Child Sex Trafficking in the US is Exploding, Govt Admits They Aren’t Stopping It

traffickingtrafficking

A recent report on the number of sexually exploited children in Florida gives insight into a horrific world that is often ignored by the media, and that rarely holds millionaires, politicians and even local officials accountable for their involvement.

A report from the Florida legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis & Government Accountability concluded that the state’s Department of Children and Family (DCF) and its lead agencies “have not resolved issues related to serving commercially sexually exploited children.”

The report found that in 2016, 356 verified commercially sexually exploited child victims were identified, as opposed to 264 identified in 2015. It noted that many of the victims who were identified earlier were, “both children in child welfare dependency and those living in the community with family—have since been re-victimized, involved with the criminal justice system, or only attended school intermittently.”

“During 2016, DCF’s Florida Abuse Hotline received 2,013 reports alleging the CSE of children, which is a 57% increase over the 2015 reports. Child protective investigators investigated 1,386 (or 69%) of those reports. Counties with the highest number of CSE reports include Miami-Dade (248), Broward (232), Orange (150), and Hillsborough (144). DCF hotline staff did not refer cases for investigation if the allegation did not rise to the level of reasonable (74%), there were no means to locate the victim (11%), or the alleged perpetrator was not the child’s caregiver (8%). Of the reports that were referred for investigation, most came from DJJ, the Department of Corrections, or criminal justice personnel (20%) and law enforcement (15%).”

In 2016, the National Human Trafficking Hotline received reports of 7,572 human trafficking cases, which was a substantial increase from 5,544 cases in 2015 and 5,042 cases in 2014. Florida ranked third on the list with 550 cases, behind Texas with 670 cases and California with 1,323 cases.

Out of the 7,572 human trafficking cases reported in the United States in 2016, the majority or 5,551 were “sex trafficking” cases, and 2,387 of the reported victims were minors.

The report on child sex trafficking in Florida suggested that the increase in victims was due to the process DCF and the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) use to “select children to screen as well as the screening tool itself may limit accurate identification of CSE child victims.”

The report also noted that 62 percent of the children who were labeled as commercially sexually exported remained “in the community and are referred to voluntary, local services.” As a result, “no data is readily available on whether the children use these services.”

The Free Thought Project has provided extensive coverage of the sex trafficking epidemic in the U.S., especially in relation to minors who become victims after they are kidnapped from their homes and placed in foster care.

In April, two pastors who were foster care advocates were arrested for running a child sex ring in Ohio. The pastors, who had influence on their county’s Child Service’s Board of Trustees, were charged with “recruiting, enticing and transporting people the men knew were under 18 to engage in sex acts for pay.” The trafficking was ongoing for at least three years, and initially began with a 14-year-old girl.

In June, a lawsuit was filed in the case of a 5-year-old girl who was given to the leader of a child sex ring in Arizona. She was taken from her mother who was battling an addiction with substance abuse, and she was put in the custody of a pedophile who sexually abused her, tortured her, and ultimately left her fighting for her life.

The recent report from Florida is another reminder that child sex trafficking is a horrific element of the human trafficking epidemic that has been ongoing and increasing in the United States. While government involvement has always been an element, it has yet to put a stop to the increasing number of children who are subjected to life-altering abuse on a daily basis.

UN Admits: 70% of Immigrants "Not fleeing War"

At least 70 percent of the nonwhite flood currently invading Europe are not fleeing conflict at all—and those claiming to be Syrians are a tiny minority of the remaining 30 percent, a new report from the United Nations has admitted.

Titled “Mixed Migration Trends in Libya: Changing Dynamics and Protection Challenges,” the new report was prepared by Altai Consulting in partnership with IMPACT Initiatives (IMPACT), for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Libya.

According to the politically correct report, “30 percent [of] migrants are fleeing conflict or persecution, [while] 70 percent of those arriving in Italy are economic migrants with little chance of receiving asylum.”

Most of the invaders massing in Libya come from West African states like Nigeria, Gambia and Guinea. According the study, the vast majority of invaders are young, single men with little or no education. About 14 percent are unaccompanied minors, mainly from Eritrea, Gambia and Nigeria.

Based on interviews on the ground, the study found that about half of the invaders had moved to Libya to seek work, but then “decided to move on to Europe.”

Almost all the invaders were suing the “rapidly expanding criminal trafficking networks, both to enter Libya through the porous southern desert border and onward by boat to Europe.”

“The smuggling industry has grown increasingly professional and transnational smuggling organizations further developed,” the report said. “Armed groups play an increasingly dominant role in the smuggling industry.”

