She points out that some cancers – including early-stage colon or cervical cancer – can respond well to conventional medical treatments such as surgery, while others, such as Hodgkin’s disease, may benefit from chemotherapy.

Of course, Dr. Isaacs also advises educating yourself about whether treatments are “curative” or “palliative.” While curative treatments are aimed at eliminating the threat of cancer, palliative treatments are intended to alleviate symptoms, shrink tumors, improve quality of life and prolong survival.

Dr. Isaacs recommends the publication Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine as a valuable source of case reports about patients – particularly those who have enjoyed good results with complementary and holistic cancer protocols.

If opting for an ‘integrative approach’ – which is intended to blend conventional medical procedures with non-conventional therapies – Dr. Isaacs stresses that your primary care physician (and oncologist) should be kept fully apprised of the treatments used.

The “three-fold approach” to treating cancer

According to Dr. Isaacs, an organic diet – free of refined flour, sugar and alcohol – is of paramount importance in treating cancer. Particularly vital is the inclusion of unlimited fresh (organic) fruits and vegetables to reverse cellular damage and minimize the threat of chronic inflammation – along with the consumption of psyllium husks to help absorb toxic bile.

Dr. Isaacs also advises an individualized supplement routine of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients. Pancreatic enzymes, she maintains, can help to activate the body’s defenses against cancer.

And, finally, proper detoxification – through the kidneys, colon, bladder, skin and lungs – will help to rid the body of metabolic wastes and toxins.

In many cases, Dr. Isaacs will use coffee enemas with her patients to help stimulate the liver to release accumulated bile and toxins, a very helpful process for anyone diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Isaacs recommends them at the rate of two to six per day for cancer patients – while those in remission should perform them weekly.

In addition to helping the liver work more efficiently, coffee enemas can boost the activity of glutathione S-transferase, the body’s master antioxidant. In fact, Dr. Isaacs reports that coffee enemas can increase the action of glutathione by as much as 600 to 700 percent, thereby neutralizing dangerous free radicals and allowing them to dissolve into bile and be excreted harmlessly from the large intestine.

New brain-healing bracelet uses vibration to help stroke victims recover faster

Image: New brain-healing bracelet uses vibration to help stroke victims recover faster

(Natural News)
A new brain-healing bracelet that uses vibration is being used to help speed the recovery of stroke victims. Known as TheraBracelet, the new device was developed by a group of scientists from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The scientists tested the device on 10 individuals and found that the application of the vibrations at the wrist immediately heightened the sensation of touch. In addition, when it was used on healthy people, the bracelet increased average grip and sensitivity right away. The findings indicate that the device does not only benefit stroke patients, but also healthy people. The deterioration of sensation comes with aging, which can make an individual clumsy.

“As individuals age, more pressure is required to feel touch,” the scientists said. “Many people mistake reduced sensation and the loss of motor skills as clumsiness, but in reality, their sensitivity thresholds for touch have increased.”

Right after a stroke, nine out of 10 stroke sufferers experience some form of paralysis, which is caused by damage to the part of the brain that sends electrical signals via the nervous system to make muscles moves. The paralysis typically occurs on the side of the body opposite to the side of the brain that was affected by a stroke. One of the most common effects is hand paralysis or weakness, which seriously hinders movement and independence. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 15 million people suffer from stroke worldwide every year. Of these, five million die, while another five million are permanently paralyzed.

The device should be worn for a minimum of eight hours a day. It sends vibrations that cannot be felt, but can be detected by brain. The vibrations stimulate the nerves to boost touch sensation, which in turn may aid to bring back movement. TheraBracelet works by increasing the ability of body to feel touch, which is similar to a hearing aid that amplifies sound and glasses that improves eyesight. It reactivates the nerves that control weak or paralyzed muscles, increasing signals from nerves through imperceptible vibrations to the skin, a principle known as stochastic resonance. Together with physiotherapy and hand exercises, the device could help speed up recovery.

Another trial is being conducted by the Medical University of South Carolina which involves 20 stroke patients. Among the patients, 10 will wear an active device, while the bracelets of the remaining participants will be turned off. They will wear the device for a minimum of eight hours a day within a month, then the results will be compared.

Wearable sensors may speed up recovery in stroke patients

Technological ways for helping speed up the recovery of stroke patients continue to be developed. (Related: After a stroke, brain exercise is key: Virtual reality training found to be effective supplemental therapy for regaining movement.)

