WATCH: Congressman Ominously Warns BOTH Parties Quietly Plotting to Take Your Guns

gun controlgun control

The same congressman who warned in late 2017 that the United States government was waiting for the next mass shooting in order to pass sweeping gun control measures, is now claiming that those measures could be passed in the next week, but they will be slipped into a larger bill.

Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie warned that while members of Congress have suggested raising the legal age to buy guns or banning certain firearms, the real legislation is much worse, and it could be passed as early as next week.

“We’ve got about a week to act,” Massie said in a video he shared on social media. “I want to let you know what’s going on in Congress as far as gun control goes. You’ve heard a lot of ideas floating in the news—raising the legal age to buy a long gun, for instance—or a new assault weapons ban. Any number of bad things have been mentioned. But I wanted to boil it down for you.”

Massie referenced comments he made in December, when he warned of the provisions included in H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which states that its purpose was to amend the federal criminal code to allow a qualified individual to carry a concealed handgun into or possess a concealed handgun in another state that allows individuals to carry concealed firearms.”

Packaged with that bill was H.R. 4477, the Fix NICS Act, which would amend the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to “require each federal agency and department, including a federal court, to certify whether it has provided to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) disqualifying records of persons prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm.”

Massie noted that the Senate is proposing an almost identical version of the Fix NICS Act, which has been cosponsored by Senators Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer—both extreme gun control advocates. It will allocate $625 million to expand the national background check database and will advance former President Obama’s goal to pressure other government agencies into increasing the number of names in the NICS database that are banned from gun purchases.

What you don’t know, and what virtually no one in Washington wants you to know, is that House leadership plans to merge the Fix NICS bill with popular Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation, HR 38, and pass both of them with a single vote,” Massie said in December.

While it may seem like they are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the Second Amendment, it appears that both Democrats and Republicans are working together to advance this legislation. The Fix NICS Act was originally introduced on Nov. 16, 2017, as H.R. 4434 and it was sponsored by Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar. Then on Nov. 29, 2017, an identical version of the bill with language added to commission a bump-stock study was introduced as H.R. 4477 and it was sponsored by Republican Rep. John Abney Culberson.

Massie noted that while there are a number of glaring problems with the Fix NICS Act, one of the most alarming is that “it compels administrative agencies, not just courts, to adjudicate your second amendment rights.”

“The bill encourages administrative agencies, not the courts, to submit more names to a national database that will determine whether you can or can’t obtain a firearm. When President Obama couldn’t get Congress to pass gun control, he implemented a strategy of compelling, through administrative rules, the Veterans Administration and the Social Security Administration to submit lists of veterans and seniors, many of whom never had a day in court, to be included in the NICS database of people prohibited from owning a firearm. Only a state court, a federal (article III) court, or a military court, should ever be able to suspend your rights for any significant period of time.”

Congress is now attempting to pass the Fix NICS Act by including it in H.R. 4909, the STOP School Violence Act, which it plans to pass next week. Massie warned that the constituents who call their representatives and express support for “stopping school violence,” will unknowingly offer their support for a bill that could allow unqualified government agencies to take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

GOP Congressman Exposed as Cowardly ‘Self-Serving Traitor’ on ‘Designated Survivor’

When it comes to liberal shows, the rule of thumb seems to be that no matter how bad the situation is, Republicans are still the worst. Even in a life-threatening scenario, Republicans can always find a way to make it worse. ABC’s Designated Survivor takes this to an extreme with a Republican congressman in a disastrous hostage situation on foreign soil.

The February 28 winter premiere “Grief” features President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) sending delegates to Cuba to potentially broker a trade negotiation despite the tension between the two nations.

Among the delegates are FBI agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q), National Security Advisor Aaron Shore (Adan Canto), a congressman, and a wealthy business man. It is Congressman Blutner, in particular, who stands out by being obnoxious and openly criticizing the president (who is an Independent) and, just to make it clear that the blowhard is a Republican, he spouts random lines about taxes, prisons and aircraft carriers.

Blutner: Yeah, my Florida district is 32% Cuban, so I had to take this trip. That doesn’t mean I support the president’s failed policies. We need lower taxes. More prisons. More aircraft carriers. Not some president who suddenly can’t make up his mind.

