Music fans now know who will perform during Monday’s “American Idol” grand finale. ABC announced the lineup of talent for its singing competition on Saturday, one day after NBC detailed its guest performers for “The Voice.”
Per the network’s press release, all three “Idol” judges will perform during Monday’s show. Luke Bryan will perform twice, once alone with his single “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” and once alongside finalist Gabby Barrett as they cover his song “Most People Are Good”, both from his current album What Makes You Country. Katy Perry will bring back fan favorite Catie Turner for a duet version of her hit “Part Of Me,” while Lionel Richie will have the season’s Top 10 contestants join him in covering his classic “All Night Long.”
“Idol” fans can see two of the three judges live next month as they tour overseas. In June, Perry will begin her European tour, with stops including London, Stockholm and Manchester; fans can get tickets to select shows now through AXS here. Richie also has a slate of European concerts lined up and those tickets are available here, before he returns to the United States for this year’s JAS Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience in Snowmass, CO on Friday, Aug. 31. Tickets to see Richie at Snowmass Town Park are on sale through AXS here.
Other guest performers in Monday’s “American Idol” closer are a returning Bebe Rexha, Nick Jonas, Darius Rucker, Gary Clark Jr., Yolanda Adams, Patti LaBelle and Kermit the Frog of The Muppets fame. Both Rucker and Clark will be touring after they appear on the “Idol” finale. Rucker has a limited amount of European concerts in October that AXS has tickets for here, while Clark will also be part of the Snowmass Labor Day Experience on Sunday, Sept. 2 and then play Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Tickets for that concert range from $44.50 to $79.50 and can be purchased here.
The “American Idol” grand finale airs Monday, May 21 at 9 p.m. on ABC. For more on any of the performing artists, click their names to visit their AXS artist pages.