The report went on to reveal that many of the invaders “report travelling to Libya for economic reasons,” and, significantly , “many engage in circular or repetitive migrations”—in other words, go around and around, collecting money and welfare handouts from liberal Europeans along the way.

“Nationals of West and Central Africa countries: mainly from Nigeria, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Senegal, Ghana, Mali and Cameroon, these people report having left largely for economic reasons,” the report continued.

“Nationals of Eastern Africa countries: from Eritrea, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan. They reported making the journey for a range of reasons including political persecution, conflict, and economic distress in their countries of origin.

“Individuals from other regions: Syrians, Palestinians, Iraqis, Moroccans, Bangladeshis and others. Syrians, Palestinians and Iraqis flee conflict and violence while others looking for livelihood opportunities.”

Another significant change is the increase in West and Central Africans, who now represent well over half of all arrivals to Europe, the report added.

In addition to Nigerians, now the most dominant nationality in terms of arrivals, Guineans (13,345), Ivoirians (12,396), Gambians (11,929), Malians (10,010) and Senegalese (10,327) were all amongst the top 10 countries of origin of arrivals in Italy in 2016.

Furthermore, “most refugees and migrants in Libya are young single men,” and “families travelling as a unit are rare, except among Syrians and Palestinians.”
The report also revealed that most of the invaders are “unqualified,” and have pitiful levels of education: “of respondents interviewed in the South and Tripoli: 49 percent had little or no education; 35 percent went to high school, and only 16 percent received vocational training or attended higher education institutions.”

Even that was of course “self-reported,”—that is, what the invaders themselves claim, and is thus likely to be grossly exaggerated.

Finally, the report said that there were a “significant number of Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC), particularly teenagers and mainly from Eritrea, The Gambia and Nigeria. They represented 14 percent of total arrivals in Europe in 2016, double those of the previous year.”

The report did not point out that the African invaders in particular come from an area where the average IQ varies from 59 to 83. On the Stanford-Binet IQ testing scale (Stanford–Binet Fifth Edition, SB5, classification), an IQ of between 70 and 79 is officially classed as “Borderline impaired or delayed.”

‘I Was Wrong’: Judge Admits Jailing People for Pot ‘Haunts’ Him After Cannabis Saved His Life

cannabiscannabis

Prior to this year, the state of Florida was regarded as one of the worst possible states to be caught in possession of cannabis. According to a 2009 analysis by former NORML Director Jon Gettman, no state in this country punished people more severely for minor marijuana offenses than Florida. However, thanks in part to a former Florida judge, all this is gradually changing.

By October 3, for the first time in its history, the state will issue IDs to medical marijuana patients. However, according to the former judge, the law doesn’t go nearly far enough.

Throughout the course of his career as a Florida judge, Doug Bench hated marijuana. He admits to locking up hundreds of people for this plant and did so because he thought it was the right thing to do. While it is too late for the now-retired judge to help those whose lives he likely ruined through the persecution of pot, he is taking actions to help countless others now and in the future.

When Bench was diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or COPD, which can result in a slow and painful death, his life was saved after realizing the benefits of cannabis in treating his disease. Now, Bench has made it his life’s work to wake people up to the “70 years of lies” the US government has told the citizens about marijuana.

In a public forum on Florida’s Medical Marijuana Implementation earlier this year, Bench presented a powerful speech to note how the law simply does not go far enough to help those who need access to cannabis.

“I put 311 people in jail for marijuana offenses — and I was wrong,” the judge says as he opens up his speech.

“I’ve been haunted for 30 years, wondering how many of those (people I put in jail) were using cannabis for medical reasons because our government suppressed that information for 70 years.”

Bench then notes that it was his COPD that opened his eyes to the benefits of cannabis.

“I’m now an advocate for medical marijuana because two years ago, I was diagnosed with a terminal disease,” he explains, before going on to explain that his wife’s “four hours of research on the internet,” found the benefits of cannabis oil for COPD.

“I hated marijuana, I hated the use of marijuana and the violation of the law,” Bench explains. “But, I had no choice, I had to break the law if I wanted to live.”

Bench, like so many other people who the Free Thought Project has interviewed and reported on, was forced to become a criminal to save his own life — in the land of the free.

At this point, Bench then advocates to let free enterprise handle the solution to medical marijuana instead of the slow turning wheels of the bureaucracy. Instead of a top-down system of the state running everything in regards to a plant that heals people, Bench advocates for a horizontal integration, allowing ease of access at all levels, not just those well-connected lobbyists with state ties.

“By the time you finally go (to the doctor to get medical cannabis), you need it now, not 90 days from now,” Bench said before calling out the restrictive nature of the Florida law.