Hannah: If that guy doesn’t shut his trap, I’m going to shoot him.

Blutner: Kirkman, the Un-decider, that’s what we should call him.

Aaron: Hey, congressman. If you’re feeding off the president’s trough, why don’t you just ease up on the criticism?

Blutner: No offense, Aaron. I just call it them like I see them.

Aaron: Call them somewhere else. Please, this is a trade mission, not a campaign stop. [ Chuckles ] How was that?

Hannah: I still think I should shoot him.

Charming guy.

Before they reach their destination, however, they are taken hostage and held for ransom by local Cuban rebels supposedly for their connection to the United States government and its support of Cuban President Ortega.

The situation looks tense as Hannah attempts to sneak her way around the guards. In the face of this stressful situation, the cowardly congressman shows his true, American-betraying colors by trying to negotiate for his own life by disavowing the president.

Blutner: You know, I never voted with Tom Kirkman for anything. You can look it up. I’m one of his fiercest critics. I’m here for Cuba, not Ortega. And unlike Kirkman, I believe in the rule of the people.

Aaron: Unlike President Kirkman? You son of a bitch!

Guard: Hey! Hey! No, come on!

Blutner: Try to understand! This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about!

Aaron: I’m going to make sure the president knows what a self-serving traitor you are!

Guard: Shut up and sit down, man!

Then the episode reveals that another favorite target of Designated Survivor, the evil billionaire business man, is a traitor who worked to set up the hostage situation so he could secure land rights in Cuba. Even then, he doesn’t receive half the scorn the sniveling pseudo-Republican receives in this episode. That’s not a big surprise since the show notoriously has a low opinion of Republican representatives, but having one of the protagonists talk about wanting to shoot the congressman and turning him into an actual coward and potential traitor seems to be going a bit too far. I’m anxious to see where they go next.

Staunch Anti-Prostitute Congressman Busted Using Taxpayer Money to Buy Escort

When it comes to the government, in general, the notion of ‘do as I say, not as I do’ rings true through every level, from the parking transit officer to the president.

Hypocrisy is a function of the state.

The citizens of the US are often reminded of this hypocrisy when members of the government commit such heinously criminal and hypocritical acts that they are cast out from their curtain of government protection.

The most recent case of government hypocrisy comes from a Utah lawmaker, who has been devoting much of his career to making sure sex workers suffer if they are caught by police. The staunch advocate of tougher penalties for prostitution, however, was just busted using taxpayer money to pay for hotel rooms to have sex with prostitutes.

The quoted call girl Brie Taylor saying former GOP Rep. Jon Stanard paid her $250 for sex at least twice at the Fairfield Inn in Salt Lake City.

In one particular exchange, Taylor asks Stanard if she should bring any ‘accessories’ or ‘toys’, perhaps a ‘corset’, reported the news site.

As the Mail notes:

The conservative politician was elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 2012 and has three children with his wife LeeAnne. Last year, 43-year-old Stanard, of St. George, Utah, voted in favor of stricter laws on prostitution, including increasing the penalty for soliciting sex to $2,500.

Hypocrite, indeed.

In spite of claiming on his website that he is a “strong advocate for conservative family values. I am pro life, as well as for traditional marriage,” it appears that like many politicians, Stanard says one thing and does another.

As the text messages show—which was confirmed to by the actual phone number listed on his public profile on the Utah House of Representatives website—this hypocrite met with Taylor twice while pushing for laws that would’ve punished his companion even harder if they would’ve been caught in the act.

House chief of staff Greg Hartley told the Associated Press that the married Stanard — who resigned Tuesday night — was reimbursed for two hotel stays while he was attending legislative meetings at the state capital.

“It looks like they were legislative days,” GOP House Speaker Greg Hughes said.

In typical government fashion, Hughes said that he is not sure if they will require Stanard to pay back the money he spent getting a prostitute.

“If there has been an abuse of public funds or if public funds were used in a way that’s inappropriate, we would,” he said. “I don’t have solid answers for those things. I would need to have a way that I would know conclusively that that is the case.”

