Innocent 84yo Grandmother Assaulted by Police as They Did a Welfare Check on Her Neighbor

Mesa, AZ — A family has just learned the hard way what calling police to help a relative can often look like as their grandmother is now in the hospital after a welfare check. Showing their incompetence, the welfare check was for another family member but the police assaulted the innocent grandmother anyway.

Ashlee Hahn detailed the alleged assault in a dramatic Facebook post which showed the extent of her grandmother’s injuries. Hahn’s grandmother was hurt so bad during the check that she had to be hospitalized.

According to Hahn, her grandmother “is recovering from her fourth stroke and is confused, cognitively impaired & barely physically able to stand on her own because of uncontrollable shaking.”

Hahn’s mother had called in a welfare check for a different family who lived on her grandmother’s property. Police were even given specific instructions not to disturb the 84-year-old.

“The police were called to her residence for a wellness check for a close family member who lives on her property,” explained Hahn. “They were specifically asked not to bother or question my grandmother because of her present and very fragile state.”

In spite of telling them to steer clear, however, police did the exact opposite.

“They forced her out of her home into the street, holding her arms tight enough to leave bruises and bleeding,” wrote Hahn. “Her inability to hold still (because of her previous strokes, as seen in uploaded videos) inclined them to slam her down, head first on the asphalt. They handcuffed her after she woke from her unconscious state.”

When Hahn’s grandmother woke up, she was in the hospital, bloodied and bruised. Police then immediately began conducting damage control.

“After seeing the damage they had done & sending my Grandmother off in an ambulance, they called my Mother (who made the original wellness check call) and told her that my Grandmother “slipped,” Hahn explained.

To try and alleviate their liability, an officer was sent, not to check on an elderly grandmother who’d just been the subject of a savage attack, but, instead, to defend their fellow cop and his choice to inflict harm on an innocent old lady.

“The officer who came down to the hospital only seemed to care about deflecting & defending the officers involved. No accountability. No apologies,” Hahn wrote.

What’s more, to try to legitimize the attack on an innocent grandmother, police then charged her with obstruction.

Hahn filmed part of the interaction with the officer in the hospital as he defended his fellow cop’s decision to needlessly confront her (against the family’s wishes) and then violently throw her to the ground.

“Why did he put me down on the asphalt?” asked the innocent elderly woman.

“It is my understanding when I spoke to the officer, that you pulled away from him a little bit and he took action like that, okay?” the officer callously explains of how his fellow officer could somehow rationalize assaulting an innocent grandmother.

Pulling away from an officer “a little bit” in the land of the free will now apparently result in innocent elderly women being thrown to the ground.

“I said don’t treat me like this. I don’t want to have a stroke,” the innocent grandmother says as she shakes in her hospital bed. “I don’t want to have a heart attack. Don’t treat me this way.”

But he did and now an innocent elderly woman is facing charges because of some arrogant cop who thinks his authority grants him permission to abuse grandmothers.

According to Hahn, her grandmother is “traumatized & feels untrusting of the people who she thought would protect her.”

Hahn has a message for the Mesa Police Department as well.

“If this was your grandmother, what would you do? Mesa police department needs to be held accountable.”

Indeed, they do.

Ben Swann’s “Reality Check” is Back and It’s All Thanks to Cryptocurrency

Ben Swann’s hit series “Reality Check” disappeared from the airwaves last year causing quite a stir. Conspiracy theories abounded about how he was taken out for reporting the truth when, in reality (no pun intended), he was canceled because he challenged the status quo.

Over the years, Swann has helped to expose everything from the vile nature of the DEA’s war on medical cannabis to the fake Russian hacking conspiracy theory pushed by the mainstream media.

Swann spoke truth to power and truth is always a threat to the establishment which will use any means necessary to silence those who expose their crimes. Swann was temporarily silenced. Now, however, he is back and it’s all thanks to cryptocurrency.

It’s not just any cryptocurrency, however, it is the Dash coin.

As Dash Force News reports, according to Swann, a long-term fan, and user of cryptocurrency, Dash has risen above the pack because of its unique features:

“I have been an advocate for cryptocurrencies as well as the blockchain for years (since 2013) and when I was made aware of the Dash treasury, I was intrigued
beyond that, the more I learned about Dash as digital cash, as well as the [InstantSend] technology, I believe that Dash is poised to excel beyond other altcoins because it is technologically superior.”