“I think you should take the word ‘debilitating’ totally out of it,” said Bench. “What I had, COPD, a terminal disease, is not on your list.”

“I’d be dead if I had to treat under this mandate of Florida law.”

The heroism and humility shown by Doug Bench are inspiring, to say the least. If a tiny fraction of the people within law enforcement and government had half of this man’s gumption, the drug war would be over tomorrow and people who can benefit from cannabis would have access immediately.

The Free Thought Project salutes you, Judge Doug Bench. Please share this article to show others how change is possible and even the most staunch drug warriors, who “hate marijuana,” have the ability to change.

EPA Delays Rules Limiting Methane Admission, Admits it may Harm Kids

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will delay a federal air pollution rule for 2 years, admitting that the decision will disproportionately harm children.

The agency said it will suspend standards aimed at preventing leaks from the oil and gas industry while it mulls the rule, which the Obama administration introduced in June 2016. The rule would reduce methane, a greenhouse gas, and emissions that lead to smog.

The EPA says the move will save the oil and gas industry roughly $173 million. [2]

The agency says not to worry – any harm the delay might cause children would be for a “limited” time.

“Any impacts on children’s health caused by the delay in the rule will be limited, because the length of the proposed stay is limited. The agency therefore believes it is more appropriate to consider the impact on children’s health in the context of any substantive changes proposed as part of reconsideration.”

Environmental groups are furious over the delay, saying children would especially be at risk from carcinogenic pollutants like benzene if the EPA lifts the regulation. The law applies to approximately 18,000 oil and gas facilities across 22 states. [1]

Peter Zalzal, lead attorney at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), said:

“It is unconscionable that this unprecedented loophole for oil and gas pollution will increase dangerous smog, methane, and cancer-causing benzene when commonsense solutions are at hand. Every day that these clean air safeguards are delayed, thousands of oil and gas wells across the country will emit dangerous pollution in the air, harming the health of our children. We are taking legal action to carry out our nation’s clean air laws and fight for the health of children across America.” [2]

The EDF takes particular exception to a section of the EPA’s announcement of the delay that states:

“EPA believes that the environmental health or safety risk addressed by this action may have a disproportionate effect on children… However, because this action merely proposes to delay the 2016 Rule, this action will not change any impacts of the 2016 Rule after the stay. Any impacts on children’s health caused by the delay in the rule will be limited, because the length of the proposed stay is limited.”

The lawsuit states:

“The cornerstone of the rule is its requirements for leak detection and repair, which direct oil and gas companies to monitor their well sites and compressor stations at regular intervals to detect leaks (also called fugitive emissions) of air pollutants, repair those leaks within specified periods, and report periodically on those actions.”

The EDF points out that the announcement acknowledges that the delay may sicken children, but argues that more illness for only 2 years is acceptable.

Air Pollution IS Harmful

air pollution

air pollution

Air pollution does, indeed, cause cancer, and that’s based on the EPA’s own research. In the U.S. alone, pollution causes about 200,000 deaths each year. Toxic nanoparticles from air pollution have been found “in abundance” in human brain tissue, and these toxins may cause Alzheimer’s disease. Air pollution has even been linked to suicide.

The EDF and other environmental groups are suing the EPA over its decision to delay the rule. The agency had originally planned to delay the ordinance by 3 months, but it has since been stretched to 2019, following a period of public comment and a final EPA decision. [1]

Said Joanne Spalding, chief climate counsel at the Sierra Club:

“This isn’t simply mean-spirited, it’s a deliberate attempt to benefit the oil and gas industry at the expense of our public health. Delaying the implementation of the standards last week was illegal and extending that 90-day stay to 2 years is equally valid.” [2]

The EDF, Sierra Club, and other groups involved in the lawsuit argue the EPA lacks the authority to issue a stay that is likely to cause irreparable harm to the residents living in close proximity to the aforementioned more than 18,000 new and modifiable wells subjected to the Obama-era rule. They said:

“Promulgated rules remain in effect unless and until they are validly changed through the Clean Air Act’s enhanced rule-making procedures.”

Mark Brownstein, EDF’s vice president of climate and energy, said in a statement:

“The oil and gas industry tell us natural gas is a clean, low carbon fuel, but industry lobbyists and lawyers then argue to remove the protections necessary to deliver on that claim. Sadly, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is only too happy to do their bidding. Every day these common sense rules are not in effect, the public’s health is at risk, the climate is threatened, and the nation’s valuable energy resources are being wasted.”

O’Keefe Undercover Bombshell: CNN Producer Admits Trump-Russia Story is BS

James O’Keefe strikes again!