Stanard’s attorney Walter Bugden told the “Given the current climate in this country with misconduct allegations and the way things are happening in the media right now, there isn’t any explanation that my client could give that would overcome the shadow of these allegations.

“He has resigned his office.”

Naturally, Stanard is claiming he stepped down for family reasons and not because he was busted hypocritically hiring a prostitute while simultaneously trying to bury them in debt and prison.

As TFTP has previously reported, in the Land of the Free, it is against the law to get paid to have sex, unless that sex is filmed, distributed on DVD, and taxed. One of the least talked about systems of oppression in the US is that of persecuting prostitutes.

When referencing prostitution, we are talking about the mutually beneficial exchange of sexual favors for money by two or more consenting partners; not forced human trafficking.

Just like the war on drugs creates crime by pushing the unending demand for illicit substances into the black market, the war on the sex trade creates crime in the same manner.

Because the demand for sex is pushed into dark alleys and late night street corners, a woman working in the sex trade becomes far more vulnerable than if they were legally allowed to operate out of brick and mortar setups. This danger of working on the street drives the need for protection from pimps who are often more abusive than any customer would be.

Despite the tens of thousands of arrests each year, the market has found a way to provide the service of sex using safer solutions. In spite of the laws, sellers of sex have found ways to safely conduct business by setting up “massage” parlors, using phone books, and, of course, the internet.

Besides being an immoral gang of thieves, the state is also relentless. They have deep pockets of extorted tax dollars of which to dig in to enforce their distorted will on the people.

Despite prostitution arrests dropping from 2001 to 2010, the cost of arresting people for sex remains staggeringly high. Individual cities continue to spend up to $23 million a year stopping people from having voluntary sex.

Meanwhile, involuntary sex goes uninvestigated at an alarming rate. Hundreds of thousands of rape kits are sitting in police departments across the country — collecting dust, as cops petition the government to allow them to have sex with prostitutes so they can then bust them.

WATCH: Republican Congressman Admits Drug War HELPS Cartels, Slams Weed ‘Witch Hunt’

'witch hunt''witch hunt'

While the federal government still blindly refuses to acknowledge that cannabis has any medicinal value, not all of its employees are fooled into believing the lie that legalizing the plant will do more to harm the public than what has been done under the guise of the “War on Drugs.”

Congressman Carlos Curbelo, a Republican from Florida, took to Twitter to call out Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ war on cannabis in states that have voted to legalize it. He noted that by supporting interference from federal agencies, Sessions is proving that he has no respect for states’ right.

“The Attorney General’s witch hunt against legally-operating, state-regulated marijuana businesses in states like Florida favors drug dealers and cartels operating ILLEGALLY and hurts LEGAL small business owners’ ability to compete,” Curbelo wrote. “Our government must respect states’ rights.”

While cannabis is legal for medicinal use in 29 states and the District of Columbia, and a recent poll found that its legalization is now supported by 86 percent of Americans, Sessions started 2018 by showing that he does not care about what the overwhelming majority of the country wants.

The attorney general is rescinding a policy that keeps federal prosecutors from aggressively enforcing federal law in states where cannabis is legal. The Associated Press reported that Sessions’ policy “will let U.S. attorneys across the country decide what kinds of federal resources to devote to marijuana enforcement based on what they see as priorities in their districts.”

As has been the case with the War on Drugs since its inception, such a policy could be used by U.S. attorneys to target low-income cannabis users in states such as Colorado and California, while ignoring wealthy cannabis users—even though both groups were using the plant legally in their respective states.

The Tweet from Rep. Curbelo included a clip from his speech on the House floor, in which he stated that he is concerned about how Sessions’ policies will affect small businesses legally selling cannabis in his home state of Florida:

“The voices and the votes of my constituents, Mr. Speaker, matter. The Tenth Amendment [to] the Constitution matters. And for those who like to call themselves constitutionalists, the entire Constitution has to matter—not just the parts that are convenient at a given time. In addition to the witch hunt opened up by the attorney general’s actions last week… federal law also prohibits these businesses from deducting the common expenses associated with running a small business when they file their taxes. Expenses necessary to running a business like rent, most utilities and payroll. Simply put, this rule places legitimate enterprises, which have been established under state law, at a major competitive disadvantage where legal employers are paying exorbitantly higher effective tax rates.”