Using the Dash Treasury, holders of Dash formed a partnership with Swann to fund the production of his show.

As Joël Valenzuela points out:

The Reality Check relaunch proposal ranks as one of the largest to date in Dash’s history. The show previously reached many millions of viewers, and Swann remains confident that similar results will be achievable with the relaunch. Dash will be the sole sponsor of Reality Check during this new iteration, which will include syndicated videos across other networks, as well as physical appearances by Swann and his team at several cryptocurrency and blockchain events and conferences. Additionally, Dash will serve as the sole sponsor of the Truth in Media website, including co-branded merchandise.

The proposal was launched in December over the holidays, and generated a significant amount of buzz and discussion, including a flurry of questions from the community. Included in these questions was a call for assurance that the Dash network had some sort of guarantee that Swann and his team would be able to deliver, especially since Dash’s funding mechanism is purely protocol-level and does not include any traditional assurance of delivery from contractors such as a legal contract. Swann improvised by drawing up a legal contract with the Dash masternode network as signatories, with a successful “yes” vote to be considered a binding signature, in a unique way of forming a business partnership, according to Swann:

“The experience of seeking the funding was stressful, but we actually approached Dash in a way that no one ever has before, including the creation of a digital contract that utilized blockchain transactions as signatures.”

The ability of a decentralized currency to fund an alternative media production speaks to the power of cryptocurrencies and paves the way for a bright future in spite of the government and tech giant crackdown and censorship we are seeing today.

As Dash Force News points out, Dash is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), and because of its completely decentralized structure, anyone can participate in its ecosystem without seeking permission from any one person or group of people. Because of this, there is no centralized organization that can be intimidated into cutting funding for controversial media, but rather a broad network of thousands of anonymous investors who can fund whatever projects they see fit without fear.

Using Dash to fund the operation, episodes will get massive exposure and will be uploaded to Facebook, YouTube, DTube, LBRY, Amazon Prime, Roku, embedded on Steemit and News Websites.

Thanks to crypto technology and the blockchain, the future is indeed bright. As Swann notes:

“It was an intense process to deal with so many people simultaneously but it was also exhilarating to be part of something so groundbreaking. To fund a media project entirely with crypto demonstrates the power of this currency goes far beyond just financial… it is changing power structures in many industries.”

Reality check: The Sun is cooling faster than anyone suspected – and lowering Earth’s temperature along with it

sun cooling

The danger from the Global Warming crowd is that they are misleading the entire world and preventing us from what is dangerously unfolding that sparks the rapid decline in civilization – GLOBAL COOLING. I previously warned that this is not my opinion, but simply our computer. If it were really conscious it would be running to store to buy heating pads. This year will be much colder for Europe than the last three. It will also be cold in the USA. We are in a global cooling period and all the data we have in our computer system warns that the earth is turning cold not warm.

This cooling is very serious. This decline in the energy output of the sun will manifest in a commodity boom in agriculture as shortages send food prices higher. We will see famine begin to rise as crops fail and that will inspire disease and plagues. We will see the first peak in agricultural prices come probably around 2024 after the lows are established on this cycle. We have been warning that this rise would begin AFTER 2017.

Previously, I have reported that NASA confirmed we are going into a cooling period – not warming. They have put out a forecast of declining sunspot activity. Now NASA has come out confirming what our computer has been forecasting. They have reported that as the sun is experiencing a rapid decline in sunspots, it is also dimming in brightness or energy output. NASA’s Spaceweather station has recorded during 2017, 96 days (27%) of observing the sun have been completely absent of sunspots.

I have also previously warned that there is a 300-year cycle to this entire phenomenon. This cycle has aligned with the major turning point of the Economic Confidence Model 2015.75. During 2015, there were ZERO days observed without sunspots. The following year, 2016, came in with 9% of the days recorded without any sunspot activity. This jump to 27% here in 2017 is a substantial jump from 2015 that we cannot afford to ignore.