Scientists from Northwestern University in the U.S. are developing wearable sensors that could help enhance the recovery of stroke patients. The sensors will continuously transmit information to doctors, which could enable them to more closely observe the efficiency of their care.

“It is almost mechanically imperceptible to the patient who is wearing the device,” said John Rogers, one of the developers of the sensors.

The technology of putting sensors on the body also allows an individual to embed all types of advanced sensor functionality, microprocessor computing capability, power supplies, and WiFi into this very unusual platform, according to Rogers. The sensors can determine which muscle groups work or not and point out the areas affected by stroke. In addition, the sensors can identify therapies to particularly improve those issues.

6 Prescription Medications That Are Killing You, Not Healing You

People these days think that pharmaceuticals and drugs are the answers to all their problems, but in reality, they are the beginning of your problems! It’s insane that the medicine prescribed to help us, actually causes much more damage – yet it’s completely legal and happens everyday.

The best idea for achieving health should be by relying on natural ingredients. Foods, and herbs. However, in a world where holistic healing has been demonized, medicine has actually become a business and healthy people equal less money for the big guys – and who wants that? Pharmaceutical drugs are actually designed to cause more problems than they fix because it ensures that you’ll keep coming back with your money! Humans have never had laboratory created drugs to depend on so why should we now? It is common sense to know that natural medicine is the only medicine that works! Just listen to the drug commercials when they read off the side effects…

Some of the most commonly prescribed drugs are also the most deadly. People are getting addicted to medications more than ever and it’s not just a coincidence; These drugs are very addicting and our bodies come to depend on them. When they’re taken away, lots of things can go wrong. Anywhere from withdrawal symptoms to straight up heart failure, you certainly don’t want to end up addicted to anything prescribed by a doctor. In fact, prescription drugs kill twice as many people as all street drugs combined… Sit on that one for a minute.

If you are prescribed medications, I sure hope none of them are one of the six below. These drugs are some of the most dangerous drugs out there and ideally the most popular. If you have these in your medication cabinet, throw them out! They cause way more harm than good.

PPI’s are also known as Proton Pump Inhibitors. They are mostly distributed for acid reflux and heartburn. You might know them by the more popular and friendly names like Nexium, Prevacid, and Prilosec. PPI’s actually do much more harm than good because they have been widely connected to kidney failure, heart attacks, and dementia.

Prednisolone is a very common steroid that is prescribed for the common flu, autoimmune conditions like arthritis, lupus, or ulcerative colitis. It activates by suppressing the immune system to start attacking itself and make you much more likely to acquire more infections. Long term use has even been connected to body fat relocation to your neck, back, and face.

Many people are on antidepressants these days, actually more people than there ever has been. If you take Prozac, Celexa, Cymbalta, or any other SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) then you take them too. According to the CDC, one in ten people over the age of twelve take an antidepressant. That’s a lot of people! They can cause low labido, nausea, anxiety, and even increase risk for suicide… doesn’t seem like a good treatment for a depressed person to me.

Statins are drugs prescribed to people to help regulate cholesterol levels. They are one of the most commonly taken drugs by Americans too. Some side effects of statins include headaches, insomnia, muscle aches, nausea, bloating, rash, gas, and diarrhea. They have even been connected to coenzyme q10 and vitamin k12 deficiencies.

Opioids are the most abused drug in the United States. Some of the most common opiate drugs are hydrocodone, oxycodone, and fentanyl. They are some of the biggest money makers for Afghan mountains because of how expensive and addictive they are. They have been known to make an addict in as little as three days! They are also known to include liver damage, brain damage, nausea and vomiting, and abdominal distention and bloating.

Alprazolam is an increasingly popular drug among young people due to the euphoric, carefree high it can supply you with. It is commonly referred to as xanax and is extremely addictive. It is one of the few substances out there that can actually result in death from withdrawals. It’s a benzodiazepine medication for short term management on anxiety and sleep disorders. However, it can lead to majorly negative health consequences such as severe addiction, respiratory arrest, coma, and death.

Repairing immunity – The key to healing

Image: Repairing immunity – The key to healing

(Natural News)
The rise of “superbugs” – antibiotic-resistant microbes such as MRSA – has been labeled a public health crisis by the World Health Organization. Meanwhile, healthcare costs continue to rise – while chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and autoimmune disorders increase – at an alarming rate. Clearly, Western medicine has failed at addressing these issues.