Project Veritas just dropped bombshell undercover video of CNN Producer John Bonifield admitting the Trump-Russia story is B.S. but they continue to push the false narrative for ‘ratings’.

O’Keefe teased his Twitter followers on Monday by sending out a cryptic tweet saying, “Independence Day is approaching, but this year the fireworks come early.”

James O’Keefe released part one of his ‘American Pravda’ series with CNN. O’Keefe says his goal is to expose the real motivation behind the decision making process in our dominant media corporation. The Russia story has dominated CNN. Since the inauguration, CNN has mentioned Russia on air nearly 16,000 times.

P.V. Journalist: “So you believe the Russia thing is a little crazy, right?”

John Bonifield (CNN Producer): “Even if Russian was trying to swing an election, we try to swing their elections, our CIA is doing shit all the time, we’re out there trying to manipulate governments. You win because you know the game, you play it right. She (Hillary) didn’t play it right.”

PV Journalist: “Then why is CNN constantly like Russia this, Russia that?”

John Bonifield: “Because it’s ratings. Our ratings are incredible right now.”

Bonifield went on to say that the CEO of CNN, Jeff Zucker demanded that his news channel get back to the ratings winner that Russia is for CNN.

Bonifield laughed off the notion that the media has an ethical responsibility and said ‘it’s a business’ and ‘they gotta what they gotta do to make money’.

PV Journalist: “But honestly, you think the whole Russia shit is just bullshit right?”

Bonifield: “Could be bullshit. I mean it’s mostly bullshit right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof.”

Bonifield went on to say that if there was proof that the Russia story is real, we would know about it by now because of all the leaks. He said that he doesn’t feel like they have anything, but they want to just keep digging.

Shockingly, Bonifield actually took Trump’s side and said, “I think the President is probably right to say, like, look, you are witch-hunting me. You have no smoking gun, you have no real proof.”

CNN Producer Admits Russia Narrative Is ‘Bullsh*t,’ Just For ‘Ratings’

“It’s mostly bullsh*t right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof,” Bonifield tells a reporter in secretly-filmed footage released by conservative activist James O’Keefe via Project Veritas.

O’Keefe formed Veritas in 2010 claiming its mission is to “investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud and other misconduct.” It has since been sued for its information-gathering methods, primarily targeting liberal organizations, and presenting its findings in a misleading, highly edited format.

In this latest Veritas sting, Bonifield, Supervising Producer at CNN Health, makes the admissions to an unidentified journalist, who is heard in a brief edit of clips asking about the Russian narrative in CNN’s reporting.

“So why is CNN constantly like, ‘Russia this, Russia that?’” the journalist asks, to which Bonifield responds, “Because it’s ratings.”

“Our CIA is doing shit all the time, we’re out there trying to manipulate governments,” Bonifield says.

“I think the President is probably right to say, like, look, you are witch-hunting me,” Bonifield admits.

CNN’s Russia tactic has paid off, Bonifield admits: “Our ratings are incredible right now.”

Bonifield explains how far CNN pushed the Russia line, describing a meeting in which reporters were told by the CEO to stop covering climate accords, urging instead “Let’s get back to Russia.”

“It’s a business, people are like the media has an ethical phssssss…All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business,” Bonifield says in the video.

Bonifield does not mention CNN’s current CEO Jeff Zucker by name in the video, which O’Keefe says was filmed in Atlanta in a video monologue.

RT has reached out to CNN for comment, but has yet to receive a response.

Three CNN journalists resigned this week following the retraction of a story published on their website which investigated a “Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials.”

CNN claims the initial publication of the article, which contained only one source for the claim, was due to a “breakdown in editorial workflow.”

O’Keefe’s record as a highly controversial conservative activist goes back almost a decade. He previously had a deal to publish his sting videos on a Breitbart site, biggovernment.com.

In May 2015, the Trump Foundation donated $10,000 to Project Veritas. Donald Trump later cited an O’Keefe video depicting democrats advocating incitement of violence at Trump rallies.

The Intercept reports O’Keefe is the subject of a million-dollar lawsuit that alleges he broke local and federal wiretapping laws in a sting operation on Democracy Partners, dubbed as “modern-day Watergate burglars.”

The lawsuit claims O’Keefe and his organization infiltrated a Democratic consulting firm under false pretenses, secretly recorded conversations and published heavily edited footage of the conversations.

O’Keefe claims the lawsuit is an intimidation tactic to impede Project Veritas’ “army of guerrilla journalists” and their pursuit of the truth.

Project Veritas released 119 hours of raw audio in February that O’Keefe claimed came from CNN.