NASA launched a new sensor which is the International Space Station named TSIS-1. Its mission is to actually measure the dimming of the sun’s irradiance. It will replace the aging SORCE spacecraft and NASA has confirmed our computer forecast that the number of sunspots in this cycle will fall rapidly as it plunges into a date with its 11-year cycle minimum.

influenza 1918

There was a sharp climate drop in 1916 creating a spike low in temperature. This 1916 spike low in our climate coincided with war and made this a devastating war aside from the poison gas. This was then combined with terrible influenza or flu pandemic of 1918 to 1919, which was the deadliest in modern history. This pandemic infected an estimated 500 million people worldwide or about one-third of the entire planet’s population. It killed an estimated 20 to 50 million victims.

This pandemic began in the spring of 1917 and some sources point to troops in France as being the center of the pandemic. A significant precursor virus, harbored in birds, mutated to pigs that were kept near the front. Others place it with troops in Austria. Nevertheless, influenza ran from mid-1917, became noticeable by January 1918, and continued into December 1920. The unusually deadly influenza pandemic shortened the overall life expectancy by 12 years. This influenza killed the strong rather than the weak since it thrived on the overreaction of the body’s immune system. The strong immune reactions of young adults fed the virus, whereas the weaker immune systems of children and middle-aged adults resulted in fewer deaths, which was very unusual.

sunspot graph

Across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, the sun’s output is declining. I personally hate cold. So this is not a forecast I want to see happen. Nevertheless, our computer has correlated this cooling trend with disease and it appears that famine also plays a role in this entire event. Additionally, a simple correlation with the energy output of the sun reveals that all major earthquakes occurred during strong solar minimums, which we are head smack into.

Consequently, there were 7 major earthquakes of 8.0 magnitude moving into the turning point in 2008-2010. Kiril Islands (Russia) twice- 8.1 (November 2006 & January 2007), Peru-8.0 (August 2007), Sumatra-8.5 (September 2007), Sichuan earthquake-8.0 (May 2008), Samoa-8.1 (September 2009), Maule (Chile)-8.8 (February 2010).

There are ways you can prepare. But do prepare. Do not wait until the very last second.

Anthropologists discover how teeth reveal vitamin D levels: X-rays can now be used to check for deficiency

Image: Anthropologists discover how teeth reveal vitamin D levels: X-rays can now be used to check for deficiency

(Natural News)
We often take care of our oral health to make sure that our breath stays fresh, but did you know that dental X-rays can be used to determine vitamin D deficiencies (rickets)?

While this is a grave health concern that often goes undiagnosed, Lori D’Ortenzio and Megan Brickley, anthropologists from McMaster Universityhave revealed that it can be determined with a dental X-ray.

In an earlier study, D’Ortenzio, Brickley, et al. established that human teeth can present “a detailed and permanent record of serious Vitamin D deficiency.” With dental X-rays, experts can examine this record, which comes from microscopic deformities in dentin, one of the four major tissues that make up the bulk of teeth.

This data can be the key to fully grasping the exact moment when individuals were deprived of our primary source of vitamin D — sunlight. Researchers can even use this data to verify the vitamin D levels of people who lived more than a hundred years ago. Enamel preserves this record because it can prevent teeth from breaking down. The same can’t be said for bones, which can decay. (Related: Vitamin D: How to Determine Your Optimal Dose.)

However, there’s a catch: experts must cut open a tooth to interpret the patterns which reveal an individual’s “vitamin D record.” Since the source of post-mortem teeth available for study is finite, the scientists tried to devise a method of isolating teeth “for further study.”

Through dental X-rays, scientists can study the “readily observable” patterns of pulp horns or the dark shadow that can be seen in the middle of the image of a tooth. This “consistent, recognizable pattern” is helpful since experts can use it to look into archaeological teeth, and it can also help living individuals determine if they have a vitamin D deficiency.

D’Ortenzio, a Ph.D. candidate in anthropology and the lead author of the paper, says that their discovery came about while they were looking for “a non-destructive method” that can leave their limited specimens intact while also revealing the presence of a deficiency. In a healthy individual, pulp shape mirrors “an arch topped by two cat ears.” In people with a severe vitamin D deficiency, pulp shape “is asymmetrical and constricted, and typically looks like the profile of a hard-backed chair.”

