Brett Dennen releases new music video for ‘Already Gone’

Singer-Songwriter Brett Dennen released a new music video for “Already Gone” today, from his EP Let’s…, and it seems in the process, Dennen helped an octogenarian cross off items on her bucket list.

Directed by Craig Allen, the music video starts with an interview with Vera Taylor, an 80-year old who has yet to cross hundreds of items off her bucket list. When asked if there’s anything that’s preventing this she replies, “Being busy. You know, busy with the home, busy with the family, busy with work.”

Cue Dennen to the rescue. In the video, the singer takes over Vera’s household chores (making the bed, vacuuming, doing laundry, etc.) while Vera checks off her list with activities including learning how to surf, going skydiving and streaking down a beach.

In a statement, Dennen explained the reason behind the video. “This is a part of our year-long campaign for spreading positivity,” said Dennen. “I think it’s important that we make the time to do the things we really want to do. It inspires more good things to come.”

As for Vera, she had the time of her life. “The day I completed everything on my bucket list was one of the most fun and exciting days in my life,” said Taylor. “Skydiving was my favorite, to the last minute I was not sure that I would jump out the airplane but I did and cannot be more thrilled.”