The congressman then noted that it was for this reason that he introduced the Small Business Tax Equity Act in March 2017. The bipartisan bill seeks to amend the tax code to allow legally operating marijuana businesses to utilize common tax deductions and credits.

“The federal government should not be ignoring states’ rights and the decisions of voters and state legislatures across the country,” Curbelo said. “We must work to afford all businesses selling legal products the opportunity to make appropriate deductions and contribute to our economy to create jobs.”

Curbelo concluded by saying that he believes the best allies illegal drug cartels have are the policies of politicians such as Jeff Sessions.

While Sessions has tried to argue that legalizing cannabis increases violence, the opposite is true. A recent study published in The Economic Journal revealed that the rate of violent crime, which includes robberies, murders, and aggravated assaults, decreased by at least 12.5 percent in counties near the border between the U.S. and Mexico, following the introduction of medical marijuana laws.

Cannabis has also helped to stimulate the economy in the states where it is legalized, and if the government actually chose to act in favor of the American people by legalizing the plant, it shows the potential to have a significant effect on the entire country.

In Colorado, legalizing cannabis has actually helped to decrease opioid-related deaths, reversing a decade of rising deaths plaguing the state. Cannabis legalization has also helped to fix the state’s crumbling schools, and for the second year in a row,  $40 million from taxes on legal cannabis sales went to a program to repair and replace rundown schools in 2017.

WATCH: Congressman Says He Has ‘Credible Evidence’ ‘Terrorists’ Involved in Vegas Massacre

The Vegas massacre, which is now being referred to as 1 October, has only gotten stranger as things progress. As TFTP reported on Thursday, the police have just entirely contradicted themselves and released information that there are multiple suspects in the shooting. Adding even more mystery to the already muddy waters of this tragedy, however, on Thursday, Republican lawmaker Scott Perry (R-PA) told reporter Tucker Carlson he has evidence ISIS may be involved in the deadly attack.

During the interview, Perry said that he was recently given credible evidence to suggest that Islamic State forces infiltrated the southern US border and were somehow involved in this incident.

“Recently I’ve been made aware of what I believe to be credible evidence regarding potential terrorist infiltration through the southern border regarding this incident… Twice before the attack ISIS warned the United States they would attack Las Vegas. In June and August. And then after the attack claimed responsibility four times… Something’s not adding up… I’m just telling you I have received what I feel to be and believe to be credible evidence of a possible terrorist nexus…”

As TFTP noted in October, the day after the shooting, the Islamic State immediately claimed responsibility for the violence.

According to the Independent:

A statement published by the group’s Amaq propaganda agency claimed the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic State”.

“The Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State in response to calls to target coalition countries,” it said.

In a second statement, Isis claimed the gunman “converted to Islam several months ago”.

The wording of the release is similar to other attacks that have been inspired, rather than directed, by Isis.

The claim, which cannot be independently verified, came days after Isis released a speech purporting to be from the group’s leader.

Adding to the credibility of the ISIS claim, the group released a propaganda video last year, calling for lone wolf attackers—and featuring footage of the Las Vegas Strip, that they took in 2015.

The 44-minute long video called on its supporters to conduct attacks with any weapons they could find. It also featured footage of New York City and Washington D.C.

As TFTP reported in November, the predictions of attacks in New York also took place.

The video’s release prompted police in Las Vegas to go on high alert. This alert was still ongoing when the shooting took place.

As Newsweek reported, the FBI’s Las Vegas field office told Fox News in a statement following the video’s publication that it was working with “international law enforcement, intelligence, and security services agencies to share information and intelligence.”

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said: “We are always concerned when Las Vegas is mentioned by groups or individuals who subscribe to the idea of committing violence to further their cause.

“Our city has been mentioned in similar videos and publications but this most recent video should serve as a reminder to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.”

Naturally, this claim by ISIS could very well be lies and propaganda as an attempt to sew discord as they use this senseless violence to their advantage. However, when an actual Congressman comes forward, it may be time to pay attention.