In an earlier study, D’Ortenzio and Brickley stumbled upon this “recognizable pattern.” After analyzing both historic and current teeth, they confirmed that “X-ray images are consistent and reliable indicators of prior deficiency.”

Brickley, a Professor of Anthropology who holds the Canada Research Chair in the Bioarchaeology of Human Disease, concludes that this discovery is a significant one since “it has the potential to contribute to modern health care as well.”

Vitamin D deficiencies have grave consequences, especially regarding bone health, and this reliable way of identifying the presence of the disorder can thwart further damage to one’s health. Once a regular dental X-ray isolates a problem, some blood tests can determine “an ongoing deficiency.”

The researchers shared that this data can make it easier to determine whether children with growing bones have vitamin D deficiencies or not. Detecting this health concern early on can help patients stave off serious “future problems with Vitamin-D related bone deficiency.” With this knowledge, it will be easier to figure out the best way to protect ourselves from harmful UV rays while also ensuring that we get enough sunlight ” to maintain a healthy level” of vitamin D.

Natural sources of vitamin D

Make sure you’re getting enough vitamin D by incorporating more of the following foods in your diet:

  • Oysters – Oysters are low in calories and full of nutrients.
  • Shrimp – Unlike other seafood sources of vitamin D, shrimp is very low in fat.
  • Egg yolks – The bulk of the protein in an egg is in the egg white, but the fat, vitamins, and minerals are found mostly in the egg yolk.

These Cities Are Suing The Pentagon Over 'Deadly Gaps' In America's Gun-Check System

The cities of New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco are suing the U.S. Department of Defense over its legal failure to report service member crimes to the FBI and national gun background check database, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

For decades, the Pentagon has defied federal laws intended to keep firearms away from criminals like Devin Patrick Kelley, The New York Times notes. The 26-year-old was convicted of domestic assault before he purchased a rifle and killed dozens of people in Texas in November. Felonies and domestic violence convictions legally prohibit gun ownership.

The democrat-led cities’ lawsuit now seeks to prevent more “senseless carnage” by requiring the Defense Department to fix other “deadly gaps” in the background check database and comply with existing reporting laws under federal court supervision, according to Reuters. It was filed Friday in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said his city “relies on this reporting when making the crucial decision whether a license-to-carry applicant should be permitted to carry a firearm.”

“We’re joining in this suit because reporting these records is absolutely critical to those decisions,” he said in a statement. “The background check system only works if it contains the proper records.”

Municipal law enforcement authorities use the FBI’s database to conduct background checks on gun permit applications.

Just weeks ago, the Air Force revealed that dozens of its service members with criminal histories were never reported as required, per the Times. The service branch disclosed earlier in November that it had never alerted the FBI to criminal charges against Kelley, a former airman, who was court-martialed and sentenced to a year in military prison for assaulting his wife and stepson.

Kelley was later released from the military with a bad conduct discharge. The massacre he unleashed at a church in Sutherland Springs on Nov. 5 was the deadliest in Texas history.

Together, the cities will “stand up to the Department of Defense and demand they comply with the law and repair their drastically flawed system,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. “This failure on behalf of the Department of Defense has led to the loss of innocent lives by putting guns in the hands of criminals and those who wish to cause immeasurable harm.”

A spokesperson at the Defense Department declined to comment to HuffPost, saying the Pentagon does not comment on pending litigation.

New York Times’ Latest Flimsy ‘Fact-Check’ on Trump ‘Deceit’ Falls Flat on Its Face

New York Times “fact-checker” Linda Qiu’s latest lame “gotcha” attempt against President Trump appeared under a strongly hostile headline, “Deceit and Confusion In Talk on Law and Order.” It comes on the heels of a backfired Times investigation — a graph purporting to compare the lies of Donald Trump (103 after 10 months in office) and Barack Obama (just 18 during eight full years).

Qiu has previously used a misleading argument to falsely slam a defense of gun rights as “spurious.”

On Saturday, she focused on four alleged Trump falsehoods on Saturday, two of which aren’t actually false, and the other two of which are sufficiently vague as to avoid classification entirely:

At a ceremony on Friday honoring police officers and sheriffs, President Trump praised the courage and devotion of law enforcement — and presented a not entirely accurate picture of the difficult conditions they face.