But, according to a well-known leader in the field of integrative medicine, Russell Jaffe, MD, PhD, CCN, the solution is quite simple. Strong immunity, says Dr. Jaffe, is the best defense against any disease condition – and the ‘key to healing’ and optimal health.

Discover the best ways to evaluate and improve your immunity. On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and award-winning scientist Dr. Russell Jaffe talk about a drug-free, evidence-based natural protocol for repairing weakened, overburdened immune system function and restoring health. If you are concerned about the daily threats to your life from environmental toxins – especially if you suffer with an autoimmune condition, diet hypersensitivities or any other chronic disease – you won’t want to miss this life-changing program.

The ‘alkaline state’ supports immunity and the ability to avoid serious health problems

The body seeks to maintain a slightly alkaline pH of 7.35 in the bloodstream, reports Dr. Jaffe. Even a small move towards a more acidic state makes us vulnerable to disease.

In fact, Dr. Jaffe maintains that acidity triggers a startling range of chronic diseases – including autoimmune disorders, premature aging, heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis and kidney disease. High blood pressure, hormone imbalances, joint pain, and yeast and fungal overgrowth are also attributable to acidity.

Of course, the ‘Standard American Diet’ – featuring excessive quantities of processed foods, conventionally-raised meat, dairy and eggs, white sugar, soda, coffee and tea, along with alcohol and artificial sweeteners – make the body more acidic.

The answer, says Dr. Jaffe, is to follow the “Alkaline Way,” a diet high in what he calls the “life-ly foods” – loaded with fresh (organic) foods that promote deep immune system healing by creating a healthy state of alkalinity.

Benefits of a more alkaline body pH include reduced risk of infections and illness time; improved digestion and nutrient absorption; more restful sleep and better resistance to yeast overgrowth and parasitic infestation. Other bonuses include enhanced motivation, inspiration and emotional well-being.

Wheat is linked with autoimmune problems – but tasty alternatives exist

For many, wheat is a cause of allergic and hypersensitive reactions. The proteins in wheat are gut irritants that can cause inflammation and contribute to intestinal permeability – a dangerous condition that allows toxins and particles of undigested food to enter the bloodstream.

Although celiac disease is the extreme form of wheat intolerance, it is possible to suffer adverse reactions from wheat without having the condition. Many people with non-celiac gluten sensitivity have autoimmune markers in their blood – suggesting that wheat can cause autoimmune problems even when no celiac disease exists.

No doubt, for many people, wheat can be hard to avoid. It’s found in a dizzying array of breads, pastas and commercial baked goods, and may also “sneak in” under cover of various names — such as durum, enriched white flour, unbleached white flour, semolina, bulgur wheat, vegetable starch and modified food starch.

However, Dr. Jaffe notes that good wheat substitutes are abundant – and include satisfyingly-filling vegetables such as parsnip and spaghetti squash.

If you are in doubt as to what you can safely eat, Dr. Jaffe recommends an LRA (lymphocyte response assay) by the ELISA/ACT test to identify which specific grains you should avoid. On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, Dr. Jaffe will reveal his comprehensive plan for improving immune function. Don’t miss it!

Animated Short Reveals The Dark Complexities Of Healing Our Broken Society

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

In-Shadows is a Masterful short film from Lubomir Arsov which touches on wage slavery, sexual depravity, the pharmaceutical culture and societies attempt to turn us into mindless consumers. The incredibly powerful short film is disturbing, enlightening and motivating to heal our broken relationship with ourselves and the planet.

The film starts with the opening of a box which seems to represent the planet and a broader box than the western world is currently living in.

The film then enters the shadows of modern day society

In- Shadow Full Film

The films powerful imagery touches on boxes we have allowed to be placed upon ourselves

The unreasonable work expectations we need to keep up with to maintain any “quality” of life

The glorification of alcohol

And sexual depravity

The pharmaceutical culture that has become the norm

And indoctrination by the schooling of our children

The big hitting imagery continues with the money worshiping consumerist ideology

The film touches on many dark worldly issues, but then something beautiful happens:

The divine masculine and feminine rise up, in what would be the ideal solution to the madness which is our broken society.

An empowered society would never tolerate the current condition we have placed upon ourselves.

We are powerful! We are one! We rise together in love!