Ongoing accusations that Russia assisted Trump’s campaign have plagued his presidency, with allegations that the hack of the Democratic National Committee which leaked emails from Hillary Clinton’s team was ordered directly by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

No evidence has been produced to back up the claims, which Moscow has resolutely denied.

WATCH: CNN Producer Admits Russia Narrative is ‘Bullsh*t’ with ‘No Proof’ for Ratings

cnncnn

In yet another nail in the coffin that is the mainstream media’s conspiracy theory that Russia somehow intervened in the 2016 elections, a hidden camera has captured the essential smoking gun, proving that it’s all lies. A senior producer at CNN was just exposed admitting that Russia gate is nothing but “bullsh*t.”

The senior producer, John Bonifield was secretly recorded as he described the intense speculation that Russia aided the Trump presidential campaign as “bullsh*t.” Filmed on a hidden camera, the senior CNN producer admits the organization’s anti-Russia reporting is purely for ratings.

“It’s mostly bullsh*t right now. Like, we don’t have any big giant proof,” Bonifield tells a reporter in secretly-filmed footage.

In the video, an unidentified journalist is asking the senior CNN producer why they are covering the Russia conspiracy theory so heavily, given there has yet to be any concrete evidence showing it.

CNN pushing the Russia conspiracy theory is doing exactly what it is designed to do, keep people tuned in and distracted and Bonifield admits that is exactly what’s happening. “Our ratings are incredible right now,” he says on the video.

As RT reports, Bonifield explains how far CNN pushed the Russia line, describing a meeting in which reporters were told by the CEO to stop covering climate accords, urging instead “Let’s get back to Russia.”

“It’s a business, people are like the media has an ethical phssssss…All the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business,” Bonifield says in the video.

The footage was released by conservative activist James O’Keefe via Project Veritas.

It is important to point out that Project Veritas has been known to spin its videos by heavily editing them to make their case. As RT notes, O’Keefe formed Veritas in 2010 claiming its mission is to “investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud and other misconduct.” It has since been sued for its information-gathering methods, primarily targeting liberal organizations, and presenting its findings in a misleading, highly edited format.

This video, however, needs no heavy editing to get the point.

The CNN Russia hysteria apparently got too big for their own good, however, and they have since been caught with their hand in the ratings cookie jar.

As Buzzfeed noted over the weekend, CNN is imposing strict new publishing restrictions for online articles involving Russia after the network deleted a story and then issued a retraction late Friday, according to an internal email obtained by BuzzFeed News.

The email went out at 11:21 a.m. on Saturday from Rich Barbieri, the CNNMoney executive editor, saying “No one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and Jason [Farkas],” a CNN vice president.

“This applied to social, video, editorial, and MoneyStream. No exceptions,” the email added. “I will lay out a workflow Monday.”

Perhaps CNN knew that this video was about to be released. Or, perhaps, they had simply been proven wrong too many times. Either way, the curtain is getting pulled back.

As the Free Thought Project has continuously reported, there has yet to be a single shred of concrete evidence proving interference in the 2016 election by Russia. In spite of the mainstream media putting out stories of anonymous sources confirming Russian hacking, other than documents claiming it happened, the public has seen nothing.

This complete lack of evidence was backed up earlier this month during fired FBI Director James Comey’s Senate testimony, during which he admitted he’s never seen any evidence of Russian interference in the election.

Hopefully, with the release of this video, people will wake up to what’s really going on. American’s are being distracted with ‘bullsh*t’ so the establishment can continue to fleece them, wage wars for profit, and usurp their rights. Make no mistake, no matter what you hear on the television, it is business as usual in Washington.

FEMA Search & Rescue worker admits his Denver-based team arrived to Manhattan 1-day ahead of 9/11

LOWER MANHATTAN (INTELLIHUB) — A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Task Force worker by the name of Tom Kenney admitted during a live broadcast of a Sept. 13, 2001 CBS News segment titled: “Attack On America” in which he admitted to journalist Dan Rather that his Denver-based Urban Search & Rescue team had arrived to Manhattan the night prior to the attacks and was able to quickly spring into action the following morning as scheduled.

The rescue worker said that FEMA had provided his team with adequate training to be able to go into extremely dangerous areas of the debris pile at the World Trade Center following the attacks.

“Nobody is being place in jeopardy for this operation,” he said. “However, it’s still being conducted as an actual rescue.”

Soon after, Kenney appears to have slipped up when he told CBS News: “To be honest, we arrived on late Monday night and went into action on Tuesday morning and not until today did we get a full opportunity to work the entire site other than the spot […] which we were deployed.”