In the morning, before speaking at the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico, Va., Mr. Trump lamented the reputation of the bureau. Then, as he addressed police officers who graduated from the academy’s training program, he claimed that they and the bureau’s agents were “great people” and “heroes for all of us.”

The about-face kicked off a series of misleading statements Mr. Trump made about crime, his predecessor and immigration. Here’s an assessment.

[Editorial note: For the sake of clarity, numerals and italics have been added to Qiu’s four topics.]

1. He asked “what the hell is going on in Chicago,” where most types of violent crime have declined since last year.

Mr. Trump spoke of “the steepest two-year consecutive increase in murders in nearly half a century” in 2015 and 2016, and focused on Chicago.

“What the hell is going on in Chicago? What the hell is happening there?” he said, before offering a sobering statistic. “For the second year in a row, a person was shot in Chicago every three hours.”

The national murder rate climbed 20 percent from 2014 to 2016, the highest two-year increase since the 1960s. The steep rise concerned many criminologists. But the murder rate itself was far higher over all in the 1990s.

Did Trump say it wasn’t higher in the 1990s? No. Trump told nothing but the truth, but Qiu comes armed with useless context: that since 2017 is on track to have a decline in shootings from 2016, Trump’s point about Chicago’s high murder rate is somehow misleading.

In 2016, Chicago experienced its most violent year in nearly two decades, but Mr. Trump’s points require some context and updating.

The Chicago Tribune tracks shootings in the city and has reported that 3,429 people have been shot so far this year, as of Dec. 9. That does amount to the shooting of at least one person every three hours….

So Trump was right? Not so fast.

Shootings have declined 21 percent from the same period last year, according to the Chicago Police Department’s most recent crime report. Murder has declined 15 percent and aggravated battery 8 percent, while robbery has not changed and sexual assault has increased 12 percent.

Trump not including the Chicago Police Department’s most recent report for 2017 (which isn’t even over yet) does not make it a falsehood for him to state that the murder rate was historically high in 2015 and 2016. So why would Qiu suggest Turmp was wrong?

2. He misleadingly claimed the Obama administration refused to equip police with military gear.

In detailing his administration’s support for law enforcement, Mr. Trump said he was “allowing our local police to access surplus military equipment — something the previous administration for some reason refused to do. Explain that one.”

In August, Mr. Trump fully restored a program supplying military equipment to local police. But he is exaggerating the restrictions placed on the program by President Barack Obama and inaccurately suggested that Mr. Obama’s decision came without a cause.

In 2015, the Obama administration prohibited police departments from obtaining track armored vehicles, weaponized aircraft grenade launchers and bayonets, among other weapons, at the recommendation of a task force it assembled after the Ferguson protests.

Since the program allowed other kinds of police equipment, Qiu labels Trump’s assertion false.

3. He claimed, without evidence, that countries give “us their worst people” through the diversity immigration visa program.

The program, known as the diversity visa lottery, provides an immigration pathway for people who come to the United States from countries with low levels of immigration, have no close relatives living here and lack special skills.

Mr. Trump’s claim that other countries use the program to expel undesirable members from their own societies is unfounded and implausible.

It certainly sounds possible, knowing that Cuba’s former Communist dictator Fidel Castro sent some violent prisoners and inmates of mental health facilities to the United States during the Mariel Boatlift in 1980.

4. He suggested that sanctuary cities protect criminals.

Sanctuary cities limit their cooperation with federal immigration officials. But they do not stop law enforcement from pursuing criminals, as Mr. Trump suggested when he claimed, “Our cities should not be sanctuaries for criminals.”

Did the case of Katherine Steinle, killed by an illegal immigrant and five-times deported felon, truly not reach Qiu?

This story appears the day after a ridiculous report, due to appear in the paper’s Sunday section, claimed President Obama told only 18 whoppers during his entire eight-year term got some pushback on MSNBC’s Morning Joe program. Tim Carney of the Washington Examiner focused on how Leonhardt’s compilation of Obama lies did not include some extremely obvious whoppers on the part of Obama.
